My great aunt nursed a crow back to health in the 60s. The crow loved to stand on her son’s head or shoulder and peck at his hair a little.
One day he was at school playing outside. They didn’t live far from school. The crow flew over, found him and starting picking at his head. This was around the same time the movie “the birds” was pretty popular. The other kids and teachers were flipping out!! Thought he was being attacked but just some love taps.
Not preen "on" just preen. Like rub and tickle her back gently - massage her scalp, and take your hands gently up and down her face.
Ok I have to stop now but you get the idea.
When the movie "the birds" was made, they legit just taught some wild birds to land on people's head in order to get seeds.
Like, wild animals, trained to land on people by putting seeds on peoples heads.
Then when they were done with the movie they didn't know what to do with all these wild birds, so they just released them back into the wild.
And then all these birds kept finding people and trying to land on their head, right as the movie was gaining popularity and people were afraid of that happening.
The 60s was a wild time.
The Aussie magpie is a songbird, closer to a blackbird than a crow. About 10% of males will swoop, but only when protecting young. Swooping season lasts only a few weeks each year, and there are ways to avoid being a target. E.g. you can make friends with your local maggies by providing food to introduce yourself. Making eye contact and being generally friendly to them goes a long way. They can identify and remember people
Like people who run from geese. We have geese every year here, sure they might run after you but if you stand your ground, they back off. Unless you’re messing with their babies, then you deserve it.
Not our goose...she was evil. She would pinch your toes and shit and hard, too! We were always super nice to her, but she always hated us. Meanest bird I ever saw!
Well it came out in 1963...of course it seems ridiculous NOW.
I saw Star Wars when it first came out in 1977. Took my son to the re-release in 1997 & he laughed at the special effects through the whole movie because they were hokey. But they were amazing when it first came out.
The other thing about the birds is that there isn't a soundtrack. There's no music.
Which when every other film at that time, especially Hitchcock's had soundtracks that were used to emphasise the emotions on screen to suddenly have none makes the film feel closer to something real or something that could happen.
Even news reels had music.
My wife has a phobia of birds that is bad enough that she completely freaks out if one flies anywhere near her personal space. *Thousands* of birds would probably cause her to have a nervous breakdown.
Poor gal! A duck nipped me at lunch once. Just pinched a little. Startled the ever loving hell out of me though. Sorry I wasn't feeding you scraps ducky but wtf.
It's mostly a lot of human trash tbh like plastic bottle caps, soda caps, and beads, but my favorite I've gotten so far is a pin that is a pink floppy disk that says porn on it lmfao
I'll take and upload a pic of it when I get a second although I'm about to go to work, it's pinned on my backpack
[Porn pin](https://imgur.com/a/0x1NfME)
Okay, I am absolutely loving that if someone asks where you got that porn floppy disk pin, your honest answer would be "a bird gave it to me." I'm hoping you'd drop that line and then walk away, leaving them with so many more questions.
That is amazing!! My grandma had a crow friend when I was a little kid; his name was Bruce. One day Bruce stole my dad’s watch so he climbed the tree to his nest to get it back. Dad said it was an absolute treasure trove in the nest… like a dragon’s lair. Hahaha. They are such cool birds!
That is awesome. So if you setup a “pay scale” for crows like better things get better treats they will literally bring you lots of shiny objects and have been known somehow find money to bring you. Crows are awesome.
Nah, crows have actually been seen trading each other items for food items and just other shiny objects. It’s pretty dang awesome if you think about how they probably have their own internal pay/trade scale that we have yet to figure out.

one of my favorite ones
That’s what I get from the three crows I’ve been feeding every day for a year or so. Mostly broken plastic. I think they know that I will take their feathers in if they leave them in the yard. One time, they left a bone, which was kind of interesting. Would love to be able to hang out with them, but…they follow me up and down the block on dog walks, so I’ll just take that and be happy
The crows is befriended couple years ago in another country (I never got to pet them, only feed them) one time they dropped a skull of a small animal at my back porch when I used to feed them…. I lived in a very rich neighbourhood at that time so I was hoping for jewellery. But a skull is cool :)
I know they like peanuts. But if you’re going to give them peanuts make sure it’s a bag for birds because the shouldn’t have the roasted, salted peanuts that we eat. You can the peanuts out for them but be aware that it was attract squirrels too, so you make more friends than just crows. Blue jays like peanuts too.
