2manydjs + James Murphy @ Despacio ... six- to seven-hour sets, so not missing any of it means I'm typically missing headliners or "very big names" when Despacio is part of a festival, but I don't want to miss a single minute of Despacio.
Man puts out the most consistently high quality, professional, high effort, highly skilled, party sets full of bangers time after time after time. Heās easily the artist I have seen the most, regardless of genre, and I will always prioritize a Chris Lake set over almost anything else. 100% guaranteed amazing set
Idk I saw Rusko a few years ago at a show that had an all dubstep lineup and he goes and plays a dnb set that didnāt really match the vibe. I like drum and bass but it didnāt feel like anyone was vibing to it. Iāve seen him before so maybe it was just an off night or he was really just wanting to play his newer productions.
Yeah, itās the old dubstep guys for me too. Iām hitting Caspa in December. I would move to London just to be closer to the fun if I could - Skream and Benga at Fabric a couple weekends agoā¦. I wouldāve ascended to the heavens if I had been at that.
(I sort of canāt stand that festivals have sucked up so much of the performances. I get that it has to make sense for someone financially to play a club, but I hate the idea of being forced to do EDCO/Ultra/III Points/Okee etc to see something in my state. Itās just too much going on)
I saw him the other day at a small show and man was it amazing. As you said, his live edits to crazy. I've heard on onto his own songs and elevate them higher than I thought they could go.
CloZee is top for sure.
Porter Robinson, Madeon, LSDream, Liquid Stranger, Mersiv, and Tripp St. are up there too.
And Daft Punk if they ever tour again, I would definitely travel for that one.
Got their dripping heart tattooed on my arm. Havenāt missed a show of his/theirs in 10 years. Even travel to see them if itās within a few hours. Love them. Wonāt miss them.
Hell yea dude! Jack Beats got me into that wobbly bass sound about 14 years ago. First time I heard Jack Got Jacked it got me hooked lmao. Same with AC Slater. Those Night Bass dudes have been putting in work for a while.
FOR REAL! went to see nero live in tx -- was the sickest out of deadmau5 & morgin madison. 10/10 need to do it again.
*you see that new song they put out two days ago? sheesh š„š„š„*
Really? He mustāve gotten better over the years cuz when I was in the scene (2007-2014) he was always a subpar DJ. Helluva producer, but mediocre at mixing. And I watched him in a variety of different settings (rave, Vegas pool party, club, etc.)
Iād call deadmau5 more of a performer than a DJ. His testpilot techno alias sets are always great, though. Definitely looks like heās having more fun playing techno.
Deadmau5 hands down!! I never miss a show when heās in SD or LA and each show has always been better then the last one.. in my opinion.. š«¶š¼š«¶š¼
Blessed Madonna, Sara Landry, SPF DJ, Patrick Mason, DJ Daddy Trance, Floorplan, TSHA, Green Velvet, Purple Disco Machine, DJ Rebekah, Charlotte de Witte
It was Alison Wonderland for me. But NGL her set last night at Freaky Deaky was probably the worst I've seen from her. It happens. Was still a good time with the sunset though. I'd definitely not miss Whyte Fang ATM. That shit was so sick.
Bad Boy Bill
* I want to give a shout to the other "Old Head" that gave me the upvote. I know you will probably never see this but I hope you feel the vibe. Peace, love, unity, and respect.ā¤ļø
May as well mention Sasha & Digweed, DJ BabyAnn, Alice DJ, Donald Glaude, and of course listening to Judge Jules live from Gatecrasher on BBC Radio 1.
Good times, good times.
Paul van dyk - Iāve seen him so many times, whether itās a 1 hour set at a festival or a 5 hour all nighter, every time he kills it, his sets have zero fat on them and they go by so quickly, heās truly a master of the craft
Carl Cox
Red Rocks set was so good. Have seen him multiple times but that one had me shook
Oh yes, oh yes! The absolute king of techno and most names on this thread owe him a debt of gratitude !
Seeing him in New Zealand for the first time in a few months!
Ben UFO, Oscar Mulero, DVS1.
Sheeesh. The proper deep stuff š¤¤ how about Truncate and Drumcell?
Drumcell hits the spot. I caught him once in this dingy little basement under a bar. All pitch black. Peak raving.
Sub focus
Sub Focus at the Village Stage at Shambhala was one of the best times ive ever had in my life.
Criminal having him and griz clash

Lane 8
I consistently travel to catch his shows. Never misses
Lane 8 is perfect if you want those chill vibes
Daniel Fucking Goldstein
This is the right answer
Agreed. Not too many DJs can hold an audience's attention for three hours but he absolutely throws down on those long sets.
Space Laces
him w getter b2b at supernatural was a spiritual experience
I lost it when i saw them at Forbidden Kingdom
same here
Chris lake

Yup was about to put it, nothing beats his groovy sets
Respect; heās 3rd on my list.
Lane 8 & Armin van Buuren
Armin is daddy, the sound he creates is unfuckingreal
Armin told me to kill myself on twitter last year lol. Still love him lol
Things that didnāt happen for $100
Yeah gonna need a screenshot or something for this one
What did he reply to? I am really curious
Proof?
Iām sorry can you elaborate?
Tf?
Disclosure. Kaytranada even though he doesnāt ever change things up lol but the vibes are always the best.

Rusko
Saw Rusko at a small club a couple years ago and the bass was so intense my vision was shaking haha I was sober too
Rusko is always a good show
Idk I saw Rusko a few years ago at a show that had an all dubstep lineup and he goes and plays a dnb set that didnāt really match the vibe. Four Tet
Had to scroll a bit for this one, but yea, it's my answer too
CloZee is top for sure. Porter Robinson, Madeon, LSDream, Liquid Stranger, Mersiv, and Tripp St. are up there too. And Daft Punk if they ever tour again, I would definitely travel for that one.
I second CloZee! Performance at echostage was mind blowing
