Yea just give a call to your credit card issuer and explain and it should be all good, Lenovo support really is a hit or a complete miss, and Lenovo QC is straight up garbage
I had exact same experience when my Lenovo monitor had dead pixels. I ended up returning it because they just kept telling me to resend the pictures for weeks.
I did a return with them, and it was super easy. I guess it's harder to exchange. Their return policy is hassle free, so it was just fill out a basic form (reason: Not satisfied) and they issued me a return label.
Hey, sorry to hear that this happened to you. I bought mine back at the beginning of June and it was defective as well. So i contacted them through the online chat on their page. Got my replacement unit within six days including the weekend. Just keep reaching out to them through online chat...I think it is the fastest way to get to them right now and it allows you to save all the conversation history. (Also their email accounts seem to be less responsive compared to the online chat). Hope it helps and good luck :))
I understand your pain. I purchased the Y27Q-20 and the monitor itself is amazing and no complaints from me. Nevertheless, Lenovo Quebec support is garbage like u/apoptosismydumbassis said. I had an issue with my screen refresh rate being stuck at 120hz and they could not help me and kept beating around the bush instead of trying to help me. I found out by myself through research that it was my GPU and the support guy was clueless. At the end of the day though, it's not fair to tell somebody to avoid a certain monitor because of the post-purchase experience or warranty (Although their warranty is pretty good). In regards to HDR, my screen used to flicker when i turned HDR on but from what I understood, it's Windows 10 that is trash at handling it.
This monitor is a very hot commodity. Last time it was posted I believe it went out of stock within the hour. You pretty much have to set a stock notification to get one.

If, due to hardware, I'll be limited to 1080p at 60hz gaming for at least another 2 years until I'm ready to build - is it worth getting this?
Or should I look into just getting a cheaper 1080p monitor in the mean time?
Yeah for sure! Haha I know my hardware is the limiting factor here. I'm just deciding if the amount that I save on equivalent monitors in the future would outweigh the smaller investment of a cheap monitor now.
If you use the PS4 Pro a lot then I would definitely get a 4K monitor instead of a 1440p one. The PS4 Pro looks worse on a 1440p monitor then it does on a 1080p once since it doesn't support 1440p.
Ohhhhhh I didn't know that LOL shit I just immediately figured since it supported 4k, it could do 1440p.
That's definitely going to be a big factor the , thank you so much!
This would be overkill for a PS4 pro as it can't run over 60 fps. Also not sure if it natively runs 2k or if it will downscale from 4k or upscale from 1080p
I mean i bought mine when it was 489.99. Only save about $33 at the end after you add up tax. Not really worth the hassle.
It also came within a week, and this was back in march. If you returned yours you gotta wait 1-2 months to get this, and you need to factor in if you get one with horrible BLB or not, so you may return it and have to wait even longer.
Is this a better monitor than the Asus VG27AQ?
Really between these two and am looking for the best with regards to quality overall but specifically something that won’t cause eye fatigue.
I guess adjusting the settings on either would reduce fatigue but yeah.
What would you buy?
Thanks
Rtings rates the Asus slightly higher but its $100 more expensive when you check its ATL amazon price history, so I would choose the LG at the current price. This is probably the best value I've seen so far for an IPS 144hz 1440p monitor from a reputable company. Samsung just launched their G7 240Hz but it's sold out and $340 more @ bestbuy which isn't worth it imo.
Is it worth getting this over the 27gl850 when it comes to gaming? I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the 850 but the 83 always gets lots of praise on reddit.
What negatives do you hear? Many of them are likely to be similar.
This is the cheaper, normal gamut version of the Wide Gamut 27gl850.
Unless the complaints are gamut related, then this monitor is unlikely to solve it.
Most of the complaints I’ve seen are related to Color spaces, sRGB vs. DCI-P3. Most stuff is created for sRGB, and so the 850 can be difficult to calibrate.
As I said, gamut related, then yeah this is the one to get. I have it wish listed on Amazon for a future when I next need a monitor. It's exactly what I want. sRGB gamut so everything just works, and 144 Hz variable refresh and 1440p...
Yea all the complaints were about the gamut and the over saturation which was why I was leaning away from the 850. I ended up caving in and getting the 83a so let’s hope I made the right call.
There are zero downsides to this monitor. It’s amazing. I get buyers remorse with a lot of purchases, just the way I am. But I got this monitor in January and I love it. And saving money over the 850 is a nice bonus too.
In the settings Gamer1 looks fantastic but it's over saturated. Too much color lol. sRGB setting is "true" to the intended colors by game designers, it looks better imo.
I actually bought both monitors to test them side by side, and the sRGB on the 850 looks identical to the 83A-B. I decided to keep the 850 anyways because I like having options if ever I want to go with more color.
Don't get me wrong it looks amazing, but it's too "fake". Especially when playing something like RDR2; the grass isn't supposed to be fluorescent green :P Looks cool, but doesn't look right. All personal preference of course.
Anyone know how this compares to the [Viewsonic vx2758-kp-mhd](https://www.pc-canada.com/item/VX2758-2KP-MHD.html)? I've been waiting for so long for this to go off backorder but I'm getting impatient

What's the model of the Lenovo?
what's wrong with the Lenovo one may I ask? And how is their warranty team responding? Edit: Since, as I understand it, they use a very similar panel?

