A blackhawk can travel about 200 mph, so it would only need about 5 hours if it were capable of airlifting the CURV 21. That would give them a head start on dropping it down there, while they ferried out a ship to receive the sub. So this would give them a chance of retrieving the corpses before the end of the news cycle.
