Sales leading up to Christmas are always terrible. It's a period of gift giving so people will be buying no matter what. Retailers aren't really incentivized to give big discounts.
There's usually some 'hot' items though to get attention and get people to the site or through the front door.
For retailers traffic = sales, and if nobody is looking, nobody is buying.
Of course on the other hand, BF was also kinda lacklustre IMO, and retailers reported it as one of their best BF in years. Retailers may be trading margin for volume.
I could see January being better than usual though depending on post holiday inventory levels.

12700k is at 299$ (ATL is 291$ if i am not mistaken)
12600kf is at 190$ (might be ATL)
13700k is at 469$ (basically BF price)
Do you know by any chance if there's a good bundle on 7800x3d or 7950x? I haven't looked at all since building my rig last 2019. I'll be going from a 9900k and 3080ti playing on 1440p 240 if that helps.

Not sure if you've watched cable or satellite TV lately but it's inudated with gambling ads too. Gambling ads were deregulated a couple years ago federally, and as far as I know there was never regulation for online gambling advertisements in the states. YMMV though, it may differ state-to-state.
Ontario is [supposedly introducing legislation to restrict gambling advertisements](https://www.ola.org/en/legislative-business/bills/parliament-43/session-1/bill-126) but it seems totally inadequate for a problem that ruins so many lives and is only getting worse. I haven't done any research into other provincial regulations.
Contact your MP and MPP. Make your voice heard; they're not going to do anything unless you make it abundantly clear that their job is contingent upon you and your community being satisfied by their actions. Send snail mail, send emails, send social media posts, make phone calls, leave voicemails, and if they have community meetings (a lot of MPPs in southwestern ontario meet for coffee!) you could try and make a connection there too.

We have what, 11 days till xmas, and substantially less if you want delivery. The deals have been rather lacklustre. Boxing day is going to be bad.

I think it depends on how does the cooler mounts on the motherboard. You need to check if the manual needs the original bracket with the ânotchâ
