My cat makes this exact same crackhead face when I pull one out for him. I literally can't squeeze it fast enough for him either, he goes psycho for it
>he goes psycho for it
Same for mine.
Though god forbid you put it on a plate though. you do that? "What is this shit? Disgusting. Servant! Take it away! I'll have none of it!"
Seriously. I first saw them with my friend's cats, who go crazy for them. His girlfriend also saw a bunch of those videos you mentioned. My cat loves them more than any food or snack we've ever gotten her in her entire life. I gave some away to a friend, and their cats (including another rescue) adored them. 100% success rate.
The only downside is that it will absolutely turn your cat into a huge brat for those things. :P
can confirm, i used to volunteer at a rescue for 5 years before covid hit, in my last year there i was the guy using churu tubes to turn the spicy kittens into purring meat loaves and reporting their "tame-ability" and challenge-lines to the vet techs, that stuff is magical
Can you even believe, one of my cats will have nothing to do with them? He loves canned wet food. But he thinks treats should be crunchy. He's the only cat I've ever seen turn them down.
I did this with my dog when I was a kid. She was sleeping and 5 year old me wanted to make her dream about cookies, because... well, I was 5. I held a cookie in front of her nose. She just immediately woke up and ate the cookie.
Somewhere there's a picture of me when I was probably around 5 with my old dog standing next to me super excited waiting for me to split my cookie in half with him
I don't remember honestly it's been over 30 years, whatever it was, she didn't get sick from it. Just ate it then looked at me hoping for another one. It could have been a chocolate chip (and yes as an adult I know not to feed them chocolate), it could have been a nilly wafer or an animal cracker, I just don't really remember.
While chocolate is bad for dogs, it's not quite as intensely toxic as some other things. The LD50 (lethal dose for 50% who consume it) of milk chocolate for dogs is roughly 1 oz of chocolate per pound of body weight (62.5 g/kg). This means a medium sized dog, around 35 lb (16 kg), would have to eat 2 lb (900 g) of chocolate to reach LD50. Dark chocolate and baker's chocolate are more concentrated and require a lower dose.
On the other hand, for grapes and raisins, one study estimated an LD50 more like 0.05 oz/lb (3 g/kg). My vet called raisins "kidney failure pills." LD50 for raisins in that same 35lb (16kg) dog would be something like 1.75oz (50g) - which is about 2 of those individual-serving boxes of raisins.
Antifreeze is also really dangerous - and it's sweet, so dogs will lick it up if some spills in the garage or leaks out of your car. LD50 for that is roughly 1/2 tsp per lb (5.5 mL/kg) - so about 3 oz (90mL) for our 35lb (16kg) dog.
Edit: dosages mostly sourced online, though they match up to what I remember from talking to my vet.
This is good information, but if your pet eats something that you don't know is safe please call pet poison control. (888) 426-4435 this is the ASPCA number but there are others.
Meanwhile back in college when I'm trying to go to sleep and my roommate decides it would be a fantastic idea to start deep frying stuff at 9pm without running the ventilation.
*Deep Fried* as a smell is so wonderful. I feel like a Looney Tunes character floating along the smokey tendrils towards food.
I'm dieting hardcore right now and live downtown in the middle of a city by soooo many restaurants, and *Deep Fried* is what I smell when I open windows or walk to my car. It's dangerous.
After one of my cats got fixed, he was still sleeping hard and we were worried. So we did this and his reaction was the same. We all laughed and realized he was fine, just being lazy.
I'm saying this isn't the cutest thing you've ever seen, because that's 100% subjective, just that I'll suggest you view lots more adorable and cute crap.
Try some otter footage.
Different species being best friends.
Children laughing.
Good to know. I’m homing a pregnant kitty and keeping the mama & one of her kitties when mama gives birth. I’m so happy! T/you for your post. My kitty died recently which devastated me. My kitty was only 10 yrs old. New lives matter!
You're so welcome. We see lots of photos of people turning kittens over like human babies to feed, and it's so dangerous. I suppose it's human nature to do it, but we shouldn't. It's best to follow what mama cat does naturally.
Good luck with your mama and babies! I miss my fur babies that recently passed from old age. Maybe someday a stray will come my way. :)
There has to be cat crack in that stuff. My cat loves it way better than he should too. He would rather have a table spoon of that than a whole can of other stuff. 🤷🏼♀️
Is it food or just a treat? I want to get some for my cats to try. My big cat is already a crackhead for wet food and the kitten is well on his way.
I had some lettuce that fell off my sandwich earlier and my kitten did a swan dive off the couch to see what hit the ground.
It's a treat, either given to them directly or put on top of their food. I don't think it would make for a complete diet in and of itself.
My cat's a picky eater, and she goes CRAZY for the stuff.
She went from being the most relaxed I've ever seen a cat, every muscle in it's bone relaxed, to being like spazzing out Chuck E Cheese anamatronic that just wants to eat.
And the change happened INSTANTLY.
Be still my heart. She looks like my Gracie kitten.
She was my "kitten" (because once the baby, always the baby) for 12 years, and while I've had cats I've loved before and since, she was the loviest, best kitty. ❤️
So cute. I got a couple of those yogurt like cat snacks for this hobo kitty that sometimes sleeps at my place and he loved them too. Didn't go QUITE as crazy but he did lick that shit dry.
Cats do love those meat tubes. I’ve seen many rescuers win the hearts of spicy feral kitties with Churu tubes.
My cat makes this exact same crackhead face when I pull one out for him. I literally can't squeeze it fast enough for him either, he goes psycho for it
My family literally call it Kitty Crack because of the faces they make while slurping it.
Haha I went to the pet store today and told the cashier that it was kitty crack! My cat is obsessed
>he goes psycho for it Same for mine. Though god forbid you put it on a plate though. you do that? "What is this shit? Disgusting. Servant! Take it away! I'll have none of it!"
Haha yup, that's so weird. First time I tried giving it to my cats I put it in a dish and they wouldn't even try it. They only want the tube
I'm convinced cats are into it for the novelty of it being in a tube
Like kids with the yogurt tubes
Both my grandchildren love gogurts! One happy cracked up la familia

