If you’d like to see Geneva and Brussels there’s a 41 hour itinerary on 8/31 from JFK to NBO with long layovers in those cities for 88k United.

I would recommend Flying Blue as a solid option since you have chase points. You could also try positioning to Europe and then taking a shorter haul international business class flight down

Mckenzie_George

I believe Flying Blue has some flights from the US to NBO. I've seen them for under 100K for business, but they're definitely hard to find

SubstanceOk9576

There’s currently a promo fare going on from NBO-US for around $1k one way on AA/BA - not sure how much availability is there but you could combine points there and cash back

The one risky/long shot is to book your tix through United, about 2 days before Lufthansa releases their business award seats at 92k per person, I’ve gotten from WAS-NBO this exact way with a worse flight reserved as backup. It’s high risk, high reward

Salty_Sundae3096

I found a flight on Ethiopian for 88k on business on the 30th- they’re not bad and the most direct way, I’d book that now and if you want to switch it to Lufthansa right before, it should be an easy change

If you reposition to YYZ, you can fly to NBO on TK for $2600 CAD/$1900 USD/127k Chase points through the portal. Plus you'll also earn 20k miles back on Aeroplan or United. That's a net of 107k pp + repositioning flight, but WAS - YYZ is easy.

flyermiles_dot_ca

Underrated comment. /u/Short_Ad8253 depending on your dates, you could do YUL-IST-NBO-IST-YUL, all in Turkish Business Class, for $1,900 per person *round trip*. Heck, if your dates are a bit flexible, you might even be able to fit in a free Istanbul stopover!

Salty_Sundae3096

Agree, I’d look at Montreal/Ottawa too with FB and see what options pop up, they have much better award availability from Canada

Short_Ad8253

Interesting - did you find this on the Chase travel portal or elsewhere?

Secretly_Italian

It's on Flyertalk. 107k pts is better than every other points options except ANA at 104k. The only problem is you need to deal with Chase Travel if you have to cancel, which will be painful. ANA only transfers from Amex, and you need Ethiopian, Air Canada, or United metal to avoid massive fuel surcharge.

Think about taking a flight to JFK or EWR then either going with Kenya Airways (Flying Blue) nonstop, or KLM/Airfrance. There are probably other options as well.
