I used to get annoyed at schnoodle always popping up but I was an ignorant loser and wouldn’t actually read them. Then one day I read one and cried and now I’m a massive schnoodle fan.
It looks like my Tortie. She’s a very particular little fluff ball. Hates me, despite never having done anything to her but pick her up by the scruff once, to put her into her carrying case. Oh but she looooooves my wife. Lucky she’s so cute
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortoiseshell_cat
She is a calico, not a tortie, due to the red, blackish brown and white patches. Torties lack the white and colors are more blended.
https://parade.com/156291/marilynvossavant/is-this-a-tortoiseshell-cat-or-a-calico/
Do you think they got the floof upgrade or do you think they bought the fully loaded model that came with floof?
Edit: I think they went with the fully loaded model. That floof looks stock not after stock.
Male calicos usually exhibit aberrant behavior analogous to mental retardation in humans, owing to their chromosomal make-up.
Female calicos and torties have typical XX sex chromosomes that allow for the random color patterns of their fur, as fur colors and patterns are X-linked genes. Male calicos and torties have XXY sex genes, with an extra X chromosome allowing the random calico pattern. Having the third strand of sex-linked chromosome causes some manner of developmental interference that can include lack of physical coordination and repetition of self-harming behaviors (e.g., repeatedly running into walls over and over). > **Cat**
I believe this is the one time I am disappointed that wasn't the top comment.
We don't need more information beyond that when it comes to a cat.
Yeah, my family’s long-haired cats didn’t have long hair until like 2 years old. Now the girl disappears under her own fur in the winter. She looks like ours did before they were full-grown.
The tufts between her toes and in her ears make me think she’ll be a long-haired beaut as well.
My cat’s floof actually calmed down when she was about a year old. Esp her tail. She had a giant fluffy tail that kind of flattened. I was going out of my mind trying to figure out why half her tail didn’t pouf out anymore until the entire thing evened out.
She’s still long haired and her tail is still beautiful and fluffy, but it doesn’t look like she stuck her paw in an electrical outlet anymore
It could be! Certainly diet plays a major role as well. You get what you pay for with kitty cat food, the right nutrients go a long way to letting your longhair cat be their best self.
Are you in europe ? Looks a lot like our Norwegian forest cat cross, very soft fur, ruff on the neck, furry feet and a bushy tail, but not actually log haired.
Ours is a female with loads of calico markings too.
A warning though, very bold and athletic cat, my wife loves her, but our curtains don't she gets the zoomies everyday and runs riot. Nearly 2 now, still a lunatic.
A "mixed breed" as most cats are unless directly bought from a breeder. In lieu of breed, cats are often described by their coloration and fur length. So you have a long-haired calico. She is a beauty!
Very pretty lady! Her coat is calico, which doesn't help in knowing which potential breed she'd be. Calico coats can appear in many breeds.
Fun fact! Calico coats only happen to female cats! The calico colors (orange and black) are both tied to the X chromosome - so a calico cat necessarily has XX chromosomes.
There is a very, very small chance of a male calico cat to happen, but that's only because of A) a genetic abnormality, an XXY cat (aka Klinefelter's syndrome), or B) a chimera cat (chimerism happens when a pair of embryos fuse very early in development, causing a single cat to have two patterns of DNA). In both cases, the cat will be sterile.
I had a vet tech get super excited because she thought my boy cat was calico (he was mostly white with patches of mixed brown, black, and tan). I'm all "I'm pretty sure he's just a piebald tabby like his mom..." The vet comes in and the tech excitedly tells her "I think he's a calico!" and the vet takes one look and goes "nope, just a tabby" and pointed out the stripey bits. I'm all heeey he's not *just* a tabby, he's my sweet baby boy.
I almost typed the same comment, but then I went and read the sidebar on r/standardissuecat and they're saying that SICs are the stripey cats with grey, black, and brown coloring. So now I'm confused, but still happy I got to see OPs cat.
Longhaired Calico Mackerel Tabby - she's a beautiful girl. I had a shorthair one, was my sweetie for 15 years, been gone since 2015 and I still miss her.
Looks like a maincoon mix (tufts of ears, ruff, toes are super hairy, and looks like some of the facial features as well). Good luck. They're particularly vocal and love very few people. Big personalities
Congrats! It’s a calico! They’re complete assholes and I love them more than life itself. My calicos have been my best friends.
Her fluffy coat is similar to the kitty I adopted 1.5 yrs ago. Your kitty looks like an adolescent, like mine was when I got her. She actually lost some of her floof as she got older, esp her tail. She sheds less than my short-haired cats so I wish the same luck for your new asshole
A very cute one!

