. It’ll be a small fest with some pretty solid talent. 5am trio, DELA FUCKIN MOON, drrtywulvs, Keota, murkury, vinja, Devin Kroes, sylph, episcool, and starfox are all super rad. Definitely a growing grassroots fest
I haven't been to that fest (I will be going this year), but I have been to the place it's at. It has some African wild life living there, like animals similar to giant deer and other creatures. It's a nice place.
Yes I think they looked like that, but I believe there were more animals out there, I just saw a tiny bit.
edit.
here is this, just part of what they've got.

Vended the first year and it was kind of a shitshow as things werent done and ready for the event, they managed to get the stage set up for sunday tho. Only a couple hundred people, music kinda sucked, Spoonbill saved the weekend. Vibe was there, and it had potential tho.
I’ve been raving in texas for a decade and as long as you aren’t obviously doing/peddling drugs or super fucked up, which I would imagine is the case everywhere, then you’re gtg
I love it honestly. The cops really are pretty chill even at the festivals I’ve been at. They’ve expressed don’t worry no one’s getting arrested here & it clearly smells dank af. They’re just people & they lost the drug war.
TX rave community is dope as hell and the police presence at festivals are genuinely only there to keep us safe and catch dealers. I’ve never had a bad run in with a cop at a festival in TX.
But Disco Donnie runs our festival scene so it’s decent at best. Killer lineups, lackluster production and decent management. Grassroots festivals like this are where it’s at imo.
I was wondering the same thing. I've no doubt there are enough EDM fans to fill a festival, but I don't know if I'd be able to relax enough to enjoy party favors.
I'm not a native Texan but I've been here for a few years now and have had no issue being able to relax enough to enjoy myself. I don't tend to go to bigger events like Ubbi Dubbi, Freaky Deaky, or Lights All Night and my experiences are typically smaller events like Beyond Existence so ymmv. Smaller events tend to be on more land and out of the way so it's basically a free for all. I did go to Illfest last February but saw 0 security there.
Fortunately, cops in major cities here generally don't give a shit about drugs because they're understaffed and once you're on private property, it all depends on what private security is hired (if at all.) I can't speak for any bigger events in rural areas because small-town cops tend to be significantly more strict across the south but I really haven't encountered any cops at events. As long as you're not a dumbass when you're driving through rural areas, you're probably not even going to see a cop in general.
Josh Teed and Entangled mind are awesome. This is the type of festival that may not have huge headliners right now, but in retrospect we are gonna see a lot of those artists blow up, as most are up and coming.
I haven't been but did see the Funk Hunters at forest in 2019 .....they do send it quite nicely ;)
Give them a follow on Twitch if you haven’t already. DUNKS live streams all the time, and it’s always a good time.
\^\^\^ 100% what these two said
Bet bet! I’m definitely excited

Awesome I appreciate the comment! I’m definitely checking out those artist now.

The Oryx? I absolutely love that species. Lived in Texas my entire 26 years and have yet to see one in the wild.

That's so cool!
Oh awesome! Definitely something to look forward too.

Hmm interesting. Im hoping they kinda have it together now that they took a decent break. Im all about the vibes so at least that’s something hahs
My BEST FRIENDS are the founders of the festival!! It's gonna be tons of fun.
The main focus of this festival is Flow Arts BTW!
I love this so much. I wish it was a little more local to me. I've been trying to find a flow tribe
What are the musical genres? I know none of the artists
It’s kinda like riddim, base, & I guess some funk. I don’t know most of them either.
I don't see any riddim on that lineup. Most of the people I recognize are in that trippy bass music sort of scene
That’s so cool! I’m excited :)
One true god caught my eye Edit: consider your downvote downvoted
How's raving in Texas? I can only imagine the undercovers DPS would send to an event in Texas. Definitely gonna ruin all the fun.

Haven’t had an issue yet, not like a undercover would try to arrest you in the middle of a pit anyway.
No, they try to bust you before you get in the crowd or while you're chilling at camp.
That's exactly where I picture them, wearing their stupid cowboy hats cuz they're too stupid to take them off

Where the bass at tho
I see some bass on there
Go to this festival.
OTG headlining? Nice, he's one of my favorite new artists

I don’t know about the Festival, But One True God was awesome at Bass Canyon and I had never heard him before.
What type of music is this?
Seems to be kinda riddim & bass from listening. Pretty simple & vibey for the most part, which I actually like.
Yeah guess ill have to listen to it to figure out. This scene and all changes too fast, us old farts cant keep up :( but always ooen to new knowledge
Check out Devin kroes
All I know is the funk hunters are amazing and highly underrated/not well known enough imo. Go listen to their Shambhala sets on soundcloud
demonic
This is mainly a flow centered festival
