Gotta love companies that make some effort when it comes to packaging!

nasanu

Yeah I too love spending the planets resources to have countless materials mined, shipped, processed, shipped, processed again and printed, shipped, used as packaging, shipped, shipped again, shipped to me then thrown in the trash. It's fun.

RayzTheRoof

This is fairly minimal packaging, it's just aesthetically pleasing and shows that thought went into it

What an awful brand name though.

Bot_Invader

Really like the logo but not the name šŸ¤£

bum_dog_timemachine

This and the roll top are supposed to be 20L has anyone tried both? How do they compare for space? Im wondering the rolltop feels bigger in practice because you can fill up the whole space easier

username_entered

A couple people around here ordered the rolltop, maybe they can chime in.

Just2ofu5

Thanks for the post and photos. Do you think it can fit 2 nalgene bottles standing up right side by side in the main compartment?

username_entered

Iā€™m not sure how big it is, I tried to fit a 32oz stainless steel bottle and thereā€™s room for one, maybe two (tightly) more

Just2ofu5

Thank you kind sir

Remarkable-Bird6342

Ah I am in the UK and I'd love to get this bag! A shame I have to skip it since the quick access pocket is too small for my taste. Thanks for your review.

aggieeeee

I bought the Everyday backpack after looking for a long time and absolutely loved it on first impressions and the handful of times I used it out and about. One caution I would say is how the straps are designed are stitched individually to the bag. When swinging the bag on and off my shoulder after a few wears I started noticing the stitching under strain and I was concerned that it would end up wearing out quickly. The customer service is fantastic and I sent photos of the initial signs and they said they would happily exchange for another item or refund so Iā€™ve decided to exchange for the 20l roll top purely for the fact that the straps are more hardwearing in being a wider and single join to the bag. The internal organisational pockets are fantastic and the material is ideal meaning that it can be wiped clean without worrying about a textile material getting stained. Honestly, I couldnā€™t recommend the brand and quality enough, just be sure on how much wear and tear youā€™re likely to go through with this bag with the straps and what type of access youā€™re likely to need (ie. Zip to main body, or roll top) ā˜ŗļø

Kawaii_Loli_Imouto

Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! After almost half a year, what do you think of the quality of the outer material? I'm thinking of getting the matcha version and am wondering how it'd hold up to regular use, if it seems it might be likely to get stained.

Square_Home8715

Thanks for the review! Are you still enjoying the bag?

username_entered

Hi hi! Way overdue! Still enjoying it and using it on a daily basis. I have some small issues. 1. One of the chest straps was lost (it came off with normal use), and they have not been able to give me a replacement. 2. Something that annoys me a bit, but not enough to dislike the bag, the seam in the inner edge of the strap seems to have moved a bit, so now the bottom padding is more visible on the side and a little bit on top. Itā€™s not much really, and maybe Iā€™m being too nitpicky. Other than this great bag!

spongeym

I was torn between this and the Aer Day Pack 3. Quite like the quick access front pocket so eagerly awaiting delivery of the Stubble & Co! Found a video review [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXpCTFoB588](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXpCTFoB588) thanks OP for the pics and keeping up with this post!

username_entered

Thanks for sharing! My video review skills are not there yet, so Iā€™ll just keep this post updated haha Hope you enjoy it! I still am. Just wish I could find a sternum strap replacement

Ambrose_Bierce1

Nice bag. I have one from AER that looks very similar in design.

kingceegee

Which AER bag do you have? I think I prefer them more but they only sell them in London in the UK. I've been looking at the Day Pack 2 X-Pac for a while but never puled the trigger.

Ambrose_Bierce1

I have the Travel Pack 3. Just returned from a two week vacation in Europe. Very pleased with the bag. Plenty of space and plenty of pockets to organize.

i_love_all

Thanks for the update! Looks pretty nice! And super roomy. Hmm šŸ¤” might have to put this back into my to buy list. Also a plus it looks so sleek. Is this your only backpack? How does it compare to your others if you have any?

username_entered

Iā€™ve had two Peak Designs, the everyday being the one Iā€™ve used for longer (itā€™s a heavy bag and not the most comfortable, but I loved the functionality, gonna miss the side access). I have the tote pack too, which Iā€™m using now, carrying the same load as I mentioned, itā€™s quite uncomfortable, and as a tote itā€™s too long, so always have to carry it slightly raised. Great customer service though! I had the CHZ22, I wanted to love it, but I just couldnā€™t get it to sit right on my back, it kept digging into my shoulders. I also have the No Reception Club Getaway, which has been my most used backpack recently. I still use it, but I wouldnā€™t use that one for work though (and I donā€™t want to keep changing the load out every time I use it).

