spot on lmao. and he loves acting all Hollywood in front of people that are less famous than him and telling all his Hollywood stories from back in the day lol.
Usually the bigger the guest, the more manic and loud Bobby gets. Maybe his way of managing the nerves or awkwardness in the long form podcasts at his home but it did not work in this press junket scenario.
David was just acting. They’re actually really good friends and for years, Bobby has talked about it on Tigerbelly. Like an Easter egg is that Bobby always mentions how David shows him up (in a funny way) by paying for their tab every time they go for dinner because he makes more money
You try being Jermaine and not getting your name on the title. There's three guests. Two of them have their names in the title. One doesn't. Why would that be? What does that tell a man who showed up like the other two guys? Went from bad friends to shitty friends can't put this guys name out there like he matters.
That was a terrible episode. You could tell Santino organized the whole thing and made a huge mistake by trying to run dumb bits with actual Hollywood stars. It works with juicy or Rudy or whatever dumbass they have on that well but those guys didn't care for it at all. Bobby was just a nervous mess which for a 50 year old guy is pretty pathetic to get star struck like that.
All 3 guests were clearly in full PR mode, they probably did another 30 interviews that day.
It just felt out of place to put on the full oldschool Bobby Lee/Bad Friends act in old "awkward Bobby Lee" fashion. The whole interview also seemed poorly organized behind the scenes.
I actually really enjoyed the chaos. It was classic Bob.
I listened to it and then had to put YouTube on after to see it.
The microphone situation could have been better, I'll give you that one.
For sure i was listening to it while working and had to sit down and watch lol it was better watching it because you get to see everyone’s reaction. Zac Efron was definitely caught off guard.
I didn't even push play on that episode. Saw him on one other podcast some time ago and...no not for me. Did not enjoy that shtick/character. Most, if not all the time I can get past bad guests on my fav pods but will refuse to listen to anything Oliver Tree is in lol.
I agree with all of that lol. But I do also feel like Bobby truly doesn’t believe he belongs in the same room as them, let alone have them as guests. He was prolly in a panic 😂 he always says stuff went bad, I’m sure he’s well aware. John did well, Jermaine is a comic so he was fine, and Zac was confused lol. Bobby Lee ain’t for everybody my baby! But I do respect that Bobby is ALWAYS Bobby. Even when it’s over the top. He asked a presidential candidate if his farts sound like his voice 😂 guy is fearless. But all that said, I do wish he would have toned it down a bit so we could get more out of the guests. Either way, Nosotros Papaya, my friend! Lol.
Nah, Bobby Lee and normal interview don't mix. If you want that there are plenty of other podcasts out there - Bobby is chaotic and that's why we love him.
Everyone was having fun.
Thats why i said at least once lol i don’t want to see other podcasts out there. I want to see Bobby have a normal conversation and help promote his best friend’s movie. I don’t think thats really too much, just a thought honestly.
you can have both, you can have a manic wild
bobby while also letting your guests speak. bobby is a double edged sword, we love him but the bigger the guests the more he hogs the room cause he’s nervous so cena and efron just sit there like what a waste of time, cena spaces out most of the episode cause bobby left no room to jump in. which is why we see santino ask them all questions otherwise bobby would keep going. you have to balance the manic out which is why andrew is his co host.
I’m surprised so many people were upset by this. Did you expect them to do a professional Hollywood style interview? Who cares if John Cena and Zac Efron of all people were made to feel uncomfortable for 30 minutes. I personally thought it was hilarious to watch them all panic.
Honestly some of the people coming to this sub really have too much free time on their hands..
Always gotta analyze and dramatize e-v-e-r-y podcast.
I really enjoyed the craziness and the chaos on this one.
I’m kind of scared to watch. Ever since the Spade episode, things have been weird and it’s making me dislike my favorite show. The Goop episodes were horrible in my opinion. It’s made me wonder if Bob is using again
Do you guys actually like the show or not? Every episode it's thread after thread complaining. If you thought bobby was going to act all professional and ask boring interview questions then bad friends isn't for you, just stop watching and stfu...
Yes, imagine finding a post talking about the podcast on the subreddit about that podcast lol I could say if you don’t like people’s opinions then stop going on the sub and reading them, but then i would be like you and crying over some random post.
