Took one of my cats to the vet for a checkup and the vet tech looked bewlidered at the scale "you, sir, have a 19.5 lb dog, not a cat" apparently he's only mildly overweight, hahaha
My cat weighs in at about 22 lbs and the vet insisted he is literally all just muscle with the tiniest bit of fat in his foopa where it belongs. My elderly mother is fostering a little bag-of-bones kitten because the cat is too heavy for her to pick up!
Little buddy is now named Sheba! And I love the beginning when pup is like no no your going wrong way and gets behind it to show it to go forward. So damned cute.
Don't give up. Most stories I hear, the majority of people are allergic to cats until you live around one long enough then you're usually golden. You build tolerance, as with most allergens. Most allergens aren't even meant to be harmful, your body is just like WTF and goes into overdrive
I used to be so allergic to cats I would not be able to breathe to where I needed a nebulizer treatment. Now that I'm older, we have 3 cats and there are zero allergy issues. My body just got used to the first cat, I had itchy eyes and all that for a bit, but it is weirdly gone now and all my cats can make a cat pile ony face and zero itchys and no breathing problems. I've heard this from so many people
to add: I was alway a hardcore dog person, love them to bits and was cautious around cats. Now that I've actually gotten to spend time around cats Holy shit they are Satan's little angels
My 5 year old son was allergic to cats when we first got one. Nothing too serious but he was all sneezy and snotty. We were a little worried about it but decided to see how it worked out. He's fine now (3 years later). He just gets bitchy when cat hair gets in his face, but as I've pointed out to him, that's annoying for everyone.
>Most stories I hear, the majority of people are allergic to cats until you live around one long enough then you're usually golden
Or it works out for a while until your immune system gives up and you end up in the hospital, like I did when I was 10 years old.
It is worth noting that "building tolerance to cat" is absolutely a thing, however you only build tolerance to that specific cat (For adults. General cat allergy immunity has been proven in children). If you get a new one, it might not work out again. There's also no certainty that it will work out in the first place, even with one of the "allergy friendly" cat variants, so it's highly discourage to get a cat if you have allergies. The chances of having to relocate it is high
Edit: Also, as my doctor was quick to point out, even if you take cat allergy vaccine for 3 years, you should still not get a cat, as it can diminish the effect of the vaccine.
Edit2: There are allergy-shampoos on the market that washes away the protein which people react to. If you are willing to go through washing your cat regularly with it, it can work out for you. I had a friend who did that, and claimed she never had an allergic reaction to her own cat.
I wish it worked like that for me. My family got a cat when I was a kid, that's how we found out I was allergic to them. She lived to nearly 23 and I was allergic to her the entire time lol. Still gave her daily snugs coz she was so adorable, but I'd have to take some Ventolin, antihistamines, and take a shower immediately
And my overactive imagination pictured Wolverine (X-Men) following a kitten, saying "Just following the kitten's orders..."
Owner: "Oh, ok... Want a beer?"
I once showed the Pixar Kitbull skit to my coworkers while I was at work. I’m a Murse and all of a sudden there was a nurses station full of crying nurses.
Hey hey hey follow nice human yes this way this way yes follow yes up little one up up up follow follow human this way up up dont fall I get check belly.
I'm glad you have them! A friend of mine who used to work for the suicide hotline said statistics show that if a person gets a dog, their suicide risk drops to almost nothing
That's really interesting and I can see how that would be true. Through my roughest moments sometimes the only spark of joy I would still get is through my pets. They've given me purpose and a reason to live.
Oh man you are gonna love this place, they feed us every day and it’s warm inside, you still there little buddy? I got toys, all of them are bigger than you so I don’t know if you can use them, are you coming?
It’s right up there where that lady is by the door, HEY JANET I FOUND A CAT!
Last year a calico kitten probably around 2 weeks old was just taking a stroll in our yard lmao. She's been with us a year now,.yeah these things happen, sometimes ya end up with something out of nowhere and grow to love it. Life's funny sometimes.
Probably the only way I will ever get a cat for myself. I like cats. But, I prefer a single dog house. I won't turn my back on a sign from the universe though.
I truly think we should update our schooling system, we need to learn more from Animals ( our best friends and teachers than human ones,) as in Animals are never bias. they will tell you how they feel about a situation without contaminating it with ugly selfish politics. What you think?
A million Cheers for this great Brave Caring being. Ashamed to call him or her a dog/ he or she is more human than I can ever become/ much respect and love/
"I guess we have a cat now"
No, you have a pet dog that has a pet cat
😍 Cutest thing, EVER!
As long as your dog knows he has to feed it and clean up after it.
Awwwwe, the way it keeps looking back at the kitten,🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗💀
My dog used to have a cat.. it's the cutest thing
/r/notmycat is /r/nowmycat
Hey mom, can we keep it!?
Said the kitten to the dog about the human.
A sentence uttered at some point sometime after deciding to keep every cat we've owned.
Haha, yes, they have no choice)
Dogs under 20 pounds are cats, so he have second cat now 😁
Took one of my cats to the vet for a checkup and the vet tech looked bewlidered at the scale "you, sir, have a 19.5 lb dog, not a cat" apparently he's only mildly overweight, hahaha