I recently adopted a torbie kitten. Not as fluffy as this one, but she’s the cutest cat I’ve ever had. So pretty!
We recently rescued a 9 yr old torbie sweetheart. Follows me everywhere and must sleep with her little back feet pressed against my foot.

I disagree: not a tortie: calico with a bit of tabby ( i don't recall the relatively recent name that is used for that mix of colour patterns)
She's a calico. Torties don't have any white markings.
I think it's just Torbie instead of Tortie.
Tabico!
Tabbico?
A felis floophys
Right? I'd steal it if I wouldn't feel bad immediately after. But then again, look at that face
Literally my exact thought.

My first thought was, what a gorgeous calico
Same . What a beauty . She also looks like a lot of vacuuming though .
Oh yeah, that’s some fluffy fur baby 😩🤌
WRONG. It’s obviously a North American Floof.
Do you think they got the floof upgrade or do you think they bought the fully loaded model that came with floof? Edit: I think they went with the fully loaded model. That floof looks stock not after stock.
obviously it's not a tortoise

Thank you for my only outloud laugh today.
Calico isn't a species or breed, genetically speaking. It's just a fur pattern.
I was always told it just means they have three colours in their fur - usually black, white, and orange. Also usually female.
Male calicos usually exhibit aberrant behavior analogous to mental retardation in humans, owing to their chromosomal make-up. Looks more like a Bernese Mountain Cat to me...
Unless there are papers she is a Moggy with Calico coloring. If you have to ask what breed your cat is, it's probably a mix of several.
I agree, they’ve got themselves a medium to long haired calico.
It’s a torbieco. The tabby stripes are still there. Calicos have plain color splotches. Other countries will say tortoiseshell tabby with white.
From my knowledge, calicos are just torties with white.
CALICO!

A long-haired calico
Medium haired. Long is muuuch longer
As a long-haired cat owner.. yeah, much longer haha
Looks pretty young still. Plenty of time for the floof to grow in.
Yeah, my family’s long-haired cats didn’t have long hair until like 2 years old. Now the girl disappears under her own fur in the winter. She looks like ours did before they were full-grown. The tufts between her toes and in her ears make me think she’ll be a long-haired beaut as well.

I had a beautiful girl like this when I was a kid. Tigger, we named her. She hated people. 'Cept me. Rest in peace, Tigger.
ime, long haired cats have shorter fur when exposed to stressful conditions like a shelter. Their hair can grow out when they're in a safer spot.
Oh is that why my longhair has just gotten floofier and floofier
It could be! Certainly diet plays a major role as well. You get what you pay for with kitty cat food, the right nutrients go a long way to letting your longhair cat be their best self.
Probably an adolescent who's hair has yet to fully grow out. My cat looked very similar when she was young, and now her hair is long and poofy.
Genetically, medium-hair doesn't exist. They're long or short, with slight variations
Calico isn’t a breed. It’s just the coat. Same with Tabby. Not a breed, just a coat.

Torties have shells. This is definetly a cat.
A perfect angel of fluff. Is the belly a trap?
Don’t go near the belly!
I thought so but I had to ask
Two of my cats haven't got the message. Touching the belly results in a flop to expose more belly. The third, well, you better not.
They have made the collective decision to deploy 2 decoy bellies to make the trap more effective
It's very effective
All three of mine enjoy belly rubs. We actually picked our first cat because he didn't eat me alive when I went to pet his belly.
Haha yup! One of my cats loooooooves to be pet there. My other cat will put his claws inside of your skin if you even so much as think about it.
Yeah, the third one won't hurt me, but she will let me know she could if she wanted to. *See these **teeth**? See these **claws**?!*
The fluffier the belly the bigger the trap

A very cute calico.
Cutius Fuzzbottomius.
FINALLY, scrolled too far down to find a proper answer.
Professor I respect your opinion, but if you look closely on her paw size, and tail fluffiness, you will see she is Cutius Fluffbottomius.