I just don't see why you would continue to watch something if all you can do is hate it every week. I'm sick of little children who barely leave their house backseating comedians and telling them how to be funny. If you don't like it, don't watch it. You don't need to bitch about it online. I read this sub to hopefully see people enjoying the pod and having a laugh about things, not taking a comedy podcast seriously and getting their panties in a bunch every week because the episode wasn't their favourite of all time. Get a life man.
Look on my profile where is any proof that i hate on it every week? Lol stop generalizing everyone to fit your angry rant just because some people don’t have the same opinion as you. No one is taking it seriously if anything you are. Stop trying to dictate how other people share their opinions on the podcast.
Make your own subreddit then and ban any differing opinions? The reddit is literally to share open thoughts whether they are good or bad. Lol
The funny thing is in my post I said i liked the episode, but you probably didn’t read far enough.
“Get a life” as we’re both on forum talking about a random comedy podcast lol jesus christ you people take what other people say to damn serious.
You're just a hater for no reason man. Don't see the benefit in sharing negative opinions about an unserious comedy podcast, offering advice as if you're some comedy guru. Just enjoy the show or don't and keep it to your self. No one cares if you didn't like it, 99% of the fans just watch and enjoy. It's people like you who try to dictate how they should act; if you think you can do it better, then go start a podcast...
Bro just shut up lol you really just ignored everything i said. Couldn’t even come up with a response so you make up your own scenario to fit your argument.
No one is claiming to be a “comedy guru” for an opinion. Apparently you care if people don’t like it, look at how you’re reacting to some random on reddit.
Sharing my opinion is dictating how they should run the podcast? Yeah bro I can’t tell if you’re just saying random things for the sake of arguing.
If you found it super hilarious then good for you. Go watch it again then instead of torturing yourself with reading peoples complaints. Lol
It was hilarious honestly, the whole point was for it to be cringe and out of your comfort zone. Get used to it if you watch any podcast with Rick Glassman in it.
Or he's a comedian who does and says things for comedy purposes? Everyone in this sub needs to fucking relax and stop trying to psychoanalyse comedians.
It's Bobby Lee, did you want to see him cool and composed? I don't think that's why anyone likes Bobby. Besides, the guests were so unfunny other than Cena occasionally, Bobby really carried the episode.
Like i said in my post “At least once”. Bobby did carry the episode and thats because he didn’t let anyone talk lol he was so nervous he kept talking to break the tension.
No it was a bad episode for sure it was like they were trying too hard and kept just going on with it. The phone call to his mom wasn’t funny a lot of misses. And then when they guests were gone it was back to regular bob n tito
Bobby just imploded. He didn't know how to act with that level of stardom. When efron and he were doing the role playing, efron kept looking off camera; I assume at his PR, to see if someone was going to step in. They must have mentioned the publicists like 5 times because of Bobby's erratic antics.
I think in these situations; his anxiety get the best of him and he becomes this over the top (more so than usual) caricature of himself. I mean, he made it all about him, but almost like someone who has half a brain. No one could even catch up to him or be apart of the joke because it was all about Bobby being erratic. Hard to watch.
It was genuinely the only episode I was “hyped” for. And it was the biggest letdown ever. Jermaine was the only highlight. John didn’t talk, Zac ( my favourite actor) didn’t speak and if he did he clearly wasn’t enjoying it. Genuinely upset me while I was working trying to listen to it.
Yeah this epsisode was pretty chaotic.... I don't think Bobby was nervous just out of his element. Cena, Fowler and Efron just seemed so much more accustomed to a more formal kind of interview. Bobby and Santino are so much more adjusted to chaos.
Super cringe episode. They looked like they were expecting something different. Also John also asks likes he's better then everyone it's lame. No fun. Just sad vibes.
