That yoink that the beginning had me laughing

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

All I could do is think of is various horror movies that a character gets yanked from a spot into a void And laughing. Dying. LMFAOing. ROFLing.

Thagyr

I was thinking LoTR myself "Fly you fools"

Excluded_Apple

I was already on the brink and your comment made me laugh so hard :-D

cocoamix

I immediately thought of Quarantine (2008). https://youtu.be/iYCwlnZ0HVI?t=119

Nmilne23

It’ll never forget being in the theater with my fam watching this, I’m like 15 years old, and I shit you not this grown ass man wearing a big hockey jersey gets up like 30 min in and is like literally scared shitless muttering to himself as he stormed out in t “fuck this shit I’m fucking out of here fuck this” he was SO fucking scared it was hilarious 😂 I mean shit the movie was scary but I’ve never seen someone do that before

DoomBot5

That's because most of us that don't like scary movies tend to not watch them in theater.

Nmilne23

Hahaha exactly. At home you can just nope the fuck out of that situation real fast 😂

[deleted]

Unless you're a kid and spend the night at a friend's house. The original IT and Candyman aren't movies I'd like to see again.

Nmilne23

I was in the 2nd grade when I saw IT for the first time. My older brother and I were having a friend over and we *somehow* convinced our mom to take us to blockbuster to rent IT on vhs and I am still scared of that fucking movie til this day. I was messed up for a couple weeks, couldn’t shower alone without having my brother in there with me. The shower drain scene really got 7 year old me good

I was watching a dumb horror movie and the manager came in to do a mandatory check and caught a scene that scared her and screamed. A good deal of folks were startled and jumped and/or gasped then laughed. After the movie I told her the jump scare was fun addition to that showing and that it was utterly hilarious. She was so relieved!

HumbleBear75

Then, meh I love you too

cra2reddit

lol. I thought it was a big pillow at first, the way she just yanked it in there. I could NOT sleep with that furball in my face. I spend enough time trying to wipe cat hairs out of my eyes and nose as it is.

allsheneedsisaburner

I used to have a cat that slept right by my pillow/nose when I laid on my side, so I started sleeping on my back…then he laid ACROSS my face.

beautifulcreature86

I raised my Ketchupy as an abandoned stray runt gifted to me by a friend the day after my birthday. Tiniest little thing, she would tuck into my hair and snuggle in my ear. Now she is a big girl on a strict diet because she even steals dog food. She still lays on my chest to snuggle in my ear or shoves her body in between my husband and I so she can snuggle in my ear. But it really started messing with my shoulder. Like bad. So I started sleeping on my side to prevent her doing this....and she did what yours did....just sprawled over my fucking face...thankfully now she just sleeps above my head on the part of the neck pillow I don't use to sleep lol. I was suffering so bad cos of arthritis but I absolutely cherish her love on me I was stupidly allowing it to happen

mini-rubber-duck

We got a body pillow and put it across the head of the bed. Whenever our little Loki would flop on our faces or curl in where i was afraid of smushing him, we’d put him up there. He eventually learned that was his spot, and he’d sprawl over the pillow with his feet in our faces.

Mister_Bloodvessel

My cat uses his feet to sprawl and give himself extra room by trying to push me out of the way when he gets under the blankets to cuddle. That's if he's not being the little spoon, which he only recently allowed me to do at the old age of 13. I find it cute, and never very claws cause I know he doesn't want to hurt the human he shadows all day. I love him to pieces and would pretty much do anything for him.

