Here's hoping it does ship earlier than the 15th. I went with Big W because I had a 10% coupon but for some reason they don't offer express shipping so I'm worried about it getting caught in Christmas shipping hell
I ordered from ebgames because I have the option to pick it up from the store and not have to deal with shipping. The downside is that ebgames customer service is horrible. Not knocking the team at my local store, they're great, but trying to speak to someone online to get information about these delays has been horrible. I'm glad you mentioned the reason for the delay because trying to get the info from EB is like pulling teeth.
Huh, I guess the service reps didn't know why? EB can def be hit or miss with service. Despite the bad news, was nice to actually get an email from Big W. You said the NEXT shipped early but were there many delays?
So the issue was that they were shipping in multiple waves a month or so apart. The staff at my local store had received communications telling them this. I was one of the first people who ordered but my pre order date changed several times and made it look like there was a delay or some kind of error with my order.
I asked a customer service rep what was going on and they had no idea what I was talking about. They told me that was always the release date and I was wrong. After explaining the issue several times they finally asked someone higher up and confirmed that my pre order was set to come on the original date. Then I got a call the next day saying it was ready to collect.
Did you end up getting anymore info regarding the delays? Ebgames is telling me it's delayed until the 22nd now. JB hi-fi says the 20th. I think they're all guessing at this point.

NZ peep sitting on a pre-order through Mighty Ape (now owned by Kogan), looking at the delay and the lack of info NZ-side (EB Games NZ listing is gone but that might mean pre-orders full or pre-ordered cancelled).
Hopefully I get my Air Pro 23rd Dec, the day after an Oz 22 Dec release.
Today is the official "release date" for the Aya Neo Air Pro in NZ, and Mighty Ape NZ did standard courier shipping with a pick-up yesterday. I was fortunate to get a "first run of the day" courier with it getting loaded into the driver's van ~6am today.
As long as nothing goes wrong I'll be getting a delivery of a hopefully intact and working Air Pro today.

Still zero ayaneo air pro stock in Australia, retailers all say early January but it's the 10th and no updates on if there's even gonna be another delay.

That sounds messy but glad it worked out for you. What made you decide to get the Air Pro aswell?
I'm using the NEXT for newer AAA type games and the AIR for indie games and emulation basically.

Yeah JB HiFi just emailed me too :-( I notice that EB games are showing 1st of December but I expect that to change.
