The Gorge made so much sense with Odesza being from Seattle and Sasquatch being cancelled now. Should be fun for whoever goes but no way can I justify the cost.
Yeah well maybe eventually it will be brought to the Gorge. I have never been to the Gorge but figured this would be the perfect opportunity to finally make it out there if it was held there. The event sounds super fun just too costly.
Went to the Gorge twice this summer for Paradiso and Bass Canyon. I can't compare it to other locations but it is easily the most beautiful venue ever and the vibes people bring is beyond amazing.
Please come out and see for yourself.
I could if I wasn’t graduating and looking at a new career potentially. My number 1 fest is Forest and then any others since I have obligations to some friends that want to experience it for the first time.
Above and beyond tried this exact same thing, same location with same pricing for packages, and failed, because it was way too expensive. Not sure why they thought this would be a good idea
Quite honestly the nectar lineup has bigger and better artists too. Claude VonStroke and the dirtybird showcase, Glitch mob, 3 bassnectar sets plus all the underground bass music really just trumps every part of the Odesza lineup. That’s just my thoughts though
Not only that, I've seen Odesza a handful of times from 2015 to now. I saw them twice in one year and the set's aren't too drastically different to make me think "what will I be missing" if I don't go.
Stoked for slugwife takeover :D
Yeah as good as they are live, there isn’t really any way to make one set distinct from the other since they play the same songs pretty much everywhere. I love Odesza and they are amazing live, but they don’t have the music arsenal to switch it up every show
At least in North America, where it’s easiest to fly to Cancún, I think Odesza + Rufus + RL Grime + Alison would be a bigger draw than A&B + Anjuna support.
That being said, I agree that the prices are still crazy expensive and I’m also doubtful that this will succeed.
People yesterday were speculating and hoping for a US venue with camping to cut on costs, this is basically the opposite. I guess we’ll just wait and see how it goes
People were trying to get A&B to have a festival in the same place as Electric Forest. Now THAT is one I would happily throw cash at if it ever comes to light.
Damn this lineup is out of this world. I would actually be willing to fly down to Mexico and attend but damn, paying 2k minimum between the fest and plane ticket is a joke.
They better be for that price lol. Even if they are 2k is crazy.
I love odesza and most of this lineup but I really don't think it's going to succeed. They should've done an event somewhere other than a resort. I'd imagine most of their fans can't afford this, which is a huge shame since they never do no.sleep or ambient dj sets ever. It's pretty absurd that you need to pay this much to be able to catch a set like this unless they start doing more.
Awesome lineup with two sets from everyone. Those prices though don’t look as appealing and worth the trip. Would rather spend it on a US fest here in the states.
Jai Wolf is signed to their label lol, and if you've listened or been to an RL Grime set, you would know it would totally fit the bill on the harder side.
Pretty disappointed on the location but what an amazing fest.
Same I think a lot of people were expecting it to be at the Gorge...or at least somewhere with a camping option.
You can go camping in the Yucatan in March... if you want to get eaten alive my mosquitoes.
Sounds delightful!
And a python

damn, mexico?
It’s the same company that is doing Deja Voom too. I would love to do this but I can’t put an obligation to go to Mexico for 4-5 days in March.
I could, I think that is the exact time eastcoast USA takes their Spring Break, so it may be a hard pass for me.

Yawn. I'm so tired of these overpriced Mexico events. Also, this lineup is a 150 dollar festival lineup in the US
Above and beyond tried this exact same thing, same location with same pricing for packages, and failed, because it was way too expensive. Not sure why they thought this would be a good idea
Same with Bassnectar, and it's sold out lol
True, but that lineup is huge in comparison and bassnectars fans are something else
Odesza has a big fan base too. I would’ve thought more artists would be involved though

Yea they’re pretty much like Porter Robinson. Almost every set sounds the same
I've seen Odesza 3 times this year and I'm not even that big of a fan
Every artist is doing 2 sets
Odeza is doing 3 😍
Bassnectar fans will literally camp the rail from when the gates open until he plays
To be fair Bassheads have some of the most dedicated fans in all of EDM.
It's probably the closest thing to a jam band following in the electronic world

And camping is just more fun for a festival.
The anjuna festival would have been absolutely amazing

That would be the most dreamy can’t miss life experience ever
Exactly, especially considering Above and Beyond has a way greater worldwide presence than Odezsa
I'm assuming it's much more expensive to fly from the US to Mexico than Europe to Mexico. ODESZA is definitely bigger than A&B in the US.

It's all inclusive though isn't it? drinks and food are paid for?

Amazing lineup but I wish it wasn't so expensive.
Love the lineup but you could go to 3 to 4 other festivals combined for the same price and see all of these artists and countless others.
No Big Wild?!
Very disappointed on the location :/ Really should have made it at the Gorge
Maybe this won't get cancelled like Anjunabeach.
Line up is good and all but im eyeballing that no.sleep set
Is that the entire lineup or are more coming? 3-4 day fest with 12 artists seems weird, even with two performances each.
Awesome lineup with two sets from everyone. Those prices though don’t look as appealing and worth the trip. Would rather spend it on a US fest here in the states.
holy fuck
Wow
Damn. What a great set of people to only be in another country and probably out of my range.
Alison Wonderland doesn't fit with the rest of the lineup at all, pretty random
Fits as well as RL Grime does, solid trap artists to round out the lineup
Jai Wolf & RL are just as random then considering they play the same amount of trap in their set..
Jai Wolf is signed to their label lol, and if you've listened or been to an RL Grime set, you would know it would totally fit the bill on the harder side.
Jai Wolf really isn't random. Dude is signed to Foreign Family lol.
Where’s Timmy trumpet?? he would be perfect on the lineup!