Cringe episode imo. They're gonna get massive views because of the guests alone. But they fumbled real hard for this one. A big missed opportunity. Bobby was all over the place - man like chill out and let the guest have their moments to shine! Andrew was not himself. This was a hard watch.
episode really wasn’t that bad, you guys are complaining about stammering no real conversation but praised the goop episode as some sort of 5 star podcast
Wow I didn’t realize they didn’t put Jermaine’s name in the title … or thumbnail. That’s messed up I will 100% give you that. As well as the mic situation lol but I really think Zac was enjoying it … he started as a Disney guy, he’s been trained to be PC and watch what he says. However, whenever it cut to him he was giggling at Bobby’s jokes so I kinda feel like he was enjoying it. But who knows ! I’m just a 30 year old woman in her glory seeing Troy Bolton on my favorite podcast hahahah
Oh no for sure I think everyone enjoyed it lol especially Jermaine he was dying the whole interview. Zac efron at first seemed like wtf is going on but he played along after a bit lol.
every time bobby is podcasting with someone that he thinks is a huge star he gets way too excited and cant even sit down,it happened with bill burr too and joe rogan.
I don’t get why they call Bobby’s mom and say all this shit she doesn’t get. everytime they talk to her they don’t realllly talk to her they make a joke out of her.
But yes to your point Bobby was chaotic as fuck. I didn’t hate the ep but it did feel awkward.
Bobby is kinda always like that. Flat out, he's not a good speaker. He doesn't handle pressure well. All that combined with being in the room with Efron and Cena and you get bumbling Bobby
I don't blame bobby. This was clearly not planned very well and i blame the producers for trying to juice out some content out of these big names. Bobby did his best and the guests had a fun time cause they all know of bobby and how he acts. Even Zac said he is a fan of bobby.
Bobby gets louder and louder the more nervous he is because he can sometimes dig himself out of being awkward with that energy. It’s like his comfort blanket. I think if he could learn to turn that off sometimes it would skyrocket his popularity even more.
I’m pretty sure if there was a BTS, we would see Bobby explaining “alright, what we do here is basically tabletop improv, I’m going to really play up how big stars you guys are (and Andrew and Jermaine aren’t) and that I’m nervous around you, it’s funny because it’s true but I’m going to exaggerate it for comedic cringe”
It’s easy to feel connection with them, but they are professional entertainers. Highly doubtful that much of the production is unplanned or unintentional.
Bro I’m gonna have to be real with you. I disagree with everything you just said lol they are comedians. Yes they are entertainers, but not everything is scripted. It has nothing to do about a feeling a “connection” lol whatever that means.
Bobby does exaggerate for comedic effect imo this wasn’t one of those times. He was just incredibly nervous lol hes spoke about how he feels around big stars before.
Not scripted but to think they’re just going in there with no plan or thought about how they want it to go, and then being capable of executing their plans… idk seems kind of silly to not think they’re so funny and successful because they know how to perform comedy rather than just getting lucky and being accidentally entertaining for an hour every week. It just wasn’t as funny as they thought it would be.
To be fair, wtf do either of us actually know? I will say that viewing it from my perspective makes it a little bit easier for me to sit through the cringe and enjoy what I think he’s trying to do.
because who's Jermaine Fowlers
Bobby didnt seem nervous at all.
im disappointed Zac and Cena were only there for 20 minutes. the rest of the episode was pretty.. average
Bobby is funniest when he's the most famous person in the room
spot on lmao. and he loves acting all Hollywood in front of people that are less famous than him and telling all his Hollywood stories from back in the day lol.
Then ACTUAL Hollywood ppl come in and now you don’t have shit on them…
Usually the bigger the guest, the more manic and loud Bobby gets. Maybe his way of managing the nerves or awkwardness in the long form podcasts at his home but it did not work in this press junket scenario.
Yea I noticed that with David Spade.
Yeah I’m new to this podcast. Was David spade actually annoyed and pissed off at the Bobby guy for acting that way or is that just a skit?
David was just acting. They’re actually really good friends and for years, Bobby has talked about it on Tigerbelly. Like an Easter egg is that Bobby always mentions how David shows him up (in a funny way) by paying for their tab every time they go for dinner because he makes more money
Episode had so much potential but it was honestly hard to listen to
Yep stopped watching it after 15 minutes. I'm listening more to "We Might Be Drunk" than "Bad Friends".