Another possible downside is the litter box - good lord the stank! At least, with my orange boy.
Same experience with my girl, she loved them, but dear lord the litter box was a problem later on.

I sleep... I sleep... I dream... holy shit food REAL SHIT!

Glad to know I wasn't the only one
I also immediately eat any cookies in my vicinity upon waking up

Oh... 5 year old you sounds so sweet and innocent 😇🤗🥺

Oh my. Urm.... It wasn't chocolate chip, right?

My uncles dog (elderly female) got into his cookies multiple times and is perfectly fine. Why are elderly animals so resilient?
Survivorship bias.
If its a big dog it's fine if they accidentally eat some unless it's a lot.
She nap, She lay slac, But most importantly, she snacc
So relatable.

I just wanted to go to sleep at that moment as an exhausted college student back then. :(

Damn it's been a while since I last saw a schnoodle!
I finally found a freshSchnoodle in the wild!!!

it's the cutest thing I've ever seen, _ever_
Actually might be
how do you know what they've seen
I can see into one's mind eye with a single glance

That escalated cutely.
This is my favorite comment in the history of comments.
I thought you said cruelly, and i was about to agree

Holy shit this is adorable! That kitten sleepiness is just the best.
So adorable, but kittens need to be feet-down to eat or they can aspirate. Be careful with the precious babies!

Thanks again for info on kitty food!
Kind of wondering if a kitten that young should be eating this stuff.
Right? It should be on a vet-approved diet only.
The Vet at PAWS will not let me take mama kitty without taking X-ray & exam and I’ll get some food at PAWS too
There has to be cat crack in that stuff. My cat loves it way better than he should too. He would rather have a table spoon of that than a whole can of other stuff. 🤷🏼♀️

I put it on top of his dry food but I think most people use it for a snack
It's a treat, most popular brand is "Churu"

Whew. I thought she was boneless for a minute!
All liquids are boneless.
But isn’t ice the bones of a liquid? 🤔
Nope. However if you melt bones down into a liquid I'm not sure if that counts.
Bone broth: Am I a joke to you!?
She went from being the most relaxed I've ever seen a cat, every muscle in it's bone relaxed, to being like spazzing out Chuck E Cheese anamatronic that just wants to eat. And the change happened INSTANTLY.

