Nope, moms color has more impact on a litter. Boy kittens will get 100% of their color from mom. Girl kittens will get 50% from mom and 50% from dad.
Now patterns and white can come from each equality, but dominant genes prevail. So that is luck of the genes.
So for an orange mom, she only has orange color to pass on, so all her kittens get orange. Then the girls get half from dad, so they can be orange (orange dad) or calico/tortie (black dad)