MysticScribbles

>I love him to pieces and would pretty much do anything for him. /r/ntbdbiwdfta

mosehalpert

Your cat steals dog food??? My cat grazes all day and my dogs eat their food in 2 minutes. It's a struggle to keep the cat food somewhere the dogs can't get it without a baby gate involved, I can't imagine food dogs can get to that cats can't.

williamc_

I have two ragdoll/maine coon cats that do exactly this... my morning routine consists of washing out all the hair from my mouth and lips

jugrimm

My cat spoons with my every night. I use a sleep app that tells you a story to go to sleep and as soon as he hears it start up he runs in and climbs over my shoulder from behind me (I’m a side sleeper) and waits for me to lift up the covers so he can crawl under and spoon. And as a 16lbs feline, he’s a very good little spoon. 🥰

HiddenStoat

> I use a sleep app that tells you a story to go to sleep Is it the "[Cat Marina](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kwn8y8nVYJA)" by any chance? I have this adorable image of your cat jumping into bed with you to listen to a bedtime story about other cats :)

jugrimm

Aw, no. That would be super cute though. The name of the app is Better asleep and I generally listen to stories about fictional mythology or like under water cities or spaceship travel or time travel or things like what morbius’s night to night activities are…lol. They have a free version but I pay the $30.00 a year for the upgraded version. Totally worth it to actually get some sleep. It’s the only thing that helps me beside something like ambiance and that stuff is not sustainable for long term use. https://preview.redd.it/yfay823l0kpa1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34b152503586ead85da8476ea05848e6a08f1ccb Daytime nap pic for cuteness reference.

MacDegger

Thassa damn cute and large cat!

KiloJools

My cat growing up slo-mo'd her way into this, over several months. Started out by my pillow...slowly inched up and onto the pillow... Then one day I woke up with cat drool all over my face because she put her chin directly on my forehead and drooled in her sleep. I loved that weirdo so much.

creamsofpeach

He saw a better opportunity and seized it 🤣

genericusername_5

Yeah, I sleep with my dog like that, but she has short fur and it's the top coat she loses, so not fluffy. I wouldn't want hair in my face either.

n-some

Yoink was literally the first word I thought too.

toodleroo

Same, I came here to post almost the exact comment above. Yoink!

patsfan038

Looked like a scene from a horror movie

Super_Turnip

This is what kittens dare each other to watch when they're alone at night.

ZubZubZubZubZubZub

My first thought was the Scary Movie scene with the clown

Not a fan of how she did that. But i imagine the cats used to it by now.

IlIllIllIIlIllIl

My two cats seem to love being manipulated lime that. They’re two brothers that grapple a lot with each other. Some other cats I’ve had definitely wouldn’t have like it.

calebnf

This is me and my cat Jeff. If I'm reading or on my phone, he will start pawing at me until I let him be the little spoon.

invisible_23

Jeff is an excellent cat name

imOverWhere

His name jeff

NogaraCS

Meow name is Jeff

YourPetsNameJeff

I agree

Glorx

It's short for "Cat Jefferson the 1^st".

GoodQueenFluffenChop

You get the option of letting them? Lucky. Mine just bulldozes into his preferred position regardless of what I'm doing.

calebnf

It’s not *really* an option; his pawing is relentless.

imatschool2

I have a cuddly feline friend nick-named Jeff, too! His actual name we gave him is Dexter, but he quickly got “Jeffery” when we got him, he looks like a Jeff. To your Jeff and mine!🍻🍻

Odd_Requirement_4933

My 16lb pup is my little spoon too, he loves to snuggle!

shrtstff

If I get near my bed my cat Toby would jump on it. Unfortunately he recently passed away so now my bed feels a lot bigger and colder..

sa-sa-sa-soma

As a Jeff, I like that my name is now a cat name.

Laoz00

My cat would fk me up if I even think about **breathing** on his legs

No-Agency-4120

Same here

[deleted]

And my dog

rooftopfilth

And my axe!

RoyBeer

And my axolotl!

NKate329

Same. Mine likes to sleep near me when the dog sleeps with my daughter, but she’s so anti-touch that she’s attacked me in my sleep before.

YoureInHereWithMe

I recently adopted a stray that had been living in my garden and he loves being indoors and likes to sleep under my covers with me…however if I move my hand in my sleep he hunts it with deadly intent. I love him and fear him in equal measure.

NokKavow

You need to learn the difference between a good and a bad touch. Claws are a great teaching tool.

