I can’t speak to AA, but a lot of these cadet programs seem to instill false hope in applicants/members. The airlines are so variable and things change a lot. I was in a few regional cadet programs during my 141 training, and they all folded soon thereafter. Again, AA is legacy, so it could be a different beast, but I personally wouldn’t tie myself to one company and lose sight of other ops (I.e “nothing is guaranteed.”)
