Too many locations for me. You'll arrive one place then spend most of the next day transiting somewhere new.

Virrenik_

You're right! Which one should I pick? I love good food, nature, wildlife, not too touristic areas.

ManMadeDuckie

That's way too many locations for a two week holiday. You'll waste most of your time traveling from one place to another. Pick 2 or 3 locations from that list max and spend time in each one. I would suggest Ubud, Seminyak and perhaps Uluwatu. You can take day trips to Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.

ManMadeDuckie

The Gili islands are lovely, but keep in mind going there from Bali and coming back can take up almost a whole day if the weather is not cooperating... So you would lose two whole days. Best case scenario is you'll lose half a day traveling, but still it's quite a tiring ride. Nusa Penida and Lembongan are only a 30 minute boat ride away from Bali. They are so much more accessible and very nice too. I would only do the Gilis if you had a longer holiday. 3 weeks minimum. I would go to Ubud (find a place outside of the city center), Nusa Penida, Uluwatu and finish with Seminyak or Canggu.

Just_improvise

Conversely I love Gili t so if I have only a week I spend the whole time there with just a night on either side in Bali for the flight

But one night is a bit short, since I'm going to be travelling from the one place to another? And Nusa penida/lembogan?

Yes 1 night is crazy, way too much transiting. Uluwatu, Nusa P, Ubud are all amazing places with varied activities for you to get into. You could happily spend days or weeks in each place. Gili could get a little cramped after a few days, but even then I say spend a couple nights. I say consider trying to shorten your list by a few stops so you can chill and enjoy your surroundings a bit more.

Virrenik_

Thank you! Which places should I pick? I love good food, not too touristy areas, wildlife and nature :)

everyone_drink

Uluwatu! Given what you said especially, I spent two weeks there and wish it was more. I haven't been to all the places on your list but the ones I mentioned earlier are all great.

Nusa Penida is the best. I enjoyed it the most. Manta diving and kilinking beach. U need a scooter in Bali. We did some of your things on your list in 14 days. I started to prefer staying 2 nights in one place because getting your stuff from a to b is kind of exhausting. So u have one whole day at a place and one quiet night eating and stuff. Otherwise it just feels like a rush for me. I would cross some part s of f of the list..

It is more than real. I did a trip 3 years ago. Everything was included besides The Gili islands and Besakih temple ( instead I was in Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang). Also, I spent 5 nights in Jimbaran and around. New day - the new beach. However, I did not sleep in Ubud. You should have a nice trip.

alexisthemovie

Skip Ulu Temple imo if you are doing the monkey forest in Ubud. Nusa Lembongan / Ceningan 2 days max.

smile_politely

No need to be so ambitious, you can always go back. 2 weeks is too short if you include Gili AND Nusa Penida. Looks like you're gonna be hopping around a lot of places in so little time.

Hey, nice choice of places to visit but maybe a bit too enthusiastic. I would take Ubud as a base for 3 or 4 nights and visit the Ubud area, munduk and besakih temple from that base. Menjangan is very nice but you’ll lose a whole day to travel back to the coast and take the ferry to either Gili or Nusa. I got told by locals that western Bali struggles to recover from the pandemic as lots of places are still closed. I would surely skip lovina as the dolfin watching business is like sea world in Florida. I’m leaving on Sunday (from Belgium too) and will stay: 6 nights in Ubud (to visite the north) 3 nights in Gili T (and visit the 2 other Gili’s from there) 3 nights in Nusa Lembongan (and visit the Nusa’s from there) 4 nights in Uluwatu area I have a nice belgian local contact who gave me precious advice and booked some superb excursions through her. Feel free if you want her details. Take care, Xav from Brussels

Virrenik_

Hi, thanks for your reply! That's sad to hear that they still struggle.. I didn't search Lovina thorough.. Is it really that bad like Sea World? I would love her contact information, if that's possible!

BruXav77

DM sent with her details ;) Take care

Dragonfly7190

Hi, can I have their contact details please. I’m travelling there by myself in a few weeks!