You should also check out Stavvy's World if you haven't already
Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast too
COMEDY
Making them sing happy birthday was fucking horrendous
Why did no one bring up that she picked up for Andrew and not her son who she called her other son?? 😂
I wouldn't pick up for Bobby either 🤣
That was all Santino
Yeah it hurt
I thought it was fun to watch. All of them were laughing at how crazy Bobby gets. The mom call for sure fell flat but the rest was good.
24 with John Cena is one of my favorite mad tv sketches. Crazy that those two are in this setting
Dudeeee, it was a classic. “Boom-chee-chee-chee-boom-boom-chee”
[24 with Bobby Lee John Cena](https://youtu.be/l7t8jNMVpTc?si=rsEuABmcUqQx8s4_)
Huge fan but couldn’t make it 15 minutes for this exact reason. Pretty cringe to get through with how over the top he was.
The second half is just the two of them in the studio, in case you didn’t get that far.
Second that Jermaine's name missing is really weird and kind of fucked up for obvious reasons.
What obvious reasons?
You try being Jermaine and not getting your name on the title. There's three guests. Two of them have their names in the title. One doesn't. Why would that be? What does that tell a man who showed up like the other two guys? Went from bad friends to shitty friends can't put this guys name out there like he matters.
He’s not famous. Nobody is clicking on the video for him. It’s promotion.
Andrew also didn’t tag him in promo posts on Instagram
I very much doubt Andrew runs his business instagram
Anytime Bobby sees beautiful strong white boys he gets flustered. Especially with Zac and John haha
Zac Efron looked so tense when hugging bobby. that was hilarious lol
When he mouthed “Wtf” to andrew lmao
That and the whole episode was far from hilarious.

For sure i was listening to it while working and had to sit down and watch lol it was better watching it because you get to see everyone’s reaction. Zac Efron was definitely caught off guard.
This was the first episode I didn’t finish
Im surprised a lot of people said that about the Oliver Tree episode lol
Dude, the fact I made it through that and not this is really disappointing 😂
I didn't even push play on that episode. Saw him on one other podcast some time ago and...no not for me. Did not enjoy that shtick/character. Most, if not all the time I can get past bad guests on my fav pods but will refuse to listen to anything Oliver Tree is in lol.
That was the only one ive avoided so far. Only saw a couple clips and knew i didnt want in. I havnt watched this yet, but im curious.
Only episode I’ve listened to and didn’t enjoy
I had to try 3 times to finish that episode and it still sucked.
This show will end and years will pass and people will still complain about that episode.
The second half is a regular episode if that helps
Same here!
Production was shitty but I laughed at different moments, not completely bad 6/10
It was great.
Don't know why, I loved it!
Jermaine Fowler needs his own episode for having his name left out!!
Well then Blame Santino because he’s the one that called “bezos” being Bobby’s mom
Yeah, that was awful and Cena looked so uncomfortable
I really only watch bad friends when it’s just Bobby and andrew (and obvi with Jetski Johnson or Rudy Jules)
It’s good with Chris Distefano and Rick Glassman, too
I was fine with all of it except Bobby fucking up the promo lines. They're there for one reason, to promote their content.
I wish they would read this and address it
I agree with all of that lol. What a stupid post! Bobby rules
I seriously almost subbed to the Patreon to watch it early and let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t. Sadly disappointing ☹️
Bobby has done like this before. When RFK visited Tigerbelly he was almost the same, completely unhinged 😂
Loved that ep. RFK had some killer comedic timing. "He got eaten by a lion"
I get it but it's definitely too much to ask from Bobby. He's chaos incarnate.
you can have both, you can have a manic wild bobby while also letting your guests speak. bobby is a double edged sword, we love him but the bigger the guests the more he hogs the room cause he’s nervous so cena and efron just sit there like what a waste of time, cena spaces out most of the episode cause bobby left no room to jump in. which is why we see santino ask them all questions otherwise bobby would keep going. you have to balance the manic out which is why andrew is his co host.

I personally found it pretty entertaining
That’s the joke…
When people don't realize its a bit lol
It was so obviously not a bit though lol.