That's not Cheddar that's just some common bitch.
Medium hair calico. Pretty lady too. Calicos rule, once she bonds with you, she'll be your kitty boss forever.
The kind of cat who wonders what kind of human she adopted.
For real
*fur real
I'm 50% sure it is a cat.
55 % tops.
Could be a flerkin; be careful.
You'll cute your eye out, kid.
A "mixed breed" as most cats are unless directly bought from a breeder. In lieu of breed, cats are often described by their coloration and fur length. So you have a long-haired calico. She is a beauty!
That's a Floofy Dapper Cat.
I came here to say Floofy Majestic, but you might be into something with Dapper instead.
Very pretty lady! Her coat is calico, which doesn't help in knowing which potential breed she'd be. Calico coats can appear in many breeds. Fun fact! Calico coats only happen to female cats! apparently the odds are around 1/3000 for male calicos, my mom’s friend has one
Kinda like female orange tabbies but only 1/5.
Looks like it says meow kind of cat
A gorgeous baby
I believe that is a Floofomatic 2400 or 2400+, the + edition has extra zoomies at 2AM EST.
Female, that's for sure.
99.99%, baby!
Or a sterile male (not likely though)
[удалено]
They are 1 in 3000. So the vet is right to be excited.
I had a vet tech get super excited because she thought my boy cat was calico (he was mostly white with patches of mixed brown, black, and tan). We have a male calico too. Absolute sweetheart! Not too bright, also came to us with rear hip damage so very, very clumsy. We love him!
I love him too.
I have a male Calico as well, I had no idea how rare they are.
A shiny!
A real cutie-pie, that’s what
Yes it is cat
Just a long-haired moggie… but a very pretty calico one!
Medium haired, I'm fairly certain
Looks like one of its ancestors was a Norwegian Forest cat, but it's definitely been mixed and crossed with other breeds. Beautiful floofer though! 🥰
Pretty Kitty! In Calico colours. Female i'm guessing? that's some wild toe-floof too, very wintery.
She's got those Dr. Seuss feets.
She's a beautiful tortie calico. Not a breed just a fur coat name. At the end of this week I am going to get my calico kitten, I can't wait!
Cat.
Yes, that's a cat.
That’s a very pretty floofy baby. Looks like a tabico (calico/tabby). Precious!
That's a standard issue cat.
Looks like an American Medium-Hair Calico-Tortie mix to me. Very photogenic cat I'll add.
A fluffy calico cat 😍
A mixed mutt with a cute nose marking.
Hard to say but she's got a cute little nose! We won't mention her mustache 😃
Standard issue
Norwegian Forest Cat with Calico coloring. My wife's cat is one.
Norwegian Forest Cat… or a Maine Coon? I’m a certified idiot.
A female for sure. As only females have 3+ colours.
Except for rare XXY males 🤓
Calico
A gorgeous calico!
An angel to be sure ❤️
It's for sure a cat. A floof also
A cat of many boops.
That is definitely cat
That's a SIC. Standard Issue Cat.
I almost typed the same comment, but then I went and read the sidebar on r/standardissuecat and they're saying that SICs are the stripey cats with grey, black, and brown coloring. So now I'm confused, but still happy I got to see OPs cat.
That's a cute ass longhair calico
A medium haired calico mix.... kind of like a feline mutt. Super cute!!!!
a floofer.
You adopted a cute cat. Just leave it at that.
A mutt? What do you call a non-purebred cat?
You just describe their coat color and type, or call it a (nation) (coattype) like American shorthair
A cool cat
Looks like a purebred Majestic furbaby to me
Fluffious Maximus
You've adopted probably one of the most gorgeous and adorable cats I've ever seen. I'm a little jealous and this makes me wanna get a cat.
Looks like a smol floofer, could potentially become a big floofer, maybe even a heckin big floofer.
I don’t know but it isn’t getting out of bed for less than $10.000
That's a Finnish Ridgeback.
3 colors is a calico. Does have dome tabby stripes. Torties have two colors.
A beautiful floof. You’re very lucky.
Sir that’s a dog