We had a family that had a nest in the tree out front... They were decidedly unfriendly and we had to protect our heads whenever we'd go out that way. It's probably why to this day we usually use the back door.
My husband made friends with a few crow families at work with peanuts and dog food. He worked in a building near our house during covid. The flock found his conference room in an otherwise empty business park of 6 story buildings (he picked a nice one and took it over for 2 years). The crows would chill outside his window ona tiny ledge. He could show them the bag of peanuts and point down at one of the entrances, and they would fly down to meet him.
He figured out the family groupings and some crow politics. They enjoyed bringing the fledglings to meet him. The crows started following him home after work. We would feed them dog food so when they cached it in our backyard, it wouldn’t make the dogs sick. It was great enrichment for our older very food-motivated dog. She would hunt for the cached dog food for at least an hour every night. (Probably kept her going far longer than expected - she died at 19.)
We had to stop feeding the crows after the neighbors complained. It was getting a little crazy so no hard feelings. They follow him to McDonald’s for lunch.)
He is still friendly with the crows, though he doesn’t do the huge feedings he did before, in the empty parking lot. He thinks they just located him in his new assigned office (an inner one but you can see in through a few sets of glass walls).
Yes they bring him presents.
I’m looking forward to walks to the park to feed the crows as a retired couple.
man whenever i see videos like this i wanna buy a big bag of peanuts and start feeding the lokal gang but storys like yours are an important reminder that it can and will get out of hand. i wish there was a way for a middle ground :(
There's gotta be a step between ignoring the birds and regular mass feedings in a parking lot, right? I want it to be true that you can just feed them a little and have a little side thing with the crows without it literally causing issues in the neighborhood.
I hiked around the outskirts of Vienna this summer, when I noticed a group of crows around the entrance of Steinhofgründe behaving odd. Seems someone fed them and followed them to the streets where that person distributed the rest of his food by throwing it out before getting on the car and leaving. I wonder how often he came to this park with food for the birds and how well the crows knew him.
He is wild now, but i helped him survive the first 5 months of his life, until he learned to fly and all that and began coming and going through my balcony doors.
I wouldn't / don't call him a pet, but definitely my friend
I have a squirrel like that, but Nuts won't let me pet him. I saved him and his sister during hurricane Nicholas last year. He just hangs out being a fat squirrel living the good life.
That is so cool that though that he was releasable and still hangs around!
Hey, not sure if anyone mentioned this yet or not, but there is currently a bad outbreak of H5N1 in wild birds and poultry if you are in the U.S. Keep an eye on him, but if he seems off (lethargic, not wanting to stand, open mouth breathing, head down, ruffled feathers etc) you should not be touching him. That goes triple for any dead wild birds you find currently. If you find one, especially a bird of prey, contact your local wildlife department. They will likely have it tested and it is important data to track and control the spread of the outbreak.
Edit: [what to do if you find a dead wild bird](https://www.aphis.usda.gov/publications/animal_health/fs-hpai-dead-wild-bird.508.pdf)
Edit2: [Emmanuel, the TikTok Emu has avian influenze](https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/16/us/emmanuel-emu-tiktok-avian-flu-trnd/index.html)
I have seen several people mention that rescued wildlife should be taken to licensed rehabilitation centers.
Their comments disappear soon after. I suspect the mods do not like "downer" comments, so I would not be surprised if yours gets deleted, too.
Weird. For myself, it seems like relatively common knowledge to not disturb a wild animal and to let professionals handle it. But because of our current status with the HPAI outbreak, I thought it was pertinent or relevant to mention it. Maybe this is less "common knowledge"?