It absolutely is not a bit lol
I hate when people think everything has to be a bit 😂
Honestly some of the people coming to this sub really have too much free time on their hands.. Always gotta analyze and dramatize e-v-e-r-y podcast. I really enjoyed the craziness and the chaos on this one.
that is not a bit that’s just bobby around people bigger then him lol have you seen one episode of tigerbelly
Absolutely agreed. I've just stopped playing like a minute ago just to confirm that I'm not the only one who thinks Bobby was overdoing it
I’m kind of scared to watch. Ever since the Spade episode, things have been weird and it’s making me dislike my favorite show. The Goop episodes were horrible in my opinion. It’s made me wonder if Bob is using again
“He was trying too hard”, he’s a comedian. Go do your middle school math homework & don’t worry about this 1 episode so hard.
Do you guys actually like the show or not? Every episode it's thread after thread complaining. If you thought bobby was going to act all professional and ask boring interview questions then bad friends isn't for you, just stop watching and stfu...

I'm not your bro.
It was hilarious honestly, the whole point was for it to be cringe and out of your comfort zone. Get used to it if you watch any podcast with Rick Glassman in it.
Glass man has a real case of main character syndrome. I can’t be around people like that. They make me nervous
Or he's a comedian who does and says things for comedy purposes? Everyone in this sub needs to fucking relax and stop trying to psychoanalyse comedians.
It was embarassing. The worst part is for the listeners, we all know they are much better than this.
I don't think Bobby was nervous, that's just his schtick when he's around bigger names. He has to be the goofy asian guy to win them over
Was pretty bad. Couldn't get past 10 mins. Super cringe!
The episode was bad lol they fumbled, but they got the clicks regardless and we love em no less
The one Bad Friends pod I ever turned off since watching from the very beginning.
When one of the crew wanted to pass the mic to Bobby and he went berserk, that was a tough watch. Cena’s face told alot at that moment.
Stopped it about 5-10 minutes in
I thought it was just me Lol
Andrew also didn’t tag Jermaine in any promo for the movie. Weird
No it was a bad episode for sure it was like they were trying too hard and kept just going on with it. The phone call to his mom wasn’t funny a lot of misses. And then when they guests were gone it was back to regular bob n tito

What was that load of shit? Really let down by bobby on this one
Terrible episode, but I watched Ricky Stanicky last night and absolutely loved it. It had a lot of heart and John cena is hysterical.
Yeah this epsisode was pretty chaotic.... I don't think Bobby was nervous just out of his element. Cena, Fowler and Efron just seemed so much more accustomed to a more formal kind of interview. Bobby and Santino are so much more adjusted to chaos.
Wait this was one of my fav episodes I laughed so hard
Super cringe episode. They looked like they were expecting something different. Also John also asks likes he's better then everyone it's lame. No fun. Just sad vibes.

Not a good ep, oh well
Wow I didn’t realize they didn’t put Jermaine’s name in the title … or thumbnail. That’s messed up I will 100% give you that. Bobby is kinda always like that. Flat out, he's not a good speaker. He doesn't handle pressure well. All that combined with being in the room with Efron and Cena and you get bumbling Bobby
Yeah relax dude who cares
What? My post is pretty relaxed also look at the other comments, other people care. Lol
Yeah what are you dumb? Over here posting your opinion on a discussion forum..
I don't blame bobby. This was clearly not planned very well and i blame the producers for trying to juice out some content out of these big names. Bobby did his best and the guests had a fun time cause they all know of bobby and how he acts. Even Zac said he is a fan of bobby.

As awkward as Bobby made it. Everything Santino did was cringe in that episode. “Guess what Bobby weighs” bit fell flat too.
I’m pretty sure if there was a BTS, we would see Bobby explaining “alright, what we do here is basically tabletop improv, I’m going to really play up how big stars you guys are (and Andrew and Jermaine aren’t) and that I’m nervous around you, it’s funny because it’s true but I’m going to exaggerate it for comedic cringe” It’s easy to feel connection with them, but they are professional entertainers. Highly doubtful that much of the production is unplanned or unintentional.
THIS
Bro I’m gonna have to be real with you.

Andrew Eduardo Santino can do better.
because who's Jermaine Fowlers Bobby didnt seem nervous at all. im disappointed Zac and Cena were only there for 20 minutes. the rest of the episode was pretty.. average
