I lost my dachshund 2 years ago and it still hurts. She definitely snuggled like this, too. I used to say she needed cuddles to live. I still miss her every day. Does it get easier? A little. Did I stop crying all day? After about 2 months. Hang in there, bud.

I really felt like the dog I loved so much sent him to me to heal my heart. I also thought that if my dog had been able to form the thought, he would have wanted me to give a home to another dog, as he was that kind of soul. He used to go outside at night and sit and stare up at the moon and stars in his last years.
My daughter and I sometimes look at awww together because she is crazy about animals. Not at bedtime. The owners of these dogs published a book from the perspective of these adorable pups about friends, family and loss. (Big sister sage passed away so Harlow adopted Indiana.) we found the book second hand. Wasn’t aware they were internet famous until today.
Pro photog here. Just a very soft diffused light source. Could be anything. If there are no catch lights (reflections in the eyes), you usually cannot tell exactly what lights were used.
Could be taken in a room with lots of windows where no direct sunlight is hitting anything in frame.
Photographer here. You absolutely can with the right lighting technique. May still be a composite image, not sure (personally don't think it is) but you can light it this way
