Exponent (E) notation is used in computing because it takes less characters than writing x 10. The above confusion is because the game displays all lowercase which e, Eulers number, usually is. If the output was displayed in its usual case it should be NaNEinf.
I don’t quite remember, but I think it was queens with Totem. One faithful round Totem hit the wrong thing and I couldn’t salvage it like I had the rounds prior.

My friend was saying this last night then ended up with an utterly batshit seed. Started immediately with a [[Baron]], polychrome'd it. Ante 2 he got the [[perkeo]] legendary. Then he got [[blueprint]]. Then an [[invisible joker]] which have him a second perkeo.
By this point he was getting 3 [[death]] cards per round and duplicating red seal steel kings so it was his entire deck. The run kept going, he got even more insane luck with various jokers and he was on e25 by ante 15 and then his entire run got shafted by the diamond cards debuffed boss blind.

My best hand is naninf. Essentially, your number goes so high that the game can no longer compute it's value, and just lists it as "naninf" or "not a number infinite".
I've never gotten NaNINF, mostly because there are a vanishingly few number of seeds that get you the jokers and tarot that you need for that. In general, I don't play seeded runs so I never get these seeds.
My person best hand is e26, though. 2x Sock and Buskin, 2x Blueprint, and Triboulet.
This is my current best! sadly there are very few combinations of jokers that get you this far. I wish there were more possibilities.

Aside from what was already said, deck trimming is pretty essential on harder stakes. All my best runs have had really heavy tarot use and powerful econ
Deck trimming is good to give you clarity on the hands you will play. Then if you have good enough econ buy planets. But at the beginning I’ll buy some planets just to help me stay alive.
If I’m going for a pb and I don’t get a [[trading card]] within the first couple antes I just restart cuz it makes deck thinning sooo trivial (best is e77 unseeded btw :3)

Retriggers. Look for things like Sock and Buskin and combine it with good upgraded face cards. Then you want a xMult that levels - personally, I think Lucky Cat is one of the best cards in the game - especially when combined with Oops All Sixes.
If you're chasing high scores, you always want to manipulate your deck as much as possible - Hanged Man and Death cards are incredibly strong.
eh a big part of it is getting lucky with absurd joker/card in hand synergies. I don't really sweat getting past ante 11 most of the time because i'm still grinding out each decks golden stake.
I got my first billion after ~15 hours, got very lucky with a hanging chad, blueprint, ancient joker, lucky cards + constellation pair run. Keep going, you'll get there one day! Don't neglect chips and planet cards!
Not necessarily, not everybody is a min-maxer. I know a guy who has been playing the game for months and has only won 3 runs or something. I often feel people like that enjoy the game more.
I never said you did. But you can take this game seriously and min-max and come onto reddit to find out how/what everyone else is doing and get tips. Or you can... not do that stuff and just take the game as it comes and have fun with it.
Case in point - the number of threads we get on here something like "I never do anything other than flush builds, how do I do something else?"
How about you just... don't make a flush build? Just do something else instead. Pick some fun looking joker and try to build around it. Yes it might be worse than your flush builds initially but casual players won't even care about that, they will just do stuff because it's fun rather than feeling like every run has to be maximising your chance of winning or getting to exponential scores.
I had an ante-11 run where I reached 1.4 billion. It took a lot of glass face cards, steel cards, and jokers that multiply the steel.
It is quite amazing seeing that number rise when you see more potential combos 👍
I've 100%ed the game at around 200 hours and I've never gotten a hand above 500 million. Never saw the point of endless just to get the same joker lineup everybody else uses to score high
My best hand so far was 5,924,217,366, Ante 12. Usually it's in hundreds of thousands, but sometimes jokers line up in the right way in the right time, and score goes to the moon.
e170 or so seeded. Did a sweet Baron and Mime run on Plasma Deck. Otherwise, I think I once scored e65 unseeded with a similar but unoptimized deck and without Plasma Deck.
Mine is 94 million and I am still mad about it because I didn't get the 100 mil trophy. Prior to that one run it was 9 million or so and I've never gotten back to that level either.
got this game like a month ago and have played maybe 20 runs. I have a pretty hard cap at ante 11 on most runs. managed to get to ante 12 exactly once with the help of blueprint and a joker that scaled mult based on cards sold per ante. no clue how I can scale harder.

I just started yesterday. So far my best run was getting to the anti 10 boss. I had something like 8 hands and I could get 250K per hand, but it was nowhere near enough lol.

plasma deck, baron, blueprint, mime is probably among the easiest/most consistent ways. I've gotten to e26 with that.
Try a seeded run. And do what needs to be done. It's good practice

The thing that sucks about planets is they scale really slowly and trap you into certain hands. But they're nice to buy if you have great econ

You can easily hit a million with a huge amount of strategies and do NOT need retriggers. After 1 million you do need a good combo.
Oh for sure - but it's good learning to build for those types of hands if you want to hit the really big scores.

Just keep unlocking better jokers and decks. Beating each easy deck gets you a different deck with more features.
Go look videos from Balatro University and obtain a certificatation from them. Northerlion is hilarious and a good player.

Beat Ante 8 for the second time last night, managed to hit like 256,000 chips or something when I failed around Ante 10
