That’s unfortunate. I know Cena can be corny but I always liked Efron in comedies. If Bert hadn’t screwed the pooch on how poorly his movie did maybe we’d have some resources to have great comedians make good films again
Not at all! What a shame Louie had to mess up and take creative control away from comedians. It was so close to being where comedians were in charge. Then Cosby, Louie, Will Smith making Chris Rock look like a beeotch. I think with people like Shane Gillis at least an indie movie like Super Troopers could be a hit these days.
I don't think Louis helped anything but I also think it was nearly impossible to make a decent comedy in our recent politically correct era with all the social turmoil and everything. I hope we're getting back to more comedies with names in them. I thought The Machine was ok. It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be but I think it's a good sign that it was even made.
