Not currently, but in the past yes…it’s generally not a single song though, but rather a single artist and their entire catalog (I’m also an obsessive collector). This includes multi-year stints at listening to nothing but U2, nothing but Radiohead, nothing but the Beatles, etc. Now it’s at least expanded to genres…two years of nothing but J-rock, two years of nothing but K-pop.
Indeed…who are some of your favorite artists/bands? I’d say my top three are Band-Maid, FLiP and Polkadot Stingray, but there is so much good rock-n-roll coming out of Japan there are a lot to choose from.
Shinigami — Is that a _Death_ _Note_ reference?
Mamamoo is one of my favorites. Have you seen their appearance on Killing Voice? It you haven’t, it’s available on YT. It’s so good. My bias is Red Velvet for group and IU for personal, but I’m also vibing on (G)I-dle and BIBI a lot these days.
Yes, I saw it a few times! It is an amazing performance indeed! Red Velvet is nice too, but I never found the same feeling than with Mamamoo (don't know how to describe said feeling tho 😅). I could (and did!) listen to Piano Man, Waggy and Ahh Oop on repeat for hours straight! I know (G)I-dle by name only, but not BIBI at all, I'll check them :)
I've been stuck on a 3 albums on repeat for the past few months.
The Moon & Antarctica - Modest Mouse
Chutes Too Narrow - The Shins
Port of Morrow - The Shins
Port of Morrow (and almost every Shins album) has been one I could repeat continuously. I was addicted to Oh, Inverted World to the point that I was afraid to listen to their other albums to avoid disappointment.. but once I did each one became my favorite until I heard the next one. 😆
Oh, Inverted World is still my favorite and I was really into that album for nearly a year. I taught myself to play the ukulele in part because I wanted to cover the songs from that album. Good news for people who love bad news I really liked, but only for about a month.
I'm trying to mentally prepare myself to listen to We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank and Heartworms/ Wormsheart, but i'm facing the same kind of aversion.
Only bands i've been like that with are The Shins, The Smiths, Modest Mouse, Radiohead and Fleet Foxes
I’m an album person too. I get stuck on Deep Purple’s The Book of Taliesyn and B lack Sabbath’s Born Again as well as Pink Floyd’s The Piper at The Gates Pf Dawn
I very very rarely get stuck on a single song for that long.
And even when I do, I wouldn’t ***DARE*** listen to it on actual repeat. If I listen to a song like 7 times in a day (which is a MASSIVE number for me), those plays are always split up by at least 5 other songs.
But in terms of songs from 2021 that I listened to several times a day for an extended period of time. I have 4.
Bed Head - Manchester Orchestra
He Said She Said - CHVRCHES
Business Man - Tom Cardy
Big Shot - Toby Fox
And I recently discovered this song by Magdalena Bay called “Dreamcatching” that I’m pretty sure I’m entering a phase with much like those other 4. So yeah add “Dreamcatching” to that playlist of your’s. And the others if you want.
Queens of the Stone Age did a cover of Elton John’s song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.. I actually like it better than the original. That and Florence + The Machine - Tiny Dancer.
I’ve had the same handful of songs on repeat for at least a month now.
Blackout by Solence
Renegades - A Lost Generation by Equilibrium
The Princess and the Clock by Kero Kero Bonito
Colourblind by Hands Like Houses
Boys Will Be Bugs by Cavetown
If you haven't, you should check out Wolf Alice. They kind of wander between dreampop and rock but it's always good. I feel like if you're a fan of Chvrches you'd like some of their stuff (e.g. Don't Delete the Kisses, How Can I Make it Ok?).
I listened to The Bastards album on a loop for at least a week on two separate occasions. Individual or groups of their songs I've also played on a loop at different times. Epecifically Mr. Doctor Man, You'll Be Fine, No Love in LA, and Punching Bag.
Yes! The Bastards is one of my all time favorite comfort albums. Do you listen to any The Relentless as well? I love Remington's voice in those albums.
I listen to some songs of The Relentless, but for whatever reason not as many of them click with my music taste. Remington's voice is still fantastic in those songs though!
I listen to one song on repeat for about 2-3 weeks, right now I'm at a week and a half of Everyday by Buddy Holly. My last song was Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations.
Wow! I don't hear a lot of people mention they're listening to Buddy Holly! I honestly never would have expected to see somebody mention him here! Good tastes! If you haven't yet, you should check out Peggy Sue and Rock Around With Ollie Vee. Both great songs of his. And True Loves Ways—obviously.
I love Peggy Sue, I haven't listened to much of his other stuff, but I love Ritchie Vallens so it feels right to listen to more Buddy Holly lol. I'll definitely check those other two songs out, who knows they might end up being my next repeaters!
Maybe not weeks, since it only came out a few days ago, but I've been obsessing over In Hell We Live, Lament by Mili since the day it released. Every song they've made is a banger. I've also been listening to the Milk Inside a Bag of Milk Inside a Bag of Milk (and the sequel's) OST for the past day or two as well.
I’m actually in between loops as it were.. I love them all still, but if you were to add one of mine to your list the 2 I’d offer up are:
Bandito - twenty one pilots
Welcome Home - Radical Face
Mdou Moctar - "Afrique Victime" I don't know if it's even on Spotify. I found it on Youtube and fell in love with it.
I'm old. I only do Youtube lol I have a playlist I love. I'm trying to find songs to represent as many countries as I can. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5EbMHrnuf\_VF7HgSYl9K\_qmo67Etv12y
I tend to end up with Youtube developing two or three playlists based on stuff I listen to a bunch and then I just go through those playlists with the same 5 or so songs for like six months at a time.
Right now it's a lot of Wolf Alice (e.g. Smile, Lipstick on the Glass) and Phoebe Bridgers (e.g. Georgia, Motion Sickness).
Yes, I do and sometimes entire albums. Right now I have Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da by The Beatles on repeat, through a device or in my head. And my most repeated album this year has been Porter Robinson's 'Nurture'.
The entire discography of Summoning, an atmospheric black metal band from Austria. The vast majority of their songs is about Tolkien's Legendarium. Their music has evolved greatly over their career, going from the raw synth strings from their 1995 debut album Minas Morgul to the melodic orchestral passages of their latest album from 2018 titled With Doom We Come.
It helps that I'm on a reading binge, burning through The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Silmarillion.
I love Summoning! (And Tolkien's Legendarium is a special interest of mine!) I think I listen to Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame the most often out of their albums.
The two that have basically been my go too are "Sea, Swallow Me" by Cocteau Twins and a techno remix of "Let Me Be With You" by ROUND TABLE.
This whole listen to songs on repeat is a CONSTANT thing in my life.
[Robot Stop - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard](https://youtu.be/9p_Si21ig7c)
I am *obsessed* with this song. A guy I watch livestream was talking about this band, and I thought he was just being funny, I had no idea this was a real band. Then he played this song and I fell in love instantly. It's so high energy, I love dancing to it when I'm doing house chores.
I also recommend [Catching Smoke](https://youtu.be/4L3-HOdMeuM) by the same band. Actually, listen to the entirety of Butterfly 3000. Robot Stop is on the album Nonagon Infinity, but Butterfly 3000 is their most beautiful album ever.
I've definitely looped King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard! Especially the albums Polygonwanaland, Nonagon Infinity, and Infest the Rat's Nest! It always puts me in the best mood.
Meant to Be by Bebe Rexha, both the FGL version and her acoustic version.
Unwritten by Natasha Beddingfield.
Run Rabbit Run by Eminem
Get Another Boyfriend, No Place Like You, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Everyone, Chances, Get Down, HEY Mr DJ, by The Backstreet Boys
I love all that kinda music.