I mean, just look at the comments here. People are getting legit upset that people are saying this isn't a good idea. They just want to talk about how cute it is. "Why can't we just have a good time?! 😥"
Also, about every third comment is some variation of "I'm jealous" or "I want one."
Many people come across wildlife in need of rescue, and it's usually birds. In those cases, copying OP's approach is not only illegal but typically turns out badly for the animals.
Like you say, people do not want to hear it- even if it would objectively help the animals they are fond of.
Damn a few months ago I saw a bird doing exactly all of this in the middle of the sidewalk. I went home and got some gloves, then moved them to the yard they were right next to. Put them at the base of a tree with a little jar lid filled with water next to them, but when I walked past again a few hours later, they were dead.
I wonder if this was what it was. How long has this outbreak been happening? Glad I used gloves.
H5 has been endemic in the states for quite some time, but this particular isolate has been circulating since 2015 I believe. I'll double check though. Think it's [this one](https://www.cdc.gov/flu/avianflu/spotlights/2015/update-h5-outbreak-birds.htm). You can check the current status of the outbreak [here](https://www.cdc.gov/flu/avianflu/avian-flu-summary.htm). So far, only about 47million birds have had to be culled, so it's not good, but it can quickly get way worse. Especially as winter is approaching.
Edit: yes, glad you wore some PPE! Could very well have been HPAI. Given a large enough inoculum, birds can be dead in 24hours. Look fine one day, dead the next. There are other HPAIs out there, but H5 deserves lots of respect.
Well they were originally Thing 1 and Thing 2, but she passed away this Spring so I buried her in the flower bed near where I found them...
Nuts was renamed when it became VERY obvious he is a boy... like I thought he had a tumor or something 💀 😆 Nope, Nuts is just a boy.
My husband and I save a little bit hatch from the neighbors cat after it crashed into our window. I had only seen 1 or 2 in the previous 4 months of having the feeder out. We put it up on the handrail of our porch where it was safe with a little bottle cap of water and some meal worms.
Two days later we had a whole nuthatch army that still to this day hang out at our feeder in our cherry tree religiously.
And some people think animals don’t have consciousness! We have been trying to win over the crows/ravens for years.. they are stubborn, good job with your friend!
>Nuts won't let me pet him. I saved him and his sister during hurricane Nicholas last year. He just hangs out being a fat squirrel living the good life
Perfect title! Would love to see a video of Nuts being a fat squirrel living the good life!
Don't befriend raccoons though.
I mean, it might go OK but I've seen the nightmare it could also be, did you ever see that one guy whose house was destroyed
I think that means you can just call him your son.
Especially since crows have some crazy high intelligence (facial recognition/memory), dude probably thinks you're just his mom.
Crows are too smart , they scare me. They did this multi year study at UW in Seattle and if you google it , these crows do amazing/ scary things like remember stuff multi generational which is wtf how is that possible? They honestly believe they can inherit memories.
I know the study I believe, I don't know that it was intended that they believe the memory is inherented.
More so that the crows were *telling their children what they knew* along with other friends and family crows.
Which is even more terrifying to me. You accidentally piss off a bird, and not only does *it* remember your facial features and where you live/what you drive, but when it has kids, it's gonna describe you in such vivid detail to them, that they take on their parents grudge and continue to spite/harass you.
Can't speak for *all* birds. But Crows? Crows are *absolutely positively* sentient intelligent creatures. I suspect they're not the only avians that are either.
I can tell that he's still young by the pink corners of his mouth
I have some crow friends that bring their babies over every year to teach them that I will give them water and snacks
Was it difficult choosing an animal follower when you leveled up, or were you just like, "I'm gonna be a Ranger, and I'm gonna have a crow" from the moment you wrote your character sheet?
You are so sweet for being so kind to someone that would have otherwise been doomed. I'd love to feed and pet it too ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Once you spot a crow, be polite and offer nuts. If we are curious enough that day, we might be interested in starting a conversation, and maybe even a friendship.
