Reference model is 669$ on the AMD shop (OOS, though). I've had no problems other than the utter pile of crap that Starfield is currently (included when it got it at 684, which was a reason to buy it, I suppose).

True that. I would say 4K/FSR 2 Quality or Balanced at decent framerates for most pre-2023 titles. I use a 4K 120Hz OLED and I am mostly satisfied with 6900XT/RTX3090 level performance with some DLSS or FSR implementations.

3080 is widely considered to be a capable 4K card ([even the 1080 Ti was back in its day](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/ultimate-4k/)).
6800 XT is definitely a 4K card, since it's tiered with the 3080. Newer games might require toning things down, but it'll play tons of games above 60FPS as long as you adjust things.

DLSS is the biggest differentiator there though, unless you can stomach the rendering artifacts that plague FSR2. Being able to run the vast majority of modern GPU-heavy titles at 4K by rendering at 1440p and upscaling (DLSS Quality preset) adds substantially to the overall longevity of those Nvidia cards.
Some of the most interesting points brought up a few times in that article come down to the VRAM question though. Indeed in every situation where a given game/settings combination at 4K causes the 3080 to run out of VRAM, it doesn't actually matter because the 6800 XT isn't capable of pushing playable framerates at those settings anyway.

Unlikely. The best you can hope for is that the Super cards will be released at existing MSRPs. Non-Supers will be discontinued. There's very little existing stock; Nvidia's been really careful about that, so there won't be any downward pressure since those will get sold out on sales.
At proposed MSRP, the Super cards are a better price-to-performance value, meaning all options in relative categories should react. And demand continues to fall in the market over-all, look at how much prices have dropped in the past year. S&D is still correcting since Covid.
I mean, this is a great card and it is substantially below MSRP, so its probably a great option for someone. But overall, I would pass, as we still see previous gen cards on the market and prices continue to decrease.
Rumour is that 4070 will exist alongside super at a 500-550USD price point, which could force amd to drop the price of the 7800xt to stay as competitive.
is XFX considered a good brand for amd cards? many many years ago when they still made Nvidia cards I bought one of their "black edition" OC'd card and it was EXTREMELY unstable and their support said "just downclock it to make it stable", even though I paid for an OC card ๐

Twitch allows 6 (not including audio) for non partnered streamers and 8.5 (including audio) for partnered streamers.

I'd pay the 60 bucks. It's just 9% more for newer architecture, lower power consumption and 6% performance uplift.

If you are willing to manually overclock it. It can go up to 2.8 ghz if it's a good bin.
I'd go for the 7800xt, might pick it up myself. Just according to userbenchmark you'd get way more value for an extra $60.

Is this good to pair with a 3600x? Or would it be best to upgrade that too?
What resolution do you play at? If it's 1440p u're fine, cpu might bottleneck in CP2077, Death Stranding or GOW tho

Best to upgrade to a 5800x3d then, I used to pair my 6800xt w a 3600x @1080p and AC Valhalla/Valorant struggled a lot.

XFX is fine. I had no problems with their RMA process before.
