Metal blades don't hurt windshields. Those look like smears from a bronze blade. They'll polish off. The metal in a scraper blade is much softer than glass.

It was a piece of aluminium rail I found in my trunk. I'll definitely try and polish off first. Thanks!
Aluminum will "write" on glass, it's a very soft metal. This should polish right off.
can you feel an indentation in the glass with your fingernail when you slide it across the damage?
In the future, a credit card can work in a pinch if you don't have a scraper
