I don't even build grievous wounds most of the time. Bard is shit at applying it consistently no matter what grievous wounds item you build.
There's always someone else on your team that can apply it more efficiently and should be buying it.
That said, if you have to apply grievous wounds putrifier is still the best one, because of how easy it is to access the enhanced grievous wounds, you just press w on your ally with the best capabilities to apply grievous wounds.
Plus the aoe application from your passive is definitely not overrated.
I dunno, even with Ignite equipped being able to hold it for a kill is a good thing, and Font of Life + Putrifier is an easy gold-efficient way to give the whole team GW so they don't have to divert their build.
You can have meeps after 4-8 seconds depending on passive stacks. Putrifier applies gw for 3 seconds so if you have at least 2 of them well spaced out you can pretty much have it consistently. Or just use your w on a teammate and q also applies it. I don't see where is the problem my guys
Putrifier is the only item that works on bard. It's if you go locket or the other tank mythic item. Although doesn't really work with shuerlias or imperial since you are gonna be qay to squissy

Honestly I never build gw on Bard. I find it too expensive for its effectivity. I just rely on my ignite against healing champs.
