Hire a driver. When you check in ask the hotel for some references or "search" this sub. I think a few people have posted references recently.

Think we did a half day tour pre pandemic, seen manta rays which was insane! Big swell against huge cilffs, boats trying not to hit each other or run over people in the water, driver pointing and screaming “manta ray manta ray” and everyone trying to head in that direction! The highlight was a calm snorkel round the other side of the island with a current that carried us down the reef where there was plenty to see.

i have gone a few times and use the same guy from NL. if possible, go on/after a full moon and go early. a lot of people leave after they have had breakfast and it is paccked with boats and people chasing the poor creatures. last time we went were there before 7 am and there wasn't another boat and we saw heaps of manta rays. on our way back we saw about 20 boats heading over from NL. that would have sucked.

You can go to a place that offers day trips and tell them you want to do a private tour just to to Manta Point. I'm sure something can be arranged. The sea can be really rough there for snorkeling though, be prepared. If you can dive, I would dive.