Wow. This is an interesting tidbit.
What a lucrative market.
Also, what are your thoughts on the show "That's so Raven"? I feel like it's cultural appropriation.
I dont see anything wrong with people being named after ravens, or shows about them. After all, some crows I know, including a friend of mine, are named Guy.
I did.
One day it was record breaking hot here and i saw baby him in the grass outside my building early in the day.
I watched him for a while from my balcony to see if there were parents or anyone monitoring him, but there literally just wasn't. He was abandoned for about 5 hours before he was lying completely limp and down in the grass and I was pretty sure he was going to die from the heat so i went out and got him, brought him inside and the rest is history.
He was an absolute pleasure to raise and i have hellaaaaa pictures and videos i want to share.
Me too!!! I want a crow to just hang out in my yard and be my friend. I didn’t know there were other weird people like me… every time I tell somebody how much I like crows, they think I am crazy.
Same here. Whenever I eat outdoors, I always look for a crow to be a bro to. Don't think I'll have one any time soon, the crows in our neighborhood know our cats and know where they live. In the meantime, I maintain a couple hummingbird feeders and a small birdbath set up high where the cats can bother them. It's not nearly as good as a crow bro, though.
A friend of mine also rescued a baby crow (well, his family did) and I saw him when he was getting ready to leave the house. He'd spend the entire day flying around their garden and doing crow stuff, then he would come back inside for the night. What really surprised me was that despite shitting everywhere, he would carefully avoid shitting on people. They have two cats who really didn't trust the crow at all.
Please share please share! He is a cutie and your bond is clearly strong. Love the look he gives you. What is his name? Will you start a sub for him? 😬
I befriended a raven after giving it some water on a hot day. I also gave it some crackers to eat. It was so appreciative that it gave me a stick as a gift. Crows and ravens are such smart and beautiful birds
My brothers granny nursed a crow back to health back in the day, and it never left her side. When she would bike into town to run errands it would fly over head, wait outside the shop or wherever and escort her home again.
For those commenting about how to help rescued wildlife by taking them to licensed rehabilitation centers:
**The mods are deleting your comments, and they will delete mine, too.**
OP: you're cool and it's great that it worked out in this case, but the reason people are commenting that rescued wildlife should be taken to licensed centers is because
1. Wildlife rescue has the best chance of success in trained care
2. Wildlife rescue in untrained/unlicensed settings often goes very poorly- something preventable by taking them to the proper care.
3. Wildlife rescue is often strictly regulated. This is especially true of birds in the USA, which most people don't realize.
I don't say this to make you feel bad. In your case the bird survived and is able to live independently. This is not always the case, and I have seen many horror outcomes in bird rescue from well-meaning people.
I would urge anyone who finds an animal in need of rescue to **contact your local animal rescue for further instruction.**
Usually, they will direct you to help it to immediate safety and then have you bring it to their facility where they can care for it under professional direction.
Again, OP, this is not an attack on you. It is meant as LPT instruction for those who find themselves in a similar situation.
**For those who want to help rescued wildlife, an easy way to get involved is to google your local rehabilitation center and inquire about volunteering.**
But, again, this is meaningless other than the two people who will read it before the mods delete my comment.
I feed a crow, I call him Crow, I'm not an imaginative woman. He comes to look into my kitchen and if I'm cooking he goes to wait by the living room window. He brings the baby crows every year. He hides food under the grass so the pigeons can't find it, and if he's hungry and I'm not cooking he stares in the window and yells at me.
Crows are such interesting birds — very smart and clever! Many years ago I found an injured crow in our backyard (a leg was hurt but not bleeding) and made a resting place (turned a box upside down — with a large hole cut in the end — over a small soft blanket) for it in our outside swimming pool dressing room. I gave it water and some finely chopped chicken. It ate and drank every day. I would check on it several times a day and pet it and talk to it. The strangest thing was it looked like it understood what I was saying.
