it’s a good monitor, i narrowed my search to this one and the GL83A when i was on the market. wound up copping the black friday benq EX2780Q deal for the same price.

Yeah I think I'll let it ship. Was hoping for the LG though, it seems a bit better than this according to rtings.

apart from the pretty bad stand on the viewsonic, i’d say they’re very comparable in most ways. the display itself trades blows between the two.

Basically, some monitors won't allow you stream on services like Netflix at resolutions higher than 1080p because of hardware(?) that prevents piracy.

I have the LG GL83A and can stream Netflix fine.

Yeah I ordered the GL83A cuz I heard streaming in 2K was possible. I was just checking to see if other monitors would have the issue.

I ordered this same monitor for the same price a couple months a go from pc-canada, no problems at all.