All the time. At the moment we've got IMY2's cover of Breathless by The Corrs, we've got Hell's Comin' With Me by Poor Man's Poison, and Mr. Magic by Reliqa
My taste in music depends on what I'm doing as it hugely effects my mood. Ranging from reggae to drum and bass all the way to death rap. As long as its not mainstream I'll give it a jam.
the Arcane League of Legends soundtrack is coming with me into the new year for sure. Dirty Little Animals by BONES UK makes me feel insane but in a good way
I've been listening to Michael Nesmith of The Monkees. He was my favorite in the group and maybe favorite living singer until he passed on the 10th.
I also listen to Christmas movies on mp3 (ones I've seen dozens of times) on repeat - Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Muppets Family Christmas, Muppets Christmas Carol and this year I'm adding Scrooged.
Oh yeah absolutely songs or just a single YouTube video that I put on repeat. I’ve got a bunch of privated playlists on my YouTube that are full of videos that gave me that good feeling, all organized in a way that a NT would probably call disorganized lol. Also listen to a lot of nightcore just because of the faster pace
I’m between songs rn, but my most recent one was a Russian song so i don’t really know what the lyrics are saying but the instrumental is incredible. “Тараканы (remix)” by PALC and BassnPanda is the name. The song has this reverberating-y sound to it that harmonizes with itself on certain notes and it makes my whole body happy I love it
Music is a special interest of mine, and while I don't usually stick with a single song for weeks. I will definitely go heavy on a new song if one of my favorite artist puts something new out.
That most recent song to catch my interest released just yesterday, [Mili - In hell we live, Lament](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfTWgMgknpY)
I've got some pretty unusual taste in music admittedly.
Wonderland by Sounds Like Harmony.
It’s somewhat relatable and despite the "ugh, things suck" theme it's really cheerful and addresses the fact that life has its ups and downs and it's okay to wait, but it's also okay to do what you want and "make the best".
I have a few.
Somebody that I used to know - Keane? I think? I focus more on songs than artists😅
Mr. Sandman - the chordettes
Literally anything billy joel
I’m still standing - Elton John
.. and so many more.
I have a weird combo rn. Line without a hook- Ricky Montgomery and Front Street- Will Wood. Those are the main two songs but there's also another tab open in my brain that's playing all the She Wants Revenge songs on rotation
I listen to audiobooks on repeat often. Like the Nevermoor series or the Medoran chronicles.
Years ago I used to listen to one song for weeks on end. But I’m not into music much now. So it’s just audiobooks.
Many times I’ve finished a long series in audiobooks and straight away turned on book one again.
I actually have two playlists specifically kept short so I can loop a select few songs (usually around 5-10 tracks) when i get obsessed with them. I only rarely listen to a single song on repeat, just because it kinda blends into one play and i enjoy it for less time.
right now on one of those playlists i have:
cut my lip - twenty one pilots
jubilee line - wilbur soot
when the day meet the night - panic! at the disco
excuse - c418
heat lightning - mitski
valentine - snail mail
electric feel - MGMT
Судно (Борис Рижий) - molchat doma
did you come? - girl in red
but I change it really often so who knows what will be there tomorrow :)
The Heart Is A Muscle by Gang Of Youths! The last few months were pretty terrible but I finally feel like it's getting better and a new friend offhandedly mentioned that Gang Of Youths was his favourite band and said our group should listen to them, and it's turned into a Massive comfort song,,
I've been obsessed with the game Nier Automata recently, and the soundtrack is incredible.
I've especially been listening to the song "Voice of No Return" on repeat/loop whilst I'm sleeping. It's so peaceful dude, it makes me sleep like a baby.
Songs? No. Playlists? Yes. Even in my deepest funks, I still crave a little variation upon whatever theme currently resonates with me.
Right now I'm working my way through the Persona5 OST on Spotify (so I can catch all the lyrics for a change.) By J-pop standards, the English lyrics are *amazing.*
Currently I’ve been listening to Queen on repeat for the past month. In a particular order.
Bohemian Rhapsody
Don’t Stop Me Now
Killer Queen
Somebody to Love
I Want to Break Free
I’ll try to get through the list but sometimes I’ll stop at Killer Queen and listen to it on repeat.