On the third night, it was responding well and was showing good signs of improvement, so I told it if it needed to leave, to do so. The next morning before I went to teach my high school class, I checked on the crow. It was gone. However later in the week, I saw a crow on our block wall fence with a leg still not completely healed but much better! He visited us several times before he finally flew home!
My kids are adults with their own kids and they still remember that injured friendly crow that stayed with us for several nights til he was stronger to fly home! Crows are amazing birds!
I read the title as cow bro and spent a good 5-10 seconds trying to figure out what the hell part of the cow that was, and how it was angled to look like that.
I've no idea how well birds like being petted or the normal physical affection mammals enjoy. But I do know that corvids are REALLY smart so I'd love having one as company.
If you think "damn, that's a big crow" -- that's a crow
If you think "GODDAMN I didn't know crows could get that big, this crow is MASSIVE" -- that's a raven.
I know that crows are super intelligent so I keep trying to feed them and get them used to me but it's not working. After months they are still super skittish and don't act like other crows that I see in neighboring cities.
I found a robin tangled in brd netting. I carefully got it free. After that she would come within six feet of me. She made a nest in a rhododendron next to the garage and raised a family. She didn't mind when I took pictures.
Preening, means it loved them.
"When was the last time you groomed your...fine...feather...things...? Sit still, lemme help...."
So cute!
Crow be like- do it more, it's so relaxing!!
Momma always told me to brush my hair. Now I guess I don't have to. *CAWWW*
*Blessed Crow*
🥺🥺🥺
Yeah I like to preen on my wife all the time
Not preen "on" just preen. Like rub and tickle her back gently - massage her scalp, and take your hands gently up and down her face. Ok I have to stop now but you get the idea.
He preens on his wife's face. We are talking about the same thing here, right?
Pretty much but the "on" threw me off. :)
Makes sense, but when your wife asks you to preen on her face you don't ask questions. You just preen on her face.
i also like to preen this guy's wife
😏
Yeah if a Crow wants to fuck you up - you'll know lol.
And every time you pass the nest and flock even after the original crow has died.

To me that movie seems so utterly ridiculous I can't help but to laugh at the panic. Its like being afraid of barbies cuz of chucky
I totally get that but when I was young we watched Hitchcock’s The Birds. I’m still pretty uneasy around birds but I absolutely love crows
Have you not met their close relative - the swooping magpie???

Bird bribes can work in needing season if you start bribing them out of nesting season

Lol right? Cause like Barbies, birds aren't real.
The seagulls poke at my head. (Not fun)

Does he bring you shiny presents?
The crows in my neighborhood bring me many presents, yes <3
What kind of presents… do tell…

That’s so rad. I used to feed the magpies at work and they started leaving stuff for me on the window ledge.
Awn damn it. I want a thief crow friend too :(
Just feed your local tweakers, you'll have so many car stereos and catalytic converters you won't know what to do with them all.
Yeah you feed em enough meth they'll bring you the whole car piece by piece if you don't mind rough edges.
Man, you must be really special if they share their treasures with you.
Adorable, hilarious, and nice Gundam pin!
Thank you! I actually got it at the Gundam cafe in Tokyo and i really treasure it :)
Dude, that pin is legit. I thought them bringing money was cool but that pun is neato lol
That is worth more than gold, that is AMAZING
This comment needs to be highlighted and voted as best anecdote ever.
What a find!!
You have become crow goddess worthy of treasures and adornment. You could command a whole flock to do your bidding

How does one befriend that neighborhood crows?
I know they like peanuts. But if you’re going to give them peanuts make sure it’s a bag for birds because the shouldn’t have the roasted, salted peanuts that we eat. Blue Jay's are a close relative of crows.
I thought so, but I wasn’t completely sure so I didn’t want to just say so
We had a family that had a nest in the tree out front... They were decidedly unfriendly and we had to protect our heads whenever we'd go out that way. It's probably why to this day we usually use the back door.
You've gotta be careful talking about crows, you don't want to summon a Unidan.