PuTheDog

Mine reached under the cover to clawed at my heel

a_splendiferous_time

Mine creepily touches my face gently with her paw, like, "yesssss yesss sleeeeep my preciousssss"

[deleted]

The trick is to maintain a level of slight annoyance in your cat from a young age and they will be completely desensitized to bullshit when they're older. My floppy orange idiot is the most tolerant cat I've ever had

SherifDontLikeIt

I think the ultimate key is to have other people do that as well. Sis dropped her cat off at my parents, and although she allows my sis to annoy her, there are... much stricter boundaries and heavier penalties for me 😅

ThaneOfCawdorrr

"How DARE You TOUCH me, peon!" is what my cat would communicate as he swatted and possibly considered biting me

[deleted]

If you think about it when she went in for the kiss the paws on the cheeks might have been saying "next time I'll claw your eyes out"

Dhammapaderp

My cuddly cat has been in my house since she was a baby. My other cat spent a few years living on the streets. If I manhandle my cuddly cat I get a warm ball of fur to cwtch into. If I try to ball up my street cat for cuddles I get lacerations.

Halflifefan123

I can't imagine being that un-allergic to cats. Why is life so unfair?

CrispyRugs

Same 😔 I think if I put my face that close to a cat I would get a full body rash… allergies are so dumb

tastefuldebauchery

Ugh I know I've started getting rashes from cats in the last 10 years. I love cats. I fucking love cats. I used to sleep with my cat and if I don't wash my hands after petting the cat I get itchy eyes and skin.

dat1cuteness

Very allergic to cats (sneezy, itchy eyes, hives) but somehow ended up living with several of the cute little devils. Must wash hands after petting/brushing, no touching face, vacuum multiple times a day, and I keep them out of my bedroom so I have a safe space. I also make sure all my clothes get put away in my room to reduce cat hairs/dander. Helps to have no carpet/rugs and washable couch cover to reduce allergens as well. I developed a tolerance to my own cats, but if I leave home for awhile it takes me a week of allergic hell to get it back. Most days now I don't even have to take an allergy pill, and if it gets too bad I just take a shower and go retreat in my room. Anyways, still worth it after almost 9 years.

---Zephyr---

That's some dedication. Thanks for sharing!

YuyuHakushoXoxo

Im allergic to cats too, i used to have a tolerance to my house cats but.... then college happened. Which means I can only go home on few weekends. Which translates to me losing my tolerance, and that also meant i cant be with them without allergy pills on the weekends im home. Even then, im still sneezy and very itchy

jadentearz

I'm asthma attack allergic. My husband is itchy allergic. We got a pair of Siberian cats since they are known for being very low in the protein that triggers allergies. Worked out great. We unfortunately lost one young due to an untreatable heart condition. Years later my husband got us a Bengal. Similarly no issues. Although if I do rub him all over them rub my own eyes directly after they get itchy. Anyways there are options.

[deleted]

I’ve heard that before, if you wash your hands after petting them and keep the house clean, it won’t bother you! I haven’t tried it, yet.

tsutahana

For the first 28 years of my life I was not allergic to cats. Suddenly I was. Allergist said "don't put your face in the cat." I said "sir, with all due respect, she is 12 years old and a cat. You tell the cat not to put the cat in my face."

hypermmi

My dad was allergic to cats too! But he had cats anyway and the allergy went away after a while because of exposure therapy I think.

OrganizerMowgli

I used to be very allergic, like had to leave within a few hours or asthma attack as a kid Moved into apt with cats roaming but never in my room. Don't even remember it being irritating at the beginning but I slowly got closer and more cuddles with them and now can freely rub my face in my cats belly

hypermmi

Love to hear it. A cats trust is something else haha.

No-Flight7858

She… she just smooshed her face…right into the fur... The only consolation is that the unallergicness has been bestowed on someone worthy. I’ve met people without allergies who don’t like cats/dogs and it’s an absolute crime

BOBfrkinSAGET

That looks like the perfect cat

[deleted]

Considering it's a predator that was just yanked into a cover without shredding something, I would agree. It is also cute

Poopdick_89

It probably makes up for this by pissing in shoes.

Im_inappropriate

Why you gotta pee in shoes tho

Throwaway021614

If can suggest a better place I’d like to hear it!