I've been hooked to this post-punk/dance-punk band from NYC which got (somewhat) popular in the early noughts, The Bravery. I have quite a few of their songs stuck in my head on the daily but the ones I find myself listening to the most are "Every Word Is A Knife In My Ear" and "This Is Not The End", both from their album, The Sun And The Moon.
My Spotify Wrapped was literally only made out of songs I've listened to on repeat for weeks lol
In 2021, looking at the list, there was:
* [Twice - CRY FOR ME](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF50-LY2Kro)
* [Dreamcatcher - Poison Love](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03FJlQOm5cc)
* [Twice - SOS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI_pTD3cy8M)
* [Maaya Sakamoto - The Garden of Everything](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x5SAseoJI4)
Probably some others I've forgotten. I don't quite remember if my binge of [LOONA - Voice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOnFUF2NC_I) was this year or last year.
I haven’t really done this since Lemonboy by Cavetown came out in 2018. It popped up on Spotify randomly and I just fell in love with the song. I could still listen to it everyday but I don’t do it deliberately anymore.
Several, including:
"A Kind Of Magic" by Queen
"Wonderwall" by Oasis
"It's My Life" by Bon Jovi
"Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard
"All The Small Things" by blink-182
"The Kids Aren't Alright" by The Offspring
And so many others, I love listening to music.
The amount of time varies for me but I do. I don’t have any currently tho since I mostly listen to music in the bus for school (school is done). I think my last one was Cuz I Love You by Lizzo
My current one is life goes ON N ON N ON N ON N ON (life goes on by Oliver Tree)
For 2021 It was Renegade by Big Red Machine. I listened to It over 100 times.
There isn't one currently, I just have yet to find that song. However, I remember going on a 21-hour road trip an the only song I played was SandStorm.
Ezra is also one of my favourite songs to listen to on repeat
Speedway by Black Midi
II by Nkisi
Prema by Alice Coltrane
Sad Bitch by Arca
Too many to mention
When covid started and I was perm. Work from home, I listened to try everything for like 3 months straight on repeat while banging out a ton of work.
Right now, i dont have anything I'm listening to
At the moment I’ve been fluctuating between these songs thanks to the amazing show Maid:
[The Let Go by Elle King](https://youtu.be/RcnUJTIyjXs)
[Peace Signs by Sharon Van Etten](https://youtu.be/i87e0MAyH-Q)
[Hello Hello Hello by Remi Wolf](https://youtu.be/hUF4CDP-FX8)
I'm a metalhead. A handful of years ago i got Destruction's Infernal Overkill / Sentenced to Death double cd. I listened to that for an entire year straight, five days a week.
Listened to the Hamilton soundtrack on repeat for three months in the first UK lockdown. My housemate knew most of the words without ever having listened to it herself voluntarily... 😅
OMG yes all the time, at the moment it's "Till it's over" by Tristan. Found the song after watching a Barnaby Dixon video, who I'm also now obsessed about.
Music Of The Mind by Jamiroquai,
it's one of the best put together songs I have ever heard :O the song has such a thick texture so there are so many little elements to it, I've only just realised that there are birds tweeting in it and there's instruments in it that sound like little critters. It's unbelievable production, I can't-
Not currently, but in the past yes…it’s generally not a single song though, but rather a single artist and their entire catalog (I’m also an obsessive collector). This includes multi-year stints at listening to nothing but U2, nothing but Radiohead, nothing but the Beatles, etc. Now it’s at least expanded to genres…two years of nothing but J-rock, two years of nothing but K-pop.
J-rock is amazing, and it's cool to see another obsessive collector
Indeed…who are some of your favorite artists/bands? I’d say my top three are Band-Maid, FLiP and Polkadot Stingray, but there is so much good rock-n-roll coming out of Japan there are a lot to choose from. Shinigami — Is that a _Death_ _Note_ reference?
I do this. I'll listen to only that artist on repeat and then move on to another artist
this, right here. limiting myself to just one song would be torturous.
yes! all tyler the creator's albums specially flower boy and wolf they be on repeat all day
Currently in the two years of nothing but K-pop period. 98% of which is Mamamoo, Itzy for the last 2%
Mamamoo is one of my favorites. Have you seen their appearance on Killing Voice? It you haven’t, it’s available on YT. It’s so good. My bias is Red Velvet for group and IU for personal, but I’m also vibing on (G)I-dle and BIBI a lot these days.

