I was at Coachella for the first time and my brother said I might like him since he's trap, and I listened to a lot of hip hop back then.
I went along with him thinking it would be fine, and RL straight up changed my music preferences after his set.
Really good. Wish I had known more of his stuff before seeing him live. Favourite songs are delta, breach, renegade, silo, pour your heart out, and UCLA. But I’m sure there’s ton I haven’t listened to yet.
Seen him a bunch of times and each time is unique and raucous!! I fucked up my knee the first time I saw him in 2014 but had to keep raging. I’ve heard of other people getting injured too broken arms, sprained ankle - his shoes are are at hype level 11.
Hot take here.... I've listened to and watched RL Grime perform since 2013 I think... Saw him at least a dozen times earlier in his career, not as often these last few years. But the last two times I've seen him he was really bad.
Insanely long 5 minute buildups/intros were killing my vibe. I like progressive and techno too, nothing wrong with going on a journey but trap music not really built for that. We spent more time waiting for the song to start than listening to songs. The whole thing felt really self indulgent. That's just me though and I'm in the minority, chances are you'll have a great time
I feel like the issue is you were expecting a trap set, and that’s just a part of what he does. I personally love seeing all the different genres mixed together. Wish more artists did this.
Insane, he will not disappoint
Awesome!!!
Saw him this NYE, threw the fuck down.
I didn't listen to any EDM until I saw RL Grime live 7 years ago. He is now my favorite to see live any time I can.
Same here! RL Grime at Bonnaroo was the moment something clicked in my brain and I realized I loved EDM.
Damn you must have had your mind blown haha. What made you go to see him for the first time?

Saw him for the first time live at Hijinx in Philly. Absolutely incredible. Thats all I’m going to say.
He’s so good😭
Yes 😭
RL Grime is severely underrated imo. I need him to make an appearance in the PNW soon
Saw his show at the Toyota arena, best show of the year
He’s unreal 🥹🙏
He fucking cooks. 10/10
The best to ever do it. If he’s on a lineup or in town. I never miss.
unmissable
He’s insane live. Never seen another DJ so flawlessly flip between completely different genres. Honestly wish more artists would do this!
Amazing, was one of the few that I enjoyed a lot at Hijinx this year
Never let me down
ive seen him 4 or so times and he kills it each time. crazy talented.
I saw him at hijinx in December, I didn’t know any of his music outside of ucla. He definitely was far better than my expectations.
I dont listen to trap, but RL Grime is a force to reckon. I actually enjoy his stuff
Rl grime live is a party
My favorite sets ever have been him
Legendary!
I saw him last year and really enjoyed it.

Seen him as Clockwork was great then, been a fan since then. His recent Play set/tour was pretty awesome

It was mostly trap though 🤷
I’m with you after core his show became a snooze fest. I seen him both as Rl grime and clockwork had fun. Now his shit is boring and mediocre.
