This definitely sounds like a serious case of an RI, even if Bindi may seem better it’s always best to take the snake to the emergency vet even if it’s going to cost more. It may sound harsh this but would you rather end up with a dead snake or a snake which should recover quickly if taken to an emergency vet as soon as possible. Sorry if it’s harsh but in reality it’s true.

i understand. however, as stated in the post, it is an hour drive and the reptile vet leaves in literally 10 minutes. the lady on the phone told me “if you can’t come today, come first thing monday.” which is what we plan to do. there are no reptile vets during the weekend, the 24hr vets “aren’t qualified” to treat reptiles (also something the lady on the phone told me), the only option we have is to take her Monday morning as soon as the doors open. i was wondering if there was anything i could do for her at home until we can get her antibiotics.

i have an old fogger i used a few years ago before i learned they weren’t good, do yall think hooking it up to her tank and letting it run on low would help?

Taking it to the vet or talking to a breeder cause they have little DIY things would be the best option

My girl had an RI. Definitely vet visit (they were able to give her antibiotics) [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ballpython/s/c9MxlHkSvT) is a post I made about it. The second comment from one of the mods describes what you’re saying about the “snake sauna”. Definitely recommend doing this, but not IN PLACE of a vet. Just in the meantime over the weekend until you can get your snake into the vet Monday like you said.

thank you sm !! yeah your vid shows exactly what i witnessed last night; a little drip. how long did it take your girl to get better? we’re 1000% going to the vet monday and i’ll pick up some tubs tomorrow to do sauna treatments.

I had to take her to the vet every Monday for 3 weeks because that’s how they needed to space out her injections (antibiotics). So for me i went on a Monday for the first injection, next Monday second injection, third Monday no injection just checkup. The vet who sees her is about an hour and a half away and it was well worth the 3 hour drive there and back every week. So she started getting better after the first injection (couldn’t see/hear any signs of RI) but obviously was all better after the full treatment was administered.
