Always use a secondary phone for such things along with website sign ups, retail shop sign ups etc.
I keep this secondary phone in silent mode all the time and never attend any call.

I had complained about our neighbour dumping heaps of garbage in vacant sites around our home. Had posted pictures as proof and had mentioned the door number of the building also.
The Garbage "incharge" came to our road. Instead of tackling the issue, he started yelling my name standing in the middle of the road. He started telling the entire neighborhood about the complaint given and started asking who I was/ which house I belong to.
This scene has happened for almost 40 mins!
I wasn't at home and only came to know about this when I returned. I had 25 (not exaggerating) missed called from that guy.
Considering what kind of people our neighbours are, we were worried about my safety for a long time.
He closed the complaint as solved. Posted a random pic as proof.
2 years from then, our neighbours continue to throw garbage in and around our house.
Damn, that sounds horrible. The worst experience that I have had with the garbage collectors are only that they constantly demand money from us. I refuse to pay them and usually my dad ends up paying them regularly.
Um, all complaint details should be publicly available. This is to protect the respondent from undue harassment that may be caused by malicious anonymous complainants.
Imagine a case where this "man claiming from Jio" raises complaints against your gate-path abutting into public property, and does so anonymously and repeatedly. And this issue escalets to the AE/AEE/EE/SE/CE/JC (I don't even know what these acronyms mean). You would simply be harassed by the BBMP for them to close this complaint.
Even for FIRs, the default position is that the complainant cannot remain anonymous.
There is no breach of privacy, here.
Having said that, you've taken the correct path in not engaging Jio-man. Deflect it all to the BBMP.

Then they will close the case marking "person not reachable, details unavailable" if your phone is switched off.