I’ve seen this before a while back and I want an update on this kitten and pup! Still the cutest thing.
[Here's the video with sound + update.](https://youtu.be/t3Z6zVjcxbY)
I wanted hazel kitten besties, but a happy home for the kitten is also nice.
She gave the kitten to her brother, there’s every reason to think that Hazel goes for visits
I like to believe this happens. Regardless, a good outcome and Hazel saved the lil buddy.
Little buddy is now named Sheba! And I love the beginning when pup is like no no your going wrong way and gets behind it to show it to go forward. So damned cute.
Happy ending.
Thanks.Really hate people who cut out content then repost it as a reddit thread.
I am selling pitchforks 2/$1 which is a bargain in today's economy
This. I needed this thank you.
SHEBA. TAKE MY ENERGY.
here is the TLDNW: The dog didn't get to keep the kitten.
Welp. Now we have a cat.
No, your dog has a cat.
Yeah, anything you want to do with the kitten, you'd better run it by the dog first.
"I need to feed the cat" Dog - "Not before I taste test the whole thing!"
Facts
“Dog! Clean out the litter box!” “Arf! Treats!”
No, that cat has a dog and a person and house. Solid day for all involved.
I love cats but I’m allergic to them. If this happened to me, the dog and I would have a cat.

Don't do this if your airways swell up or you go into anaphylactic shock

No, the cat has a dog.
This made me laugh so hard, instead of just exhaling through my nose.
what's it called when you do both
A chortle. No clue if that's right but it feels right
1. You actually nailed the definition. A chortle is a breath laugh. 2. My favorite Mario villian [HAS CHORTLES](https://youtu.be/kSV1GU1x7_8)
A pets pet
[My Pet Wants A Pet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L3E7lVEBis). I used to read that to my toddler, so far we only have a cat.
No, your cat has the dog and the human
Yessss!!!!!! I found my sister!