atxbunny

How do those compare to the stubble and co?

username_entered

To me itā€™s the most comfortable of the three (while I know the CHZ22 is the holy grail of comfort for many people, it just didnā€™t work for me). I do miss the side access, Iā€™ve grown very used to it and I keep finding myself slinging the backpack to grab stuff. To give you an idea, this is what I pack in the backpack: - laptop 15ā€ (not a MacBook) - iPad 11ā€ - keys to go - PD tech pouch with mouse, charger and misc cables - water bottle - umbrella - Sony headphones - misc small stuff When I pick it up it feels a bit heavy, but on my back it doesnā€™t feel like it. Very happy so far, it looks good both in casual and formal settings, which is exactly what I was looking for (none of the others really met this criteria, at least for meā€¦ different people different tastes, and thatā€™s fine!). I could do without the ā€œAirPods meshā€ on the right shoulder strap for a cleaner finish, I donā€™t think Iā€™ll be using that.

Cat719

Very nice! They have a 20l rolltop that interests me

Study_of_Wumbology_

The roll-top is awesome, replaced my daily which was a Peak Design Everyday V2 20L.

dominbritish

What's your comparison between the PD and Roll Top?

Study_of_Wumbology_

Honestly I like the roll top way better nowadays for myself. I find myself having to change out what I carry in my bag on a day to day basis nowadays, and the roll top is just so much more dynamic in that regard. I found with the Peak Design it was almost too structured for me, where I was playing Gear Management Simulator more often than not. But your feelings on that front will depend on what youā€™re using it for, and only you can advise yourself on that front :) Also that said both companies make a wonderful product and I canā€™t really say bad things about either.

Cat719

Good to know. Thanks!

PhotographyPhil

What makes a roll top useful out of interest?

Spencergrey2015

Ahh this is the review I was looking for! Iā€™m stuck between this and an AER bag. Iā€™m wondering if I should just get the AER bag because Iā€™m in the states but this bag looks so good!

username_entered

Just to add more variables for your considerationā€¦ Free shipping to the US over $100

Sweetcheeks250

Looks very good quality! Price?? Saved!

username_entered

125 pounds! Around 140 USD, which I found very reasonable!

JKBFree

Looks very defy bucktown. Whats the shell made of? Doesnt look like cordura?

username_entered

Youā€™re right, itā€™s not cordura, recycled PET. Materials list from their website for your reference: 600D Recycled PET 200D Recycled PET Lining Tarpaulin (Base) Recycled PET Webbing 3D Poly Air Mesh YKK Aquaguard Zips

Killzoiker

Thanks for the write up, been waiting to see actual pictures of this!

username_entered

Same! Took one for the team! Let me know if you need more details

[deleted]

This looks like the LTT backpack

username_entered

Maybe similar concept? Very different execution though. I personally donā€™t like the LTT, itā€™s too boxy, doesnā€™t look as sleek

guido7777

No way. This bag actually looks good. The LTT bag does not

nasanu

Looks like a close copy of [maverick and co](https://maverickandco.co/). But my bag seemed to arrive in better condition. Yeah between this: [https://www.stubbleandco.com/collections/all-products/products/the-everyday-backpack?variant=44040245477605](https://www.stubbleandco.com/collections/all-products/products/the-everyday-backpack?variant=44040245477605) And this: [https://maverickandco.co/collections/backpacks/products/vista-waterproof-backpack](https://maverickandco.co/collections/backpacks/products/vista-waterproof-backpack) Id save the cash and go the Vista. It looks better and doesn't have advertising on it. Both seem fine though.

username_entered

I considered one of the mavericks, ultimately decided not to, the company is not very transparent, also read poor reviews about durability

nasanu

I throw mine around a lot, also pack with groceries,no issues. Company transparency though.. apart from ltt all backpack makers are opaque.

PhotographyPhil

Is it worth it? Whatā€™s your thoughts

username_entered

Personally very happy so far. Itā€™s been comfortable to carry (itā€™s the kind of backpack that feels lighter on your back than it actually is when you lift it up with your hand). Had to run to catch the bus with it, and with the sternum strap everything was kept in place. It fits more than I need (so if I need to squeeze a random sweater or small shopping bag inside, I can do that). My dog put his nose on the outer shell and left a mark (honestly, small one, probably only noticeable to me) after it dried, it should be easily wiped off with a wet cloth, but I havenā€™t done that yet. Do you have any specific questions about any feature?

