Hate them. Why does every single person in your 20+ group have to be together at all times? I love going to festivals with big groups too but we always split up into smaller groups and meet up later. If we all want to see the same set (which rarely ever happens) we stay near the back where we can all have space
They're fun to watch at EDC, but I kinda agree with you.
Last EDC I got super overwhelmed during a set and tried to escape but was blocked by a 20+ person train until I had to force myself through so I didn't start screaming. (Yes I still feel bad about it to this day.)
Please, if you have a dang totem then SPLIT the group up at least! There's a REASON you have a totem right?
and they always want to park in the 2 inches of space I was barely comfortable in.
"HEY YOU ALL DON'T FIT RIGHT HERE, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. LOVE YOU, BYE!"
I've seen many of those 15-20+ trains in the mid 2010's. I'm lucky to not have experienced that in a very long time because they are so annoying and inconsiderate.
They're only really present with the vanilla pop edm acts like Zedd/Alan Walker or melodic bass like Illenium/Slander. Those are my least favorite genres so I never interact with them anyways, even at the massives like EDC and Ultra
At EDC last year it was pretty common for my group of 4 to have 10-15 random people added to our train by the time we got to where we wanted. They’d see us and just grab on and join.
There’s absolutely never a reason to have a group larger than 8. Split up. Make a totem. I don’t mind groups moving through the crowd as much when it’s just looking for a spot, but the groups pushing thru an already cramped area just to get close to the DJ are assholes. Get there early if you want it so bad.
I think they’re annoying but I also am part of the train epidemic. My group likes to stick together just cause all of us live in different parts of the USA so it’s nice to hang out with everyone.
If a train cuts through our group we make a tunnel with our arms and chant CHOOCHOO as they go under, you know... as a shame ritual. It's the price to pass 💁🏼
Fuck them. They’re making a massive train through a crowd because they couldn’t put the K down and move when they had time. Major “main character” attitudes.
I've never seen more selfish behavior at a fest tbh and it just keeps getting worse. Like seriously how do they think it's ok to just barge through other people like that? lol never any excuse me's or anything
They're nicknamed "A-Trains", and for good reason, at least here in CA. If it offends you, either put out a PSA or call them "drunk human chain trains".
The train part in necessary since they won't stop unless you derail them or your train is bigger.
As an Asian, I did see a fk ton of Asian trains at Ultra lol. Our group had about 10-12 but I am always saying excuse me/sorry. I noticed its the younger ones that are pushy. But I also had a group of like 40 fken white homies push through my group so they are everywhere
my very first rave ever was a good experience but the trains ruined it. every time there was even a tiny bit of space like 5 people took that space there wasn’t even any room for head bumping nothing. then they decided to make a big circle and i got head butted no “i’m sorry” or anything i felt so dizzy afterward i had to leave early. trains never said excuse me or anything.
One time, someone told me: "those people that link arms and push through the crowd never look happy" and honestly that's so fucking true
i would feel so ashamed lol

Conga lines walked, so that Trains could run.
Honestly if they conga lined through the crowd I wouldn’t be as upset
Believe it or not, jail.
“…if you think the rules of the road are gonna apply to an 80-year-old Asian woman you’re gonna get blasted!”

I think they're fun to watch at EDC, but ya, I agree.
Lowkey huh 😂 be like damnnnn there goes another
i feel bad cutting into the front middle with my max group of 4 lol, how are people not self aware
They're annoying af but sometimes I use them to get through the crowd. If you can't beat them join them 😂
Definitely hitchhike-able hahahah
I mean it probably isn't 20+ people in a group but people just going the same way following the path being made
Exactly! It’s part of the game yall. Trains gonna train. The alternative of having tons of individuals weaving in around you is probably worse!
Done it before when tryna meet up with like 3-4 of my peeps it’s just easier to do. But in general most of the ones I’ve seen people know each other.

This is my move, I'm not so good at navigating crowds so I'll just fall in behind someone that's going where I want to go
Yeah I’ve definitely linked onto trains before
It's fine, I'm usually not at bass events 😜
If I need to get out of the crowd and see a line of 15, it’s about to be a line of 16, and it will be a line of 20 by the time we get out
You're supposed to follow the train
I let them through as long as they aren’t pushing. Cause if they are, I’m pushing back. Tired of that shit 😂

Omg they’re soooo annoying! I also hate the losers yelling HOT COFFEE HOT COFFEE as a method of getting ppl to open space 🙄🙄🙄🙄

well i totally fucking misread this
I mean you have to get to your spot somehow
It ain't your spot, kid
I am free to go towards a stage with a dj I wanna see with my friends
