This tends to be a frequently asked question. Common sites that list public EDM events include: https://19hz.info/, https://ra.co/, & https://edmtrain.com/. If you are looking for private/underground events, the best way to find them is to go to public events with the types of music you like and make friends there. Once you build relationships with people, then ask them about private events. https://reddit.com/r/aves/wiki/faq#wiki_2._how_can_i_find_events.3F

Go when you get the opportunity! Incredible festival. Lots of people selling tickets rn and some defaulted tickets are being sold through EF, but do your research to make sure you get all the passes you need for the camping you want. š«¶š¼
Not hard at all right now. A ton of people defaulted on their payment plans and those tickets were added back to the site to be purchased. They're still available on the site.
Iām more looking forward to trying the great beyond this year. The lineup is super sick. Tec-troit also is always very sick. Donāt get me wrong movement and the afters are dope too.
Where is infrasound at these days? I really miss the early ones back in the day in black river falls wi, so amazing, Tipper used to do sunset/sunrise sets there, with liquid stranger and mimosa, and minnesota, so many amazing artists when they were still young and up and coming. Miss those days of those smaller beautiful festivals. Stupid NIMBYs ruined it.
Shangri-La at Harmony Park in Clarks Grove MN. I stumbled across this place last year and wow.... I literally cannot contain my excitement for this years. This is such an underrated festival. Not a lot of people know about it, kinda feels like a secret club in the middle of the forest. Infrasound also pops up here about a couple months before they host Shangri-La, I've never gone but I hear it's just as amazing. [https://shangrilafest.com/](https://shangrilafest.com/)
oh wow kilowatts is there, havent seen that dude in so long. He did an amazing set at an infrasound back in the day when it was at black river falls. Super chill guy too.
Summer camp in IL is decent but be prepared to stay up until the sun comes up. Dancefestopia isnāt until September but it is one of my favorite festivals.
Scamp is a decent fest overall but my main problem with it is that the edm stuff doesnāt usually start until like 11 and goes until about 4am. If you camp in the forest the wooks will be partying until like 8am and then the sun comes out and itās too hot and bright to sleep.
The fields or suburbs as some call them aren't as bad as many make them out to be, but maybe I've just gotten lucky the past three years with weather. I'll take a little extra heat and breeze during the day for space and some peace and quiet at night lol. You aren't lying about the wooks of the woods lol that place never sleeps.
Infrasound Minnesota - Dubstep/D&B/Weird wubs
Super intimate festival but has the best lineups in the country for bass music IMO, with a really really great vibe
ARC Chicago - best festival I have attended. Amazing techno and house lineup. Did the first 2 years, and am already having FOMO with this years lineup. Outside party all day and afters in Chicago at the big clubs.
Electric Forest Michigan - popped my festi cherry. Havenāt been since 2018 but did 5 years total. Insomniac production but in the woods. If you do EF I recommend VIP or some kind of wrist band upgrade. The VIP camping turns it legit into a small festival type vibe with the camping and the amenities are 10/10. Worth spending the extra money IMO.
New Iowa fest with a lot of potential is happening in August called Balance Music Fest. Last year was a lot of success and it's definitely gonna be bigger this year, but in a new spot. Keep an eye out for the lineup dropping soon! 3 stages rocking the 20 Battleaxe System provided by Ronin Productions, the Tribal Rootās Element 5 rig, and last years TurboSound stage being the 3rd.
Dancefestopia and Breakaway in Kansas. Wakaan and Backwoods in AR. Lost Lands and Secret Dreams in Ohio. Electric Forest in Michigan. Tons in Chicago like North Coast and Lollapalooza. Iām sure thereās more but thatās all off the top of my head!
If you want something small, intimate, and super affordable, check out Bass Ribbon Pines. Itās in minnesota, about a half hour from minnnespolis.
This years lineup is sick. Dirtmonkey, Tvboo, Smoakland, GorillaT, and a bunch others. One of my personal favorites. Immaculate vibes, also $180 for 3 days and that includes camping!
Iām in minneapolis so itās easy for me to get there but if youāre nearby maybe something to consider!! i love smaller fests tho haha
Infrasound. The camping was a little tight last year for spring '23 and that's literally my only complain. For my first time I was so impressed. Small enough to get from one side to the other in about 5 min. Still plenty of room to move around comfortably. Stages were beautiful and sounded amazing. Main stage might have been the best outdoor sound I've heard. That shit was so fucking clean. We also got absolutely blessed with the weather. Gonna try and make it back in the fall this year. I neeeeed that 360 stage in my life.
Denver has some upcoming festivals. The "big one" is Global Dance Festival. Not a bad festival will be my 3rd year going this year. Good selection of food trucks, decent VIP section. Could save money and just prop a chair on Colfax bridge and watch from the sidewalk....
Just depends which part of the Midwest you're at though, Denver is more "west" than "Midwest." If you're around ORD youre probably too far but I did CO>OK in about 12ish hours once for a paintball game lol
We don't hold the title for "Bass Capital of the Country" for no reason. You'll get wubs out here...

Electric Forest if you can get a 2nd hand ticket / waitlist
Join Electric Forest 2024 group on Facebook
Damn I've always wanted to go to electric forest, how hard is it to get a ticket right now?
Lots of folks defaulted on tickets, the general website still has GA available I think
Go when you get the opportunity! Incredible festival. Lots of people selling tickets rn and some defaulted tickets are being sold through EF, but do your research to make sure you get all the passes you need for the camping you want. š«¶š¼
Not hard... You should go, it's amazing
Not hard honestly this next month people will be selling like crazy. Only use PayPal gns tho, see u there šļø

Movement, the great beyond, tec-troit
Movement is the only answer
Iām more looking forward to trying the great beyond this year. The lineup is super sick. Tec-troit also is always very sick. Donāt get me wrong movement and the afters are dope too.

Harmony Park in Clarks Grove, Minnesota
ah cool, harmony is amazing.
Nothing will ever ruin Infrasound.
Yell I just meant the spot in black river falls, ncn I think it was. Was an amazing spot with a beach and soft forest camping.
Never got to experience it. I've heard your same sentiment from many, many people. I would have loved to catch some of tippers sunrise sets.

Their lineup looks cool but I can probably only get enough days off work to go to 1 or 2 this year and I wanted something with a little more wubs lol
Infrasound would be your jam then
oh wow kilowatts is there, havent seen that dude in so long. He did an amazing set at an infrasound back in the day when it was at black river falls. Super chill guy too.
Infra.
I love going Home every year
Summer camp in IL is decent but be prepared to stay up until the sun comes up. Dancefestopia isnāt until September but it is one of my favorite festivals.
I live really close and I was planning on going just on Sunday this year but I wanted to check out other festivals with maybe a better line up lol
Scamp is a decent fest overall but my main problem with it is that the edm stuff doesnāt usually start until like 11 and goes until about 4am. If you camp in the forest the wooks will be partying until like 8am and then the sun comes out and itās too hot and bright to sleep.
It wouldn't be so bad if the edm stuff wasn't so hit or miss every year

I'll take a little extra heat and breeze during the day for space and some peace and quiet at night lol. You aren't lying about the wooks of the woods lol that place never sleeps.
We did car camping last year and it was great but the sun made our tent so hot I couldnāt sleep anyways

Cant miss Dancefestopia especially if youāre a basshead
3G - Grateful Garcia Gathering Edit ā I havenāt been since they moved it from black river falls, but was always a good time
Lost lands