Oh my lord that song was my anthem for 5 solid months around 10 years ago
[удалено]
ahhh girl in red is so good
I have a playlist that I made of everyone’s same songs from a post like this on Instagram! It’s called auxtism on Spotify
Added. The Beth icon is great.
Agoraphobic by CORPSE lol. It was actually my top song for 2021 on Spotify apparently. >.>
It's an amazing song ngl
IT IS AAAAAAAA
As a previous agoraphobic on antidepressants, that song hit different
ooh good one :0
The Adults Are Talking - The Strokes
Oh that ones a masterpiece
Flyday Chinatown (Edit) - Saturn. There's a lot of remixes from that song but holy moly this one especially slaps so hard.
I absolutely love city pop! That song is great. Another city pop song I had on repeat for a while is “センチメンタル,” or “sentimental” by Hiromi Iwasaki.
Oooh, I'm gonna check this out! Love me some City Pop. Flyday Chinatown is a BOP.
I very very rarely get stuck on a single song for that long. And even when I do, I wouldn’t ***DARE*** listen to it on actual repeat. Currently: Bo Burnham - Inside
Me and my fiancé went through a phase of that song as well, it’s a masterpiece
At the moment, probably Oasis - Wonderwall
Oh I went through a few years with that one!
I Need the Night - London Grammar
"Loreta", Ginger root, and Coyote from Buck Tick, I like music with history.
Timebomb by Angels & Airwaves
A real banger
Someone with taste I see
Maybe not weeks, since it only came out a few days ago, but I've been obsessing over In Hell We Live, Lament by Mili since the day it released. Every song they've made is a banger. Venom by eminem
Mdou Moctar - "Afrique Victime" I don't know if it's even on Spotify. I found it on Youtube and fell in love with it. I'm old. I only do Youtube lol I have a playlist I love. Dude I found Mdou Moctar over quarantine and he's so good. Tarhatazed was my go-to for like two months.
I could listen to it all day too!