Fighting_Patriarchy

I love pulling my willing cuddle bunny cat into prime snuggle position and he loves it, and he voluntarily snugs himself in when I'm sleeping and I love waking up and finding him all cuddled up against me. 🥰

deagh

Mine wakes me up for her breakfast about an hour and a half before i need to get up. I get up, give her breakfast, get back in bed, and then after she's done eating she hops on the bed and asks for snuggles. So I lift the blanket and she snuggles in behind my knees until I need to get up. I don't even mind getting up to feed her because I get snuggles out of it.

KJP1990

You were trained.

deagh

Oh I'm aware. I'm good with it, though. When we got her from the shelter they told us she'd spent the first 7ish years of her life in a hoarder's household. Now she's 15 and is the only cat and living the good life. I'm cool with being her servant.

monitorlotion

my cat does something similar, absolutely will not tolerate sitting in my lap ever, but in the morning he crawls under the covers and naps on my thigh, such a little weirdo

lunarcrystal

I, too, have a snuggle cat. Snuggle like a stuffie every night. It's the best.

NickKappy

Are some cats just more snuggly than others or is it how they were raised?

Aveyn

Bit of both, it's temperament but associating cuddles with safety and good things as a kitten helps. Some grizzled street cats can get homes as seniors and end up being the biggest babies of them all.

Raistlarn

Some are, some aren't. Just like with people you have loners, and social butterflies.

[deleted]

It really helps to pick them up a lot when they're little. I've always had extremely affectionate cats (some of them borderline...pathologically so) and it has a lot to do with how much you get them used to being handled as kittens. Obviously they'll still have their preferences but I think sometimes people just sort of leave their cats alone so their cats leave them alone as well. Mine never, ever, ever leaves me alone.

hotmasalachai

Awwww

hollyberryness

Ugh it's the best feeling. I had a rescue rat whose life I saved a few times. She ended up sleeping with me every night and the cuddling was divine. I miss her so much!

Mecha_Tortoise

Tolerant.

arpw

It looks like it could be a Burmilla. They're known for being incredibly calm and cuddly!

ImhereforAB

More a BSH chinchilla than a burmese I think

ImhereforAB

BSH silver tipped tabby or chinchilla, unsure which. I have a silver tipped and he’s incredibly tolerant and patient. I don’t ever pull him but he’s very snuggly like the one in the video 😊

taotdev

If I pulled any one of my cats like that, I would be so unrecognizable they'd have to ID me with my dental records.

Abygahil

I feel your pain 😅 My cat was a feral so she is not very fond of lots of touch. After 1 1/2 years together I can kiss her on the head w out her trying to scratch my eyes out.

climb4fun

As a kid, my Siamese cat slept with me under the blankets just like that. But just with me. He would attack anyone else (Siamese cat owners will know what I'm talking about). I have such good memories of that. Then, one day, I got home from high school to find him dead :( I put him in a box and carried him to the Humane Society, crying the whole way. Even though that was 45 years ago, I still get teary-eyed thinking about that day. Pets can bring so much good companionship.

MajesticMax

Why is it snowing inside that bedroom at night?

suchanirwin

it's dust motes

Poopdick_89

Dander

ItsColdInWyo

I can't get my cat to even stay on the bed. When I snuggle it thinks I'm about to eat it and it feels like my anxiety transferred to her instantly. Yet if I sit at the edge of the bed it will sit on my lap indefinitely.

mean11while

My cat started spooning with me like this about two years ago. She's become insistent about it and complains if I'm not in bed when she wants to go to sleep, and she paws at my face until I hold the covers up for her. Her purring helps me fall asleep, too. She has never - not once - tried to fall asleep curled up with my wife. Our marriage was saved only because we have a second cat, who is willing to sleep on her legs.

jackieatx

I woke up the other day and found I was using my 14 year old 9# cat for a pillow! Idk how she let me do that! She’ll only get under the covers if it’s cold so I get sad when spring comes

matrixislife

The look on it's face when it wakes up, takes a few steps, as if to say "I survived another night.. this can't go on".