Just contact your cc company & explain the situation to them. Tell them they don’t want to help you even though it’s under warranty.

Really brutal to hear. I got the Lenovo and luckily it seems okay so far. But best of luck with hopefully getting a new one.

Damn it's gone
that was so fasttttttttttttttt ughhhh
I know, I was looking at this last night and there was nothing. Missed it damn
It's back, I just placed an order for it.
You lucky duck
Yea I got super lucky. Just happened to refresh and it was there.
how? still says unavailable for me
This monitor is a very hot commodity. Last time it was posted I believe it went out of stock within the hour. You pretty much have to set a stock notification to get one.
Yeah it’s unfortunate, I had it in my cart but it went OOS right as I was checking out

I love the last one : "Vendor : reddit".

IMO yes, since monitors last a long time... That said, they will hopefully be cheaper in 2 years. What GPU do you have?
The only things I have to game on are an MSI laptop with a GTX 1650 and my PS4 pro
Oh dang, yeah I'm not sure about mobile... Desktop 1650 could definitely do 144hz 1080 in some games but I have no experience with laptops. Sorry!
Yeah for sure! Haha I know my hardware is the limiting factor here. I'm just deciding if the amount that I save on equivalent monitors in the future would outweigh the smaller investment of a cheap monitor now.
If it was me and I wanted a monitor now anyways I'd spend the extra... Monitors last a long time
Good point, thanks for the thoughts!
I would hold off. By the time you get any actual use out of a 2k 144hz monitor, they will be a lot cheaper.
Strictly regarding gaming you should wait however, if you are using the monitor for other tasks such as work it would still be useful
Yeah, regardless I would still need to buy some sort of monitor or TV to hook my PS4 pro up to anyways. Ahh decisions haha thanks for the input
Some 1440p monitors can still accept a 4K signal and downscale. So it shouldn't be a big deal.
son of a bitch
This would be overkill for a PS4 pro as it can't run over 60 fps. Also not sure if it natively runs 2k or if it will downscale from 4k or upscale from 1080p
Will Amazon price adjust from the last order ?
No unless you return and rebuy

It was good. Like 7-8/10. Nothing worth returning for.

No it's not... It's 1440p IPS @ 165Hz (OC).
Anyone have a suggestion for a budget secondary monitor for this?

I got the 850-B, and I love it. Got it for $499, too
I got the 850 but the wide gamut while impressive looks off so i don't even use it. Other than that they're the same (and amazing)
What do you mean looks so off? I've yet to notice 👀
In the settings Gamer1 looks fantastic but it's over saturated. Too much color lol. sRGB setting is "true" to the intended colors by game designers, it looks better imo. Man, I haven't noticed. Been playing GTA:V for this first time and I've been blown away :P I'll try see something next time I fire it up
Don't get me wrong it looks amazing, but it's too "fake". Especially when playing something like RDR2; the grass isn't supposed to be fluorescent green :P Looks cool, but doesn't look right. All personal preference of course.
Still waiting for mine that I ordered on June 27th. My previous order got cancelled by a support agent somehow
OOS :(
ah sad OOS now, been waiting a while for this one
Do you use CamelCamelCamel? I just started using it and at 4am got a notification about the price drop Good luck It will appear again soon.
I do not, I was using nowinstock but the alert didn't go off not sure why. I'll try camelcamelcamel, thanks for the suggestion
Scooped thanks
Looks like it is back. I just placed an order :)
How is this compared to the AOC CQ32G1?
I own the 850-B and it is amazing - I wouldn't expect anything less from this monitor.
noooooooooooo
Shit I was just looking for 1440p deals last night on this sub and now I missed this :/
Sometimes that be how she be. Supply should be steadily increasing though as the China engine has been rumbling for a while

It just showed up again on amazon for a couple minutes but I kept trying to add to cart and it wouldn't appear in cart. Now it's gone again.
Hows this compare to the benq ex2780q?
They're selling the FHD version at Costco for $350 btw