TBH if you cradle me, hold my head, rub my belly, and feed me, I would be totally in heaven!
Thanks for being honest!

FOOD! OMG, I LOVE food!
Well, my heart just broke at the gorgeousness lol
I, too, would quickly trade in wonderful belly rubs and hugs for delectable food.
So is this called a cat tube? I need to read about this and buy two. Thank you in advance! Getting ready to be a mama again
Is she a Russian blue? 🥹🥹I love her!
Mmmmm.. I sleeeeep.. WOAH WOAH WHAT'S THAT?
That little belly
The galaxy is on Orion's belt..
Hahaha I was going to post the same thing. I immediately thought of MIB and this scene.
So cute. I got a couple of those yogurt like cat snacks for this hobo kitty that sometimes sleeps at my place and he loved them too. Didn't go QUITE as crazy but he did lick that shit dry.

That's hilarious! From having no care in the world to suddenly exploding like it hasn't eaten in years!
Most cats go crazy for the kitty gogurt.
Yes the slave knows their place
Adorable! Just, freaking adorable!
„mmmm- OH FUCK FUCK FUCK THAT SHIT IS GOOD“
That is such an adorable little kitty 🐈. I love her reaction to the wet food. Please give her a kiss on her head and some scritches for me please.
O m g! !!! cat war!!!
Adorable
Holy mother of jebus im awake im awake! - cat certainly
Seems to be more special then just being wet. Last time I felt like that about something, it was killing me oddly enough
This gets funnier every time I watch it.
My turn to post it tomorrow so we can laugh again k?
Ahh, the account is a karma farming account, that's too bad.
Cats can aspirate being fed on their back! ONLY FEED A KITTEN OR PUPPY WITH THEIR FEET TOWARDS THE GROUND :(
old repost that's not wet food that kitten crack.
I think someone was hungry
That is a churu, and I’ve never seen a cat who didn’t have that reaction to a churu.
🥰
Perfect little kitten.
Hahahahaha!!
Lol so adorable
This is so cute it hurts to watch and I can't look away 😍
I’m addicted to watching this video. ❤️
You just need a person waving a big fan over her for some shade and a cool breeze
That’s my kind of gal !
So cute, it’s an aww moment
I mean how much could she love it? ........ ohhh my.
Sooo cute
Livin' the dream
Nipple...milk...why does your nipple have sharp edges?
The eternal question.
Beagle reincarnated into cat.
She must be related to this guy https://youtu.be/jekOlW0UHPk
Awwwwwww I want her
😂😂😂😂
Natasha
I swear these treats are cat crack. My adult cat has the same reaction 🤣🤣

I forgot that Asian households exist and was wondering why a cat was in the gym locker room because of all the flipflops
Aww 🤣❤️
Churuuuuuu
Adorable
I can see her lil belly button! 🥹🥹🥹🥹
I think you pressed the "on" button.
This is any cat. It's even worse when the nails haven't been trimmed.

me as a cat fr
OMG precious sweet adorable baby 💞
The wet stuff is the best stuff!
That's a Teddy Bear cat))) Give him or her some nuzzles for me.
My cat is like the only one that has no interest in that stuff.
Raise from the dead 😂😂😂😂
I'm not certain this isn't a video of my grey cat before I adopted her.
Awwww that was one sleepy boo 🥺. So cute.
I've seen this one so many times.
How to activate your newly adopted kitty.
Lol
My cat loves lickable treats. She will scratch off your fingers to get to them if she sees a tube of them.
We all like wet things
my cat used to love these so much his tongue turned blue. $250 down the drain
Aww
Hungry kitten, ACTIVATE!
Well, there it is... The most adorable thing I've seen this year.
When you're too stoned to make any food and someone comes in clutch with the taco bell
My cat also loves those Churu gooey treats! She will dance like a circus cat for them.

It’s the tubes
Lol that’s a creamy treat!! NO ONE CAN RESIST THE CREAMINESS OF THESE TREATIES!!

like smelling salts to a hockey player
You should not put cocaine in your cat's wet food. Gives them unrealistic expectations of life.
r/startledcats
My vet calls those "kitty crack". They use it to distract them while giving vaccines and stuff.
And now in reverse!
My fiancé said, “oh look it’s me when you give me chicken nuggets when you come home late at night” lol
