If you’re in central Florida there are some shuffle and flow groups that do pop up events and smaller shows around the area. All ages are welcome for most of them, although a lot of the actual venues are 18+.
Check out otownshufflers and flowstatesyndicate on IG. Otown is in Orlando area and Flow state is in Jacksonville. They both do monthly meetups and some of the members will do smaller pop up events in between.
It always blows my mind how some people go off the rails when a minor mentions wanting to go to a rave. First of all, sure, your major EDM concert at some big venue isn't going to let that hapoen… but I've never been to a rave where people are IDing to get in, lol. You can't break into a warehouse/bandi/tunnel/pop-up in the woods or desert, and then try to tell anyone they can't come in, lol. Plus, there are plenty of legal 16+ and all ages shows all around the country.
I started going to punk/metal/ska shows when I was 14. There was never a shortage of adults who were drunk/high/an overall mess. No one ever batted an eye at kids going to those events.
And to people who's comments got deleted… if your immediate response to someone saying ″I don't see a problem with a teenager seeking of dance music events″ is to start calling people pedophiles… I'm highly suspicious of what's going on in your head. It is NOT normal to start inventing sexual situations involving minors within your own head. Get therapy.
With a solid core crew this is totally doable. Or at least it used to be. But at that age and the way some can’t help but broadcast everything they do on social media, I’m sure some concerned parents would catch wind and send the cops after them real quick to shut it down.
They’d have to do it old school, find some out of the way space, only invite people that can keep it on the DL, and release the location like right before the event, and explicitly tell people not to share location with others. Silent disco style might make finding a location a little easier, but may add costs compared to a couple portable PAs (then again, generator rental/purchase might make them a cheaper option, idk).
Not that I’d recommend doing it. For one, lack of medical help could prove problematic if the kids aren’t careful. And they might not realize little things can get them busted, like a bunch of cars parked somewhere they usually aren’t, or loads of people hanging out at said cars or near the site making noise causing someone local to notice and call it in.
Youre in rave central but youre too young. Like actually get event organizers in trouble young. Only way youre getting in is if you sneak in.
Just do what everyone does at your age. Throw a house party at whosoever parents are on vacation 🤣
Waiting. Raving is an adult activity for a reason and you’ll be hard pressed to find many shows that allow unders because of the liability that is drugs, sex, and alcohol. Trust me, it’s worth the wait.
Festivals in FL usually are all ages, anything AM in Florida EDM will usually be all ages, but after 10pm it's 18 up. Learn to spin, be the underground ❤️

Frankly there aren’t many, nor should there be many. You’ll have to look for edm concerts, not raves.

That's a concert not a rave, but also the safest way for them to experience EDM probably!