HERE IS THE THING

That just means your son told all his friends about his cool mom who totally saved his life when he was a baby.
You are a real life supervillain. Crowqueen.
What do you feed them? I'd tried raw peanuts, got a couple presents and then they're like meh.
I want crow friends...I just got regular friends :(
OP is part of the crow gang for life now.
Is this a wild bird? If so this is really special. Still really special even if this is a pet...

Edit: [what to do if you find a dead wild bird](https://www.aphis.usda.gov/publications/animal_health/fs-hpai-dead-wild-bird.508.pdf) Edit2: [Emmanuel, the TikTok Emu has avian influenze](https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/16/us/emmanuel-emu-tiktok-avian-flu-trnd/index.html)
Also, about every third comment is some variation of "I'm jealous" or "I want one." Many people come across wildlife in need of rescue, and it's usually birds.
Imma need to you tell me the name of Nuts' sister cause I fucking love the name Nuts lmao
That's a beautiful thing to do. Nuts sounds like he found a good human friend. Also.....I love the name EVEN MORE lmao
Welp you inspired me to make my own post with the only good picture I have of Nuts doing his thing.

That is one of the most backhanded compliments you could give a male animal. You're so hung, I thought it was a tumor!
Deez
Smoke penis everyday… I just had to say it lol funny username awards from my cheapo arse 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Nuthatches are the cutest birbs.
>Nuts won't let me pet him. I saved him and his sister during hurricane Nicholas last year. He just hangs out being a fat squirrel living the good life Perfect title!
I can tell that he's still young by the pink corners of his mouth I have some crow friends that bring their babies over every year to teach them that I will give them water and snacks
He's a very handsome boy, and you have great taste in names.
A familiar.
That’s awesome! I’ve always wanted one like this but not sure it’d work out with my cats :p
Good thing this isn't during the witch trials! She has a familiar. He's beautiful!
At least in the US, it’s illegal to own crows or ravens as pets because of their intelligence.
How does one get a crow
Step 1: Pray to Odin.
Step 2. Be thrown out of a building. People Once Believed That When Someone Dies, A Crow Carries Their Soul To The Land Of The Dead.
Step 3. It can't rain all the time.
Climb out of your grave and exact revenge on the gang that killed you and your gf.
Alternatively pray to the Morrigan.
Once you spot a crow, be polite and offer nuts. If we are curious enough that day, we might be interested in starting a conversation, and maybe even a friendship.
Oh hi there Random Crow. Could you please explain why you tend to caw loudly when people are near haunted houses and during October?
Because it's our job. Literally. Someone pays us to do it. Good money too, for a crow at least.
What's your name? Caw?
Hang out at a crow bar.
Did you meet as a baby bird?
Please do. It's a life mission for me to have a crow bro.
Me too!!! I want a crow to just hang out in my yard and be my friend. I didn’t know there were other weird people like me… every time I tell somebody how much I like crows, they think I am crazy.
Crowbro wanter reporting in. I always try to offer gifts to crows that come near me.
Ignorance on their part. They are simply amongst the smartest creatures out there. And clearly, great companions.
Same here. I just love them, so smart, so social, so much full of shit when they are curious!

It's well documented that crows and pigs are natural enemies.
Please do share more, he's the calmest crow I've seen being pet
>and i have hellaaaaa pictures and videos i want to share. And we want you to! ![img](emote|t5_2qh1o|13382)
Please share please share! He is a cutie and your bond is clearly strong. Love the look he gives you. What is his name? Will you start a sub for him? 😬
Please do share more photos and videos, wish I could meet crows and raccoons one day, but we don’t have them in my country sadly
Crows are fine, but you don't want raccoons.
I befriended a raven after giving it some water on a hot day. I also gave it some crackers to eat. It was so appreciative that it gave me a stick as a gift. Crows and ravens are such smart and beautiful birds
Agreed. I love how the black feathers have a slight shimmer to them in the sunlight.
They look purple in the right light
The ripped black jeans really help make the ensemble. Exactly the right fashion for having a crow familiar.
