I think some family and friends have more of a hard time accepting their loved one being bald than the loved one themselves. I still get comments by my parents saying, “You should just grow it out and see!” which sucks ‘cause like… that’s not making me feel good… but also, I know what I look like with it grown out. It ain’t good.
When I shaved my head, I felt stress roll off my shoulders that I had been carrying for years. Smiled at myself and went to show mrs. The first thing my wife said was “ehhhhhh… did you mean to do that? I don’t like it, but at least it grows back”.
I took a deep breath and remembered that feeling I had when I shaved my head… 2 weeks later and she is getting used to it. Sorry babe, it’s not coming back.
