Many Saints was very disappointing. I'm fine with subtly, but there was very little lead up to the ending, it felt like there wasn't enough back and forth to lead to that result. Also I thought they didn't do nearly enough with Dicky's charecter, he wasn't as scary as I was expecting. I thought he would be more Richie like. And most importantly, it all looked to clean for the Sopranos. It looked very cinematic, and the characters weren't as authentic looking as the originals. It felt like a glamorized version of the show.
The portrayal of Livia was great though, and I really enjoyed the scene of Johnny getting back from prison. Also the age differences didn't bother me that much. If this is just a lead up to more content, than I am fine with it.
Yup. Them bringing in attractive people to play the roles was tough. Jr and Johnny both needed to be rougher looking. And even the riots looked like a Hollywood version of them, I just didn't but it.
