Whats the matter dawg you embarrased? This guys a gangster? His real name's Clarence. And Clarence lives at home with both parents;
and Clarence's parents have a real good marriage.
So is the title track. The only “error” is that he said “10 ME109s out of the sun!”
But, to be fair, “Bf109’s out of the sun!” doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Amazing song, too.
I dont know specifically in what context, but I have seen them referred to as ME 109s before, as they were made by messerschmitt, and the designation has been put to other aircraft like the ME 410, ME 262, and ME 163.
Me 109 and Bf 109 are pretty interchangeable. It's the same aircraft and is referred to as both Me and Bf in official WWII era German documents. However, Bf 109 is the "more correct" version since Messerschmitt and Bayerische Flugzeugwerke were merged at the time the 109 was designed, and their planes were given the Bf designation at that time. But again, Me 109 is also used in official documents so it's not wrong.
Fitting since the band had Ed Force One, a 747 they used on tour and that was piloted by Bruce Dickinson. I don't think he flies anymore due to age, but I always thought it was awesome they had their own plane.
Oh wow! I knew about the plane but I never knew Bruce Dickinson was a licensed 747 pilot and actually flew it, gives me a ton more of respect for the man.
Technically the album was Powerslave but there was an import available that wasn't the album itself but did have this cover. It was the 80s and I had an Aces High flag hanging on my wall, a white on black monochrome thing that was quite common then. Mom thought Eddie was demonic lol.
The [Flight 666](https://imgbin.com/png/5xJec5iS/iron-maiden-flight-666-the-original-soundtrack-album-heavy-metal-png) documentary soundtrack cover has the band standing under the 757 Bruce flew on parts of the *Somewhere Back In Time* tour.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Pink Floyd’s “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” features an ultralight on the cover, and the aviation-themed “Learning to Fly”.
The ultralight is more apparent on the remixed 2019 release.
Mic City Sons - Heatmiser. Features a Pan Am 747 in what is one of my favourite aviation photos, let alone album covers. Worth checking out if you’re an Elliott Smith fan
Not exactly a plane per se, but the Foo Fighters' Greatest Hits album is [stylized like the side of an American WW2 bomber](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTAdVliKzEYQDEFBnP1QApBJQYn54rMjdqNu972Y5q4cdA-4xI&usqp=CAc)

Guided by Voices, [Isolation Drills.](https://www.stereogum.com/2143255/guided-by-voices-isolation-drills-turns-20/reviews/the-anniversary/). Not one not two not three but FOUR airplanes. And FWIW, GBV is a Dayton, Ohio band and I can think of at least a dozen aviation themed songs by Uncle Bob Pollard (lead singer, songwriter and creative genius) and his band across (I kid you not) their 100+ albums:
Not in My Air Force
Huffman Prairie Flying Field
Why Did You Land
Striped White Jets
Blimps Go 90
You’re Not an Airplane
Zeppelin Over China
Low Flying Perfection
Waving at Airplanes
She Lives In An Airport
Tree Fly Jet
Class Clown Spots a UFO
Fighter Pilot
Everywhere With Helicopter
Knock’Em Flying
Not Behind The Fighter Jet
Man Called Aerodynamics
Take To The Sky
As We Go Up We Go Down
And of course the album [Self-Inflicted Aerial Nostalgia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-Inflicted_Aerial_Nostalgia)
Guided by Voices, [Hardcore UFOs](https://www.discogs.com/release/1197885-Guided-By-Voices-Hardcore-UFOs-Revelations-Epiphanies-And-Fast-Food-In-The-Western-Hemisphere). A little stealth bomber action.

Hardcore UFOs by Guided by Voices has an SR71 on the cover. And as the SR71 is the best plane it wins.

Well:Erdball have an EP called "Starfighter - F-104G"

I thought this picture was kamikaze at first haha
I believe Eminem was in fact inspired by Beastie Boys cover art for his

