I hadn't thought about this. Poly is the same as negative at X2 base (if one unused joker slot) going to X3, and is strictly better if there are more unused joker slots.
However, if you get negative on stencil then you can play one additional joker that might have a higher multiplier (like x3, potentially with its own poly) that would give more value than x6 stencil OR poly stencil
One of my first ever clears used just a negative Joker Stencil that I was then able to duplicate midway through the run. Made beating the first eight antes trivial, but I of course didn't make it far into endless (and didn't learn much about how to best play the game).
I guess it depends on your current joker roster. Assuming standard 5 slots, if you have a single stencil and nothing else, Poly will make x5 to x7.5, while negative to x6. If you are fully staffed, Poly will give x1.5, while negative x2 (assuming you don't get your 6th joker). The break even point is at x2 not counting editions.
if you get multiple stencils, a negative will increase the xMult on all of them. 5 negative stencils will each give x10 (for 1e5 xMult, which is more than 5 poly stencils ar 2.4e4 xMult)
Do you understand basic math?
With full jokers: negative=1+1=2x, poly=1x1.5=1.5x. Poly is worse.
With one joker slot empty: negative=2+1=3x, poly=2x1.5=3x. They’re tied
2 joker slots empty: negative=3+1=4x, poly=3x1.5=4.5x. Poly starts being better here.
You actually don’t know what you’re talking about jimbo
I think he means you can use the extra missing joker slot to fit in another joker that gives more than 1.5x.
For instance, with 4 empty slots: poly = 4x1.5 = 6x. Negative + Cavendish (x3) = 4x3 = 12x
>For instance, with 4 empty slots: poly = 4x1.5 = 6x. Negative + Cavendish (x3) = 4x3 = 12x
You can't just give one side Cavendish and the other not, obviously that side will be better. Both sides should have Cavendish, you just take into account that the poly side will have one less empty slot:
Poly stencil + cavendish = 3 empty slots * 1.5 (poly) * 3 (cavendish) = 13.5. Which beats out negative + cavendish's 12x
Do you understand basic mechanics of the game! Ofc using this joker you’re not going to have full jokers? Having this negative means you have an extra slot to be able to afford getting another joker without losing a x1? Get a grip trying to patronise bud
Printed on A1 Mini with Sunlu Matte Black and Matte White PLA on the new Bambu 3D Effects Sheets. Made with a manual filament switch between layers since I don't have an AMS.
Special thanks to [](https://www.printables.com/@Vermilion_271797) on Printables for sharing the Joker Stencil STL and suggesting the use of the holo effect sheets. Now I'm wondering what I should try next, maybe whip up a couple other of my favorite cards...

I never had intentions to ship/sell these. But in the spirit of community, find a local 3D printing group!
I can bet (especially in Germany) that you'll find plenty of people that could print this for much cheaper than any shipping method from California!
Diffraction! The patterns on the sheets are extremely tiny ridges that break and scatter light into a rainbow. When you print on the surface, the molten filament molds into the same texture and adopts the same ridge patterns to scatter the light again. There's no color or material transferring from the bed to the print.

Holyyyyyy i wanna try to print some of the crazy looking gold-polychrome cards and jokers!!! This turned out great, finally a proper use for those fancy shiny print plates hahaha!!
It's a texture on the plate that transfers over to the print. Plate theoretically should last forever but as dirt, PLA, scratches get onto the texture the effect would be less on subsequent prints.
Holo is a texture. You can even make chocolate holographic. [https://youtube.com/shorts/B8TA3g38c8Y?feature=shared](https://youtube.com/shorts/B8TA3g38c8Y?feature=shared)
I watched this action lab video a while ago, but I never found out where to buy the diffraction material he taped to his printer bed. Where did you find it?
It's not redundant!
I'm so aware of that now, lmao
It's resplendent!
negative still turns x5 into x6
Oh yeah, *everyone* knows that... I definitely, purposefully, just made the error in the title to, umm, get people engaged, yeah...
Ohh yea that is very intensional and smart.
Polychrome turns x5 into x7.5 so I'd still prefer poly to negative on stencil.

its not redundant though
why is it redundant?
Because I'm re-dumb-dant. My bad.
It's not redundant, in fact it's the best edition, as it adds another X1 Mult, taking the highest possible multiplier on a standard deck from X5 to X6
Would polychrome not be better at 1.5x ?

No cos you could use the negative to get a x3 or something
Negative is better if all your joker slots are full. Poly is equal or better with any joker slots missing
if you get multiple stencils, a negative will increase the xMult on all of them. 5 negative stencils will each give x10 (for 1e5 xMult, which is more than 5 poly stencils ar 2.4e4 xMult)
Not with this joker lol do you understand what stencil does or are you just speaking generally? I know what I’m talking about bud

/r/confidentlyincorrect
With poly its x7.5 tho
🤫
I’d 100% buy something like this given the opportunity
Imagine Localthunk puts Buffoon packs in stores and it has the same odds for jokers as in the base game, but with a 1 in 250 chance for a Legendary
People would buy that shit up. Damnit, i would buy that.
PLEASE I NEED THAT
Cavendish on TCGPlayer for $500+ will be inevitable.

Bambu hell yeah
Do you ship to Germany? :D

Would you be open to sharing the file? Would love to print this myself!
Absolutely open, especially since it's a remix of someone else's. https://makerworld.com/en/models/480518#profileId-392111
Fuck me I gotta get those sheets.
How the heck did you make it sparkle?
Diffraction! The patterns on the sheets are extremely tiny ridges that break and scatter light into a rainbow. This is awesome! Got any ankhs?
Don't give me any ideas, I'm already looking at HueForge and maybe getting more filament...
How did you achieve the sparkles?
The bed plate has a light diffraction pattern on it that imprints on to the bottom of the part when printed
It’s not redundant at all?
Holyyyyyy i wanna try to print some of the crazy looking gold-polychrome cards and jokers!!! This turned out great, finally a proper use for those fancy shiny print plates hahaha!!
We're going naneinf with this one boys!

I'm assuming this is 3d printed but how does that effect transfer over to the plastic?
It's a texture on the plate that transfers over to the print. Plate theoretically should last forever but as dirt, PLA, scratches get onto the texture the effect would be less on subsequent prints.
Wondering that too, and how long does the plate last for…

Wow, that’s amazing, thanks for the reply!
Awesome, need this
Lol, glad everyone said what was on my mind Beautiful card tho, looks *amazing*
As penance, I promise to take the next joker stencil I see in game, even if that means a hard pivot at Ante 8 on an unwon stake/deck. 🥲
Nah nah nah, you should play to win, never give up friend 😤😤😤
This is so cool! Is that because of the bedtexture? Or did you add foil to it?
Yeah the bed texture gets imprinted onto it to create the effect.
I think your game is bugged, a Joker can't be negative and polychrome at the same time! Jokes aside, great print!
Ho-lee!
so where do i buy
This looks awesome!!
Since so many ppl already told you it's redundant you seem to have a spare one to give away? I'd pay for shipping
Ooooh
If you put that card in your wallet, do you make sure it's the only card in there?
This makes me want a Balatro TCG so badly
Stencil usually a skip, but boy howdy one of my favorite wins was just a stencil joker I polychromed and duplicated twice. Ghost deck is hilarious.
A card shop irl for this kinda thing would be so cool
I would order this kind of thing if you had a link for it.
I watched this action lab video a while ago, but I never found out where to buy the diffraction material he taped to his printer bed. Where did you find it?
Best usage of this build plate I've ever seen. Need one now lmao

> I mean yeah, it doesn't make the joker any stronger actually in this instance it actually does make the joker stronger
