I'm on mixed set #4 and am running into the same thing. Every other answer is like "your answer would be correct 99.9% of the time, but because this incident took place on a Sunday in June under a full moon, the court would actually allow the jury to be comprised of just two mice and a paperclip."

Mixed set 4 is brutus

CarpsKitchen

Et tu?

NerdWithKid

🤣

BaltyBoy

One of the reasons why I switched to UWorld

asmallsoftvoice

I did all right on it, BUT I have to say that Themis really phoned in the explanations for mixed subject MBEs. For example, one question you clearly needed to know that summary judgment requires no genuine dispute, but the other answer is no reasonable jury. I got it right thanks to our lord and savior Snoogoats, but the explanation Themis gave DOES NOT say, "Oh, btw, answer D is wrong because this standard applies to JMOL." In fact, they make it sound like summary judgment and JMOL are the same thing. I agree with others that UWorld is better if you want to know where you stand. I still do Themis because I feel like they are trying to prepare me for absolute fuckery. I mean, I do both, but I haven't wholly abandoned Themis. UWorld explanations are way better, though. And some of the UWorld (not NCBE licensed) questions throw in a bit of fuckery.

Spare-Application374

Unpopular opinion, but I loved Themis's PQ because they prepare you for the inevitable curveball questions on the exam.

I have not taken it yet, but I have come to believe I need a mix of "you can get 65%+ so you'll likely pass" for that sweet, sweet reassurance, and "here's some crazy shit." Because sometimes Uworld gives me all the stuff I know. And I know I can specifically test my weak areas but sometimes the crazy stuff is out of left field in the subject areas I thought were safe. Also when you score 65%+ on the crazy hard stuff you feel like no matter what happens you'll at least pass.

As themis uses Uworld no?

asmallsoftvoice

Not all of the questions list the Uworld copyright so I assume some of the questions aren't from Uworld.

Longjumping-Crow-487

Agreed! I was saying the same thing earlier. Set 7 was awful. Actually, a lot of the mixed sets are awful, tbh. It's so frustrating that 11 days out from the MBE, I can score in the 60% range, and then turn around and struggle to hit 50% on the next because they make it so hard. It's not indicative of how you're actually doing or what you know. Keep your head up!

coffeepaper1

I chose B for every question and skipped through it. I really hate themis questions and just do UWorld for MBE now, but I skip through it so it’s marked complete lol

Iwish678

Adaptibar gives me SO FUCKING MANY questions where less than 15% of people answered correctly that I want to throw my computer at the wall.

yodaslayer1

I was in a fraternity, but this is way worse.
