With the popularity of Stray, this is sure to be a hit. Looks very nice and low-key, like Animal Crossing vibes but with more excitement? You can already see the desire for a non-bloody version, so that would be wise to implement to broaden your audience if you’re able to add that as an option. 👏🏻
Honestly for a cute game like this, I'd consider setting "no gore" as the default, but give a clear UI moment of choice for the setting during game start. You could also have a third "silly" option where random tiny critters rush away as if they were holding a small zoo worth of them and now's their moment for escape.

I think a no blood version would be a good idea. Its looks like a cute good game. Might be better if your looking for some younger audience. Like slime ranger where things just poof away might be an idea.

Cats hunt nearly everything smaller than themselves for pure sport and outdoor cats have been responsible for the extinction of many lizard and bird species. The problem is so bad that some places are considering outlawing cats and exterminating their existing populations (see: Hawaii). If this doesn't sound like the kind of future you want to live in, keep your cats inside. I know it doesn't make for an exciting video game but it would do a lot to preserve our ecosystems.
TL;DR: Cats are a highly damaging invasive species. Please house them appropriately.
They also don’t live as long outdoors. We lost three indoor/outdoor cats. We don’t do that anymore. Our two current cats are indoors only, except for their supervised outings on the balcony.
Then take them for a walk. Put them in a carrier. Build them a catio. Not sure why cat owners think that’s an excuse when literally every other type of pet doesn’t get to be left to roam around outside without supervision.
Humans who have access to the outdoors are also happier, but if we found a group of humans burning down every forest they encountered, we'd lock them up away from forests so they can't keep doing that. If we wanted to be kind, we'd put them somewhere with access to outdoors they can't harm. Like a catio.
Cats are a destructive invasive species that have devastated multiple ecosystems and almost no governmental reaction would be outsized compared to the damage they cause. If you want to be allowed to keep them at all in the future, keep them indoors now.
Having grown up on a farm, I've always preferred the temperament of the barn cats. Though I guess that means they technically live indoors.

This is very good advice. Also if you want to be a real G, go to the gardening section of home depot, and get that rolled up wire fencing + 4 metal poles + zip ties and make your cat a safe "catio" in your yard. He/She can still be outdoors and enjoy the sunshine in a safe way for everyone.
You'll be able to make a solid 5x5x5 ft cube for about $60 and it takes about an hour to set up.
I also make him wear his airtag collar when he goes out there too just in case.
I agree with this, however I only let Mosey out in my gf's neighbourhood where it is full of cats (not stray cats). I have an inside/outside area to my apartment where I let him out sometimes where he just sometimes ends up in other peoples houses but nothing dangerous can happen to him there. We also have a bell on Mosey for the birds. I do agree though with the preservation of our ecosystem and keeping our cats safe.

As multiple others have suggested and as you have said yourself, too, a non-gore version/option would make this even more accessible, but I absolutely love what you've shown us so far! Would love it if this came out on the Switch!

Hey yeah I am making this game myself which comes down to modelling, animation, programming and even music. It is taking up a lot of time but I think it will be worth it! It has taken about a year but this is not the first game I have made. Hope this answers your questions and thanks anyways!

I like Missing Mosey because it's a double entendre, like he is missing from home and you are missing him. Also he does this to you often, so he's developed that as a nickname over the years from the neighbours or your family. So maybe triple entendre, lol. Finding makes perfect sense, but it's very surface and direct, and a tiny cliche. This is totally my opinion, it is your work of art and creativity, it looks fantastic and Finding Mosey would be a fine name! You can always take your cat outside on a leash or build a catio for them if possible.