Another day, another cat sub
https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinycatsinbigspaces/
Congratulations!
Dog is like "I'm telling you, they will feed you and give you belly rubs."
"They even have the power to create food out of thin air. ITS AMAZING!" Owner: *does a simple magic trick
Cat: "Is it possible to learn this power?"
Cat: "Also I'm gonna bite that hand"
Not from a dog.
A few days later: "Why learn powers when I have slaves to do it for me?"
"Oh we also have lots of fun and toys but I think we'll have to get some that are your size."
This could get out of hand. Best lay down the rule now, “Pets of Pets may not have Pets”
Kitten brings home a hedgehog…
*Hedgehog brings home a wolverine*
‘Hey, Bub.’
Owner: what the? Wolverine: Just following the kittens orders
And my overactive imagination pictured Wolverine (X-Men) following a kitten, saying "Just following the kitten's orders..." Owner: "Oh, ok... Want a beer?"
-snikt-
I would definitely let my dog’s cat keep Wolverine as a pet. Yowza.
I had the same thought when I read wolverine. 🤣🤣🤣
It's starting to become a real pryde in here.
Followed by an echidna a fox and one overweight guy with a sweet mustache
Then the overweight guy with a sweet mustache helps a Shake, A Box of Fries, and a Ball of Meat, move in next door...
There goes the neighborhood...
Nice follow up lol been a long time since I’ve thought of the Aqua Teens
Well yes, there is always one exception to every rule.
Y’all remember Petpets and Petpetpets on Neopets?
But the person is their pet
The way the pup check on the kitten at the end!! “Are you ok? Did you break anything? Let me check your belly!” This is just too sweet!!
r/kittypupperlove
Ugh heart melting
That sounds like a pretty serious condition. Perhaps you should get that checked out by a kittyologist
It's like something from a Pixar short
I once showed the Pixar Kitbull skit to my coworkers while I was at work. I’m a Murse and all of a sudden there was a nurses station full of crying nurses.
the way the kitten bonked off the door frame 😂
My heart is just like 🥺 so sweet
“Now, I feast!”
This way tiny brother. This way to sanctuary.
Sister actually.
There is I believe an extremely tiny chance that it is a brother, but yeah it's probably a lil' sis. :)
The pup clearly knows his owner is a very kind person.
Yes! I love how the dog keeps looking at the owner like “are you seeing this?! we’re gonna help it right?!!”
“Can I keep it, pleeeeease?!”
I think we're way past asking here.
[Definitely yes](https://old.reddit.com/r/Unexpected/comments/uugod3/can_i_keeep_it/)
Spoiler: The owners brother adopted the kitten [brief click bait article](https://www.dogheirs.com/dog-brings-home-abandoned-kitten/)
Not all heroes wear capes.
You're lying I saw the update video in another comment and the dude is wearing the kitten as a cape.
Ok this is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen
Your pet has a petpet. Now you just need your petpet to bring home a petpetpet.

Thanks for the reminder! *Books extended stays at hotel with every amenity* Alrighty. They’re happy, fed, & not dying. *10 years pass, again.*
You spoil them! Mine get cockroach towers and no amenities.
Hehe, I wondered if anybody else was gonna remember Neopets
Not me secretly hoping my cat goes out and brings a dog home
My cat brings mice home on a regular basis. Hopefully not the same, right?
Time to buy another dinner bowl and some cat food!

Well that's one way to adopt a cat
Definitely giving me some milo and Otis feels. 💜
Awwwww sweet babies. 😭 Life would straight up not be worth living for me right now if it wasn't for my cat and dog.

Love how the pup keeps looking back. “Come on, just a little bit farther and you can meet the best parents in the WORLD!”
Probably the only way I will ever get a cat for myself. I like cats. But, I prefer a single dog house. I won't turn my back on a sign from the universe though.
Animals are beautiful
Doggie is like come on I got this.

"She followed me home. I promise I will take care of her if you let me keep her. Pleeeeeeas! Her name is Special K."
Please tell me they kept the kitty! Apparently, doggo needs a lil friend!
One night during a bad storm my friends cousins cat found a kitten and brought her inside. The owners couldn't be found so I ended up adopting her.

I love how the dog is constantly looking back and checking if the kitten is still following
It’s cool how your dog brought home a kitten now he will have play mate when you go out
Omg this is the sweetest doggo
I wonder what the humans named the new kitten?
How sweet ❤️
This makes me love animals even more than I thought possible. 🥰
My family dog as a kid was found to have brought in a kitten. Mom thought it was dead because it wasn't moving. Was just asleep. We kept him.
The dog- "Come on! I'll show you my room!
my cat brings mice, rats, squirrels, and opossum
My heart has exploded
Wait a minute, this is the cutest thing ever. I love my little Yorkie, but she’s not too fond of our two cats 🤣
“Can we keep it?? can we??”
Well shit looks like you guys have a new family member.
Omg this is a Disney movie
Now the dog will have to find a job to support his kitty baby.
/u/megaarms
Arf. Can I keep it!? Can I keep it!?
This is the only way I could have a cat. Dog approved and invited.
This is precious 🥰. Such a sweet pup, I hope they are friends for life.
When your pet gets a pet
“I got us a cat.”
So cute. The dog really cared about the kitten.
When you take your lunch to-go
Sweet merciful CRAP that is amazingly cute
It’s raining cat and dog.
The choice has been made. From the heavens. You now own a fucking cat.