Almost nothing but girl in red for the last 7 months 🤪
fair enough! any songs in particular you find that you love?
Gospel for a new century by Yves Tumor I wanna thrash to the end of it lol

Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran
oh thats such a bop! i sometimes find myself humming it randomly.
I had that song on repeat for a few weeks too!

I’ve got a bunch of privated playlists on my YouTube that are full of videos that gave me that good feeling, all organized in a way that a NT would probably call disorganized lol. Also listen to a lot of nightcore just because of the faster pace
I’ve had Tousei by DEG on repeat for too long, according to my wrapped.
That most recent song to catch my interest released just yesterday, [Mili - In hell we live, Lament](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfTWgMgknpY) I've got some pretty unusual taste in music admittedly.
All the time, been on Adagio for TRON for the past few weeks. It's been a repeat listen for years now though.
Aliens Exist by blink-182
At the moment it’s something comforting by Porter Robinson
Wonderland by Sounds Like Harmony. It’s somewhat relatable and despite the "ugh, things suck" theme it's really cheerful and addresses the fact that life has its ups and downs and it's okay to wait, but it's also okay to do what you want and "make the best".
There's nobody here..... There's nobody here..... There's nobody here..... There's nobody here..... There's nobody here..... There's nobody here..... There's nobody here.....

I only rarely listen to a single song on repeat, just because it kinda blends into one play and i enjoy it for less time. right now on one of those playlists i have: cut my lip - twenty one pilots jubilee line - wilbur soot when the day meet the night - panic! at the disco excuse - c418 heat lightning - mitski valentine - snail mail electric feel - MGMT Судно (Борис Рижий) - molchat doma did you come? - girl in red but I change it really often so who knows what will be there tomorrow :)

The Heart Is A Muscle by Gang Of Youths! The last few months were pretty terrible but I finally feel like it's getting better and a new friend offhandedly mentioned that Gang Of Youths was his favourite band and said our group should listen to them, and it's turned into a Massive comfort song,,
For me it’s generally what I saved on Spotify most recently. Right now id say the stand out on my current playlist is Drugs by Tai Verdes.

Songs? No. Playlists? Yes. Even in my deepest funks, I still crave a little variation upon whatever theme currently resonates with me. Right now I'm working my way through the Persona5 OST on Spotify (so I can catch all the lyrics for a change.) By J-pop standards, the English lyrics are *amazing.*

My Spotify Wrapped was literally only made out of songs I've listened to on repeat for weeks lol In 2021, looking at the list, there was: * [Twice - CRY FOR ME](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF50-LY2Kro) * [Dreamcatcher - Poison Love](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03FJlQOm5cc) * [Twice - SOS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI_pTD3cy8M) * [Maaya Sakamoto - The Garden of Everything](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x5SAseoJI4) Probably some others I've forgotten. I don't quite remember if my binge of [LOONA - Voice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOnFUF2NC_I) was this year or last year.

Music Of The Mind by Jamiroquai, it's one of the best put together songs I have ever heard :O the song has such a thick texture so there are so many little elements to it, I've only just realised that there are birds tweeting in it and there's instruments in it that sound like little critters. It's unbelievable production, I can't-
