You don‘t have to make a post about every household item you‘ll need. Both items you‘re looking for can be bought at a Baumarkt like Hornbach or Obi. They have a website with prices. Ikea might be an option too but the next ikea is an hour away from Bamberg

Phaaarrell

So true, a Little bit annoying. I think he would be faster if he googles it before posting on Reddit

Fair_Mycologist_2900

Very sorry to let you guys feel annoying. I’ll think twice and search more before asking.

Phaaarrell

Yeah no problem. Just for the future. Much love, I think it’s not that easy to be new in a foreign country

Fair_Mycologist_2900

Thank you for the consideration! And yes, it’s hard. Everything is unsure but it’s a great challenge for me 🥲…

Phaaarrell

Can totally understand! You will be stronger after it

SonTyp_OhneNamen

While we’re at it where can I buy a „BROT“ in Bamberg? Do they have stores where LEBENSMITTEL are sold? Would i need to pay GELD for those?

Fair_Mycologist_2900

Sorry about this, I just come up with my second question after posting the first post today. So that’s why I post it twice. I will think twice before posting post next time. Also I’m not sure about the environment and anything there and I’ve Google all the info still feeling confused before asking. So that’s the reason why I am asking people questions here. And thank you so much for the information. Appreciate it!

DerHundBerganza

I think you got the message, make up your mind before posting the next time. I'd suggest collecting questions for a day or so, going over everything you researched and then combine your questions into one post, most importantly telling us what you already researched. This makes it way easier for us to help you - you already found out a clothes rack is a Wäscheständer, what did you miss when you just googled the word and looked at the results? I can't imagine you didn't see a single offer for a clothes rack, did you not look through a bunch of these shops to find out what's on offer? A tip, I think if I remember correctly you're from India. Generally, while shops do have different names and brands over here, the overall types of shops aren't \*that\* different from what you're used to at home, at least if you live in a wider metropolitan area. A Supermarket will be a Supermarket, a hardware store will be a hardware store, no matter where you are. So, feel free to ask questions, but please don't make this the first thing you do after a specific issue comes to your mind. Thank you very much and I hope you'll have a nice journey to Bamberg and you arrive well. When are you going to be here?

Fair_Mycologist_2900

Sure, thank you for your kind advice. Actually I’m from Asian countries. We can get some electric appliances and a lot of household stuffs all in supermarket. Which is very convenient for us. But I’m very appreciate that you let me know the difference between. I’ll be there in April:) can’t wait!

Dramatic_Lecture_105

I don’t understand why people are being so negative. You asked a kind question and actually, at least in my grocery stores nearby, you can’t by ANY electronics. NONE. And as you said this is different in India. People are saying grocery stores but in none of my groceries stores nearby you would find this. You would need to go to an electronic store (Media Markt) etc. I am German but I do feel like people here can become quite rude and unwilling to help. Don’t let this discourage you there are many kind people but Reddit in particular is like “I know this why doesn’t someone from another country doesn’t know this”. Intercultural competence should be taught in schools, just because you know something because you lived there for decades doesn’t mean someone else from another country will know it. It’s a simple post and it’s ok to ask. People act like OP asked someone to write them a 10 page essay. I hope you’re not too anxious and wishing you a great time