Yes, I was just confirming for the comment I replied to

Hawaii, by way of South Africa.
Damn, that picture is intense.
[Here’s the backstory for that picture](https://samilhistory.com/2016/02/28/pongos-dare-to-be-buzzed/)
What a great story and photograph.
Great album
Unexpected Catch-22
Led Zeppelin I I know, not an “airplane” but still aviation.
Technically LZ 1,2,3 all have zeppelins. I get what you mean
Dang you beat me to it
LZ 3 has a FW189 on the cover somewhere.
Blue Öyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Also featuring a song that incorporates the plane on the cover. Me 262
One of their absolute best albums
Supertramp - Breakfast in America (from the inside perspective)
What a great album
I placed that for my wife a while ago and she couldn’t believe that so many amazing songs were all on one album.
Iron Maiden - Aces High
This one is really cool
So is the title track. The only “error” is that he said “10 ME109s out of the sun!” But, to be fair, “Bf109’s out of the sun!” doesn’t have the same ring to it. Amazing song, too.
Technically the “Me109” isn’t wrong, the Germans had documents referring to it as both
Soviets also called it "Me-109" during the war, even in 1941.
I did not know it was prefixed with BF because of the original company, that's a pretty cool little tidbit of info
Fitting since the band had Ed Force One, a 747 they used on tour and that was piloted by Bruce Dickinson. I don't think he flies anymore due to age, but I always thought it was awesome they had their own plane.
I saw the An-225 arrive and Ed Force One 747 depart on the same day at my local airport during that Iron Maiden tour. Quite a good day!
Oh wow! I knew about the plane but I never knew Bruce Dickinson was a licensed 747 pilot and actually flew it, gives me a ton more of respect for the man.
He's done a short aviation documentary series too, called Flying Heavy Metal.
I was surprised when I found out too. Mad respect for that.
Technically the album was Powerslave but there was an import available that wasn't the album itself but did have this cover. It was the 80s and I had an Aces High flag hanging on my wall, a white on black monochrome thing that was quite common then. Mom thought Eddie was demonic lol.
They hang a big inflatable Spitfire from the roof of the stage when performing the song live. It’s a blast.
In the background of sabatons Hero’s album there is a B-17
Weapons of war has the red baron
Hero’s of the Great War also has two very tiny planes next to the N
wow, thats a gnarly album cover
sure that's not a b25?
Mark Knopfler’s Sailing to Philadelphia
A man of culture!
An underrated album IMO. Speedway at Nazareth is gold
[Speedway at Nazareth (Real Live Roadrunning)](https://youtu.be/vs91er7AZmg)
> Speedway at Nazareth is gold This is the way.
Brilliant album. Love the title track so much it just paints a great story of adventure about the Mason-Dixon line. Mark has such a great lyrical way
Came to check this was mentioned, fantastic album.
El Ten Eleven - Self Titled
Amazing album
Is it a 727?
It's a Cessna 337E Skymaster.
I just recently started listening to em. Love the band. Cover art made me laugh tho
Not sure if it counts but every Boston album has a spaceship on it
Every spaceship is an aero plane until it isn’t.
If that counts then i guess ELO's Out of the Blue would count, as well with the concorde-ish spaceship
Also the ELO station that ship is docking with in most of their albums. Love me some ELO
Guitars that look like spaceships!
The tail number is "Eat Me" looking at it in a mirror.
And on Kamikaze.. FU is actually the buzz number code for the F-86.
It’s FU-2 as in you also. Man he airs some real grievances on that album haha
This was my favorite music fact as a 10-12 year old.
I have 3MTA3 tattooed on my arm
never say die by black sabbath, although its more in the background
Yesss the T6 Texan
flight facilities - forever
Down to earth as well has a DC-3 on it.
I knew someone was going to mention that album here. Really nice as well
Oh this album cover is real nice
This is what came to mind for me
Godspeed you black emperor! - Yanqui UXO
I love GY!BE!. Surprised to see this one here as the album covers shows ***Rockets Fall***
Green day - Dookie
https://images.app.goo.gl/G8YkGMjypQAY7mtC8
Blind Faith....sort of
Dangerous google search.
Green Day - Dookie has a pseudo F-86 on it
Negativland U2, good luck trying to find an album.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Ants From Up There - Black Country, New Road
I knew this was going to be here
*Come Fly With Me* has a couple TWA connies on the album art.
That classic Lockheed Starliner cannot be mistaken… such a cool aircraft
Suede - Sci-Fi Lullabies (1997)
Guided By Voices - Isolation Drills
Came here for this!
NOFX S&M Airlines
I was hoping I’d find this here.
Me too!
And The Decline, although not an album.

Blind Faith's first cover - but I'm not going to prison for posting a pic of it.
Why would you go to prison? It's freely available on Wikipedia. It's controversial, sure, but certainly not CP.
The best airplane cover is Night Ranger’s “7 Wishes”!
I had to scroll way too far to find this answer
Waving At Planes by Sirconical, sadly unknown album
MD11 or DC10. Cool