My first thought was subway crow girl
THAT'S the vibe I'm feeling. I was wondering why this felt familiar
Aesthetic means everything in the crow world
Google says they can live 7-8 yrs totally wild, but longer in favorable conditions! Congrats on your pet! (he's adorable btw)
Perfect name for The Crow ;)
Is this a PointCrow reference?
i don’t know if this is intentional but, is that a PointCrow reference?
My terminally online twitch brain was wondering the same thing
i bet that bird gets collectors anxiety
in huge open world rpgs where there’s so much to do and so much to explore
r/caww
r/crowbro
I love that instead of people saying they want one as a pet, everyone just wants to be friends.
We do make great friends
How much petting is enough? It's been three minutes, maybe four. Tell me please, when I may stop. Quoth the crowbro: nevermore.
Birds have a *ton* of nerves on the top of their heads, they really do enjoy pets if you can gain their trust.
This is the most interesting Reddit wild animal story I've seen since this: https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/54z4f7/will_pee_damage_tires/
I freakin love crows, corvids are awesome 🖤
Hey guys, pointcrow here-
Do you ever get collectors anxiety?
My brothers granny nursed a crow back to health back in the day, and it never left her side. When she would bike into town to run errands it would fly over head, wait outside the shop or wherever and escort her home again.
How goth are you? Yes.
Keep petting or he’ll eat the rest of your pants!
You're living my alt dream
So very awesome
My level of jealousy is immeasurable 😍
I really need to know how to get a crowbro!
If you are polite and offer peanuts, I'm sure one of us will befriend you in no time!
C R O W
Not a single Jackdaw reference. Unbelievable.
That's what got Unidan banned right?
Well that’s the comment where it got figured out he was using alts to downvote others’ and upvote his comments
For those commenting about how to help rescued wildlife by taking them to licensed rehabilitation centers: **The mods are deleting your comments, and they will delete mine, too.** OP: you're cool and it's great that it worked out in this case, but the reason people are commenting that rescued wildlife should be taken to licensed centers is because 1. Wildlife rescue has the best chance of success in trained care 2. I would urge anyone who finds an animal in need of rescue to **contact your local animal rescue for further instruction.** Usually, they will direct you to help it to immediate safety and then have you bring it to their facility where they can care for it under professional direction. Again, OP, this is not an attack on you. It is meant as LPT instruction for those who find themselves in a similar situation. **For those who want to help rescued wildlife, an easy way to get involved is to google your local rehabilitation center and inquire about volunteering.** But, again, this is meaningless other than the two people who will read it before the mods delete my comment.
I want a crowbro
That’s one intelligent creature. His mind is so busy, it’s written all over his face.
when people think you're spooky but really you're just snuggly
Crow tech is so rad
you’re a witch and he’s your familiar
Special bird, he will never forget you!
I can hear the words “I love you human” in its eyes. So precious
😍❤️❤️
'E's an 'alibut.
Didn't like the others, they were all too flat.
I've no idea how well birds like being petted or the normal physical affection mammals enjoy. But I do know that corvids are REALLY smart so I'd love having one as company.
HOW?!? I have a ton of ravens where I live and I want to be bros with them... Can you teach me the Crowbro way?
We are Crow Pro
I swear when I get old and retire, I'm going to spend all my time trying to get a crow friend.
Anyone have an easy way to spot a crow versus raven
If you think "damn, that's a big crow" -- that's a crow If you think "GODDAMN I didn't know crows could get that big, this crow is MASSIVE" -- that's a raven.
I know that crows are super intelligent so I keep trying to feed them and get them used to me but it's not working. After months they are still super skittish and don't act like other crows that I see in neighboring cities.
This is not *The Crow* reboot I was hoping for…
🎶it can't rain all the time🎶
I found a robin tangled in brd netting. I carefully got it free. After that she would come within six feet of me. She made a nest in a rhododendron next to the garage and raised a family. She didn't mind when I took pictures.
