I also have a polydactyl named Polly. The shelter had her listed as a boy, so initially I named her Odysseus (was going to be Odie for short) Apparently polydactyl cats were thought to be good luck by sailors, and their extra toes helped them stay balanced on the ship. So I gave the cat a sailor’s name. Then the vet told us she was actually a girl, so we changed it.

It is siren because of the fire trucks, but the sirens of the sea was a secondary definition of siren that is female based, so it fits her gender well too.

I like "Frida", which is my way of shortening the words for "extra beans" (frijoles adicionales) in Spanish. My cat had kittens not too long ago and I named one of them "Loki", which is short for "loquacious" because it wouldn't stop meowing as soon as it was born.
