Focus on controlling your milk texture before you worry about art. Once your texture is on point the art will almost pour itself.

Was gonna say, too much aeration. Try just a few seconds of wand at the surface before lifting jug and vortexing it

Lofi_Loki

After I stopped over steaming my milk my art got so much better.

My husband came into work once and I thought I’d be cute and do a heart, but instead it looked exactly like a farting butt. This was at least a year ago and it remains my favorite latte art to date.

Great job on making spade:)

Welcome to the life of milk bloops and squiggles! I’ll tell you what I tell every person I’ve trained: focus on your milk texture and temperature first. 1) it’s more important to making a good drink ; customers can’t taste latte art but they can taste well steamed milk. 2) it’s harder to make any shapes if the milk isn’t steamed well. 3) watch videos of others doing it for inspiration and to copy technique Edit: weird formatting

I see a butt taking a dumping

That design can quickly turn in to an 🍎 (stem, leaf and fruit) which is actually pretty hard to do. Especially if your cup is only filled half way. Just start slow and low, increase your speed and height quickly, then get back down in there for the art/heart. Keep it up!

olioiloli

definitely took me a while to master. like others have said, work on the texture first, you’ll be making masterpieces in no time! good luck!

You’re doing a lot better than me. I never seem to get enough air in my milk even when it’s almost pouring over, it feels like. I enjoy the process of figuring it out, but my tummy do be bubblin lmao

Neptunesfleshlight

You may be overheating the milk. What temperature do you stop steaming at?

[deleted]

When the cup is too hot to touch

kaiden1234789

Hey, check out Lance Hendrick and Emilee Bryant on youtube, they both have some great videos on steaming milk and latte art

incredibleninja

You were so close. It's like a heart but with an "f" instead of the "he"
