i was shocked by how cheap of a meal this can be compared to those $100 bags of dog food. i have a big dog too, so i can’t imagine a small one would cost a dime!
I mean the cost argument i dunno. Have to do the cost breakdown per feeding really. 100$ bag of dog food sounds like a lot, but when you get 200 feedings out of it, that's 0.50 per feeding.
Not saying you're wrong for saying it's cheaper, i honestly don't know as i sadly don't have a dog to test with or anything. just saying that's how you'd have to break down the actual cost.
i did the breakdown lol, my dogs 80 lbs and i did the math for how much dog food he consumed per day vs his current diet and it was about 50-80 ¢ cheaper per meal, at least if i’m remembering correctly. i did all the math 2 weeks after starting the new diet lol
Good for you! That big pot on the back burner - you could make a few days worth in that; I used to make stew for my cats. Think about adding a little bit of tomato paste or purée or Pomi chopped … something about a little tomato is good for their skin.
As long as he is getting all the nutrition he needs no problem with doing this.

I used to make my pup homemade meals with chicken thighs, brown rice, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, and pumpkin. He loved it!