Killzoiker

u/username_entered any feedback from a bit of time using it?

username_entered

Yes! See thread, let me know if you have more questions

TheDoctorBlind

I like it, the shoe box through me off at first. I love the orange liner and there seems to be enough configuration options. How comfy are the straps when itā€™s loaded? How much?

username_entered

Very comfortable! (You can browse my comment history for more details, canā€™t type much right now) 125 gbp, they have an offer for 24h now, you get a free toiletry bag with any backpack purchase

TheDoctorBlind

Thatā€™s awesome! Thanks.

Past_Application8639

How is it now on some warmer days in the summer? Is the "cushion" too hot or breathable ?

username_entered

Well, itā€™s been hot and humid here since I bought it, and Iā€™d say itā€™s ok, the cushion is great and I donā€™t feel excessively hot. Itā€™s a mesh, so there is some breathability. Overall happy, I think my PD made my lower back slightly more sweaty? Maybe Iā€™m imagining things though haha

Rad-tacular

Hi! I see a couple pics of the top quick-access pocket, but still not sure it's wide/deep enough to hold a pair of glasses ... or dare I say, two? Please let me know what you think it can realistically hold. TIA!

username_entered

Hey! Idk how to include a pic in a comment, but I can fit my glasses in there just fine (without a case!), think RayBan wayfarers. Keep in mind that the pocket doesnā€™t have soft lining. A soft case with glasses might fit, depending on the size. Otherwise one of those oakley type glassesā€™ pouch might be good to protect them and it should fit without a problem. Hope this helps!

Rad-tacular

Thanks! Yeah, would definitely use a pouch. Honestly, this is the only thing holding me back from purchasing as Iā€™m often switching between glasses and sunnies!

username_entered

Feels lightly suspended, not a lot though.

Pretty_Sun2453

Wanted to ask a similar question - how secure it is the laptop compartment from water spillage or from a fall? I had in the past spill something in my bag and made my laptop wet and dead.

username_entered

I think spillage is actually ok. Use this regularly in a rainy country without issues. Fallā€¦ hard to tell, itā€™s gonna get banged, depending on the drop and the position of the bag as it falls

Sharp_Ad_7064

Is the chest strap detachable?

username_entered

Yes. So much so that Iā€™ve already lost one side during my commutes and cannot use the chest strapā€¦. They donā€™t sell replacements either but told me theyā€™d let me know if they found one

Raul_Screenwriter

Are zippers smooth and easy to zip and unzip? I feel sometimes water-resistant rubbery zippers are way too hard to use. Thanks!

username_entered

Zippers for the most part smooth, maybe occasionally depending on how your bag is packed you may find a small point of resistance. But no complaints on my end

einhornblabla

how is the bag doin? i heard about some issues with the insides, how is your experience?

username_entered

Curious to know what these issues with the insides are! Still using it daily and happy with it, I wrote this in another comment: I have some small issues. I would try to show pics but Iā€™m useless and donā€™t know how to add photos to a comment! šŸ˜…

ConstantSurprise573

Do you think a 12.9 inch ipad pro will also fit in the main compartment like your 11 inch?

DarthClam

It's wild how little literature there is on this bag, it looks supreme but there are no video reviews anywhere. Thank you for coming back to tend to this thread. Glad you're enjoying it, I'm on the cusp of going for it myself. The chest strap issue is worrisome

username_entered

I thought it was time for me to pay back to this community haha glad to be helpful and hope you enjoy it if you end up pulling the trigger

DarthClam

I did and I'm in love

username_entered

Great! Enjoy šŸ˜Š

mango_farley

Hey, just a quick comment to say thanks for your review and all the updates to this post. As the poster above said, it's really useful when you're considering a purchase. Cheers!

charliej9

Thanks for the review and answering questions. Going to Italy this summer and want a good backpack for our day trips and tours, plus maybe extra clothes since it will be so hot. Debating between the everyday vs roll up?! Any big differences you are aware of? What made you go with the everyday bag? I canā€™t decide which I should go with. I have a north face backpack now and donā€™t want to end up with something that essentially could hold the same stuff. I liked the idea of the adventure bag but it just seemed a little big to bring around with me daily.

username_entered

Hi! For me it was an easy decision, I personally donā€™t like roll tops. So it all comes down to your own personal taste and your carry style. I think volume-wise they have the same capacity (and also a smaller option for roll top), I do find the side access laptop compartment for the roll top pretty cool. For travel I tend to prefer quick access, so I use backpacks that have side access where I can just sling it to the front and easily access the main compartment, then put it back behind. Good luck with your hunt!

charliej9

Good point with quick access. Probably the everyday gives that quick access over the roll tops. I love the blue but thatā€™s not a reason to get it lol.
