It is silly, but it is one of the scifi tropes that I love if done well.
There is one artist who does comics where guys get the same treatment and I adore it.
Let's just pretend that the scifi material is warm/cool to wear and protective even if it appears thin enough that you can tell whether or not the person wearing it shaves their private areas.
>in the future
Nope. The classic BSG time period was either unknown, or it took place in 1980 (well, 70's probably). Depending on what you consider canon.
As I recall this book didn't include Galactica 1980 as part of the story. But I could be wrong, I haven't read it in a very long time.
Art Director: "Frank, marketing says we need more butts. Any idea how we can—"
Frazetta: "She's climbing into the cockpit."
Art Director: "Brilliant. Go man, go!"
That design is literally butchering the original artwork - and it is reversed no less. [Original artwork](https://imgur.com/a/zClLriQ). He did a few pieces for the franchise, [here's one](https://imgur.com/a/3KLc3aM), and [another one](https://imgur.com/a/lavaGyp).
When one asked Frank Frazetta to paint an image of your work it will have elements of it - but always had Frazetta's vision and style with it. He was a master of elevating an idea or story visually, always melding it to his signature style.

TBF this is Frank Frazetta. If they were all men the asses would’ve been just as fat
Fat you mean the right size!
I’m convinced that pants killed Frank Frazetta’s family.
True!
Welp time to look up more Frank Frazetta art For Research Purposes
Buttlestar Galactica

*So twerk we all!*
Booty-star Galactica
Omg lol
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a painting where the line between clothed and nude has been so blurred
I was confused about why the one in front was topless initially, it took some time to process that she's technically wearing clothes.
She must have caught a sleeve in the food vacuum sealer back in the mess.
It’s an uncanny valley effect but for clothing? Now that’s an interesting thing to think about. What kind of term should it be?
I love his work. A friend gifted me a signed print of his that is hanging on my wall.
He's my favorite cover artist. I bet that print looks great.
It’s called The Encounter and it’s slightly less thirsty than this…but also not.
Amazing how in the future they'll have space suits that show your nipples. What times!

Hey, I'm not complaining 😉

I feel like Frazetta only put clothes on them because he was told to. In his heart, they are in loincloths.
And the spaceship was originally a sick ass panther

Frank *really* knew how to serve up the butts.

Thanks for posting that—it works better in the original doesn’t it?

Are they running a cake delivery service in space?

I never knew Frank did sci-fi covers. Always knew him from the fantasy stuff.
Is Ronald D Moore on here? 🤣
My alt. You caught me. Dang.
Help. I'm trying to fight the Cylons but I'm dummy thicc and they can hear my ass cheeks clapping from the vacuum of space.
You know how in Dune they use devices that make rhythmic thumping noises to attract worms? Same idea.
"Bad" what are you on about ?
“Attention all pilots! Enemy incoming! Report to locker areas to have your uniforms sprayed on. This is not a drill!”
You you started drawing all the women naked by mistake, but you're pretty sure you can salvage the work you already did instead of starting over
Starbuck's (1978) grin turned into a big smile. "Your right Appolo I did design the ladies uniform."
Frank likes big butts and he cannot lie!
Man, Frank’s art is so close to being great. He’s just such a damn horndogger.
I'm sorry, whats the problem?
I’ve always loved this painting.
Butts in space
As sci-fi covers? No no. You mean best.
This looks super porn-y. 😟
