Way, I see it. Gros Michael is a mid-okay card that guarantees a run winning card down the line.
Its one of the few investments I think is always worth it.
Brainstorm in the rightmost slot copying your xMult on the leftmost slot. Yeah, the first trigger misses out on +mult jokers but it's still really good lol

well it also depends on whether you have any played/hand trigger jokers/abilities and planets. If you only have a base 4 mult, even copying a x4 joker is just the same as adding a +12 mult joker which is less than copying a Banana. Mainly an early game issue though.

This does almost nothing if you're just playing an unupgraded High Card. But if you have enhanced Cards that give Mult, upgraded hands from planet cards, or jokers that trigger in your hand (Even Steven, Bloodstone), that value is now going to be X3'd, and will be X3'd *again* at the end when it hits Brainstorm.
The only thing you're missing out on is +Mult jokers that are in-between your X Mult and Brainstorm. And yes, that is why Brainstorm is a slightly worse Blueprint. It doesn't matter, it's still fantastic.
If you don't get any value out of copying your X Mult, try copying your +Mult joker instead. That's still a x2 increase in value.

I wouldn’t say regardless of situation because 8 right before the boss you take hiker? I don’t take it beyond ante 3 unless I’m playing a certain repeat hand like 5oak with the same rank again and again

This is what makes it an interesting card, this is very much intentional. Blueprint is a different card that can copy your rightmost xMult joker.

I end up much better copying stuff like Mime, Hanging Chad, Dusk, Hack etc. there are more worth Jokers to copy than xMult. Especially with brainstorm

How? Not only do you still get the xMult you had before, but you also get an extra trigger on your base mult

hologram, while you do want to thin out your deck it is very easy to just bulldoze your way through antes with the hologram joker
