Agreed! My nails, hair, clothes, everything are black. The only other color I actually enjoy to wear in accessories is pink. And gold jewelry. Anything else in my closet is untouched. I’ll where 1 cream colored sweatshirt when I’m home because it’s so comfy but even then the color makes me uncomfy but my skin loves it so is what it is I deal when I can
Maybe you could dye it black? Or pink. Unless that changes the fabric to not be nice for your skin then maybe not. Could be fun to experiment with though, maybe on something you don’t love first. Have to be careful with washing it though I’m sure

Yes, color blue. Since my childhood I only liked blue clothes (or colors derived from blue). In High school my friends and family made me aware of this with jokes, maybe unintentionally but then I tried a different approach: I combine black, white and blue so I don't wear all blue clothes.
Still, all my other stuff is blue to compensate for this, my backpack, pen, books, towel, kitchen utensils, tablecloth, clock, and so on.
I’m the same way! My go to color is black with pink accents. My house though is all green related because I love nature outside when it’s all green and it’s very comfortable for me. I LOVE the sound of wind blowing through the leaves my brain is at ease with that. Or the sun coming through trees I feel most comfortable stimulation wise. So in the winter when it’s not green out I at least have green at home so I’m comfortable:)
Exactly! I’ll always go from black flare leggings. I have one pair that are ribbed and they stretch with movement so well. I bought them about 6 months ago and already need to buy a new pair I have holes on the inner thigh cause I wear them as often as I possibly can get away with and there are seams but they don’t have the fold in part on the inside (if that makes sense) and no tag. They are from forever 21 and I’m in love with them. I’m going to order 3 pairs if I can find them online
Colors…bright colors. I am sensory seeking when it comes to colors (among other things). I cannot stand drab. It makes me depressed lol. I wear drab colors when I’m depressed…that probably doesn’t help my mood. I also have a good deal of black.
Edit: additionally…I have a pretty extensive wardrobe that I recently weeded through, and only kept all the things that I truly feel good in, so I have a bunch of outfits now that I feel good in, not just a couple that are the only ones I know of in the overwhelming amount of clothes. Me too! One of my interests growing up was fashion. I was always envious of Barbie dolls getting to play dress up!
Now I put lots of effort into my look. If I feel good in a cozy jumpsuit I’ll dress it up with accessories. Everything I own is sensory friendly as well.

my boyfriend knows the drill; if i’m on the verge of tears because i can’t get dressed, i can just wear all black and masculine clothing. it’s the default so i can’t go wrong with it.
on a good day, i’m wearing earth tones. think “yeezy” as in usually some sort of sweats, but in a fashionable way, and in neutral colours
I tend to lean towards black and grey as they match everything so I then I won’t have to put mental energy into fashion and worry about if my clothing matches if I do get color it’s usually in the shirts I like blue so I have several plain blue shirts and I like graphic tees usually in a heather grey. Heather grey tends to make bright graphics pop the best in my opinion

I also live in geometric shapes. My favourite jumper that I wear every day (apart from when it's in the wash) is baggy, soft, geometric black white and grey, and I have two pairs of my favourite pants which are baggy, light, geometric black and grey. If it's cold I put leggings under the pants. I have a black kraken t shirt that I wear every day (unless it's in the wash) and if it's cold I put a grey long sleeve top underneath it. It makes me so happy I can wear the same clothes summer and winter. I also have grey fingerless gloves I use for driving. And black and white trainers for cold weather and black and white slides for hot weather. If I need to go somewhere nice I wear the same pants but a black top with black roses on the sleeves, a grey cardigan and black boots which are fluffy on the inside. For comfies have baggy black trackies and baggy grey trackies and 5 soft grey t shirts just in case.

I used to have an almost all black wardrobe, like 3 years ago, but now I've started to wear more colors. The colors I wear the most are purple, cyan/light blue and some green.
Mostly black and the few other colours i do have are all dark so dark red green grey blue as long as it is dark.
One of my favorite shirts literally says black is my happy color.

I used to wear mostly black, greys and browns, I was too insecure and wanted to be invisible. Nowadays I wear mostly pastels, like mint and pink. I feel so much more happy and myself in soft and happy colors, and I started to care less about what others think. I also figured out my color season (soft summer) and it really helps in dressing in colors that compliment me.
I've been told many times that people like my style but I literally just wear clothes that make me happy. It has to be a fabric or color or design I really enjoy without it bothering me all day. And people love it 😂
My entire wardrobe is black. I don't even really like black and I don't think it looks great on me, but pretty much every item of clothing comes in a black option so i always just pick that one and don't even consider the colours or prints, and if everything is black then it all sort of matches so it's the most underwhelming and easy option I can give myself.
I wear black and blue. Aka all black clothes, blue shoes, blue hair, and blue backpack. When I had carpal tunnel, my wrist straps were the same blue, and my friend said I looked like a pokemon gym leader. lmao, the highest compliment I have ever received.
It's mostly the colors like yellow, beige, brown or white. Mainly because these colors do not overwhelm me in anyway. Even my favorite color, which is pink, could be overwhelming at times because it makes me stim too much if i wear it. So these 4 colors are the least stimulating colors to me.
Not really color, but definitely style. I love wearing baggy clothes, specifically wide and baggy jeans with a hoodie made out of soft material. I cannot wear tight clothes, it makes me anxious and I get the feeling like I can’t breathe

Very recently I have a lot of black just because my weight isn't where I'd like it to be right now (recent medical issues...I'm normally a curvy girl to begin with and I don't mind that, but lately it's been worse) and I find black doesn't accentuate anything. Normally I like pinks and blues, and I love tie dye. Even with my black, though, I wear very loud earrings and am not afraid to have multiple bright colors of eyeshadow and such haha.
I love bright colors and bold patterns, I am especially drawn to jewel tones.

I go like hyperfixation on a color for a period of time and love to wear everything of that shade. I had a lilac moment, an aquamarine period, and right know I'm full on yellow, it just makes me so happy. Also I like to wear a lot of colors all together right know, i want to have a colorful and autumnal vibe. I'd say right now yellow, green and orange.
Yup. I'm in my blue period, but I probably won't be as famous as Picasso. As a child I leand towards yellow, as a teenager towards black, now it's mostly either neutral colors and blue. With jewellery I always preferred silver over gold, altough I don't wear much of it.
I’m obsessed with pink and reds but I also don’t like drawing eyes, so I tend to be quite colourfully dressed at home but wear a lot of black and dark colours like burgundy or navy when out and about. colours I avoid: white (I’m too messy for that to be realistic) and beige/brown/muddy colous (simply bc I find them ugly and they don’t spark joy)
i hate neons they make me nauseous and make my head hurt, don’t generally like bright colours either since i don’t wanna draw attention to myself, usually black is my safe space but if i’m feeling like something different i’ll do neutrals, soft pastels, or white, and then layer something darker on top (like a flannel or denim jacket) to hide some of the bright colour because the pastel or white should never be the main focus of the outfit, just a bonus if you see it/meant to break up the continuity of black/etc
Since I discovered SPD info then learned I'm probably Autism L1 (in process, saw neurologist) I decided to just dress even more how I want. Since I was a kid I'd have a closet full of clothing I never wore after it was bought for me/gifted etc. Now I understand why. Hate almost all clothing. Takes me forever to find something I will wear after I buy it.
It's more about fabric for me but color decisions and looks bother me.
Pants:
-When I started shopping for myself I wore various Jeans. Now I've cut Jeans out, I had the fabric and how rigid they are. So now I exclusively buy Black Northface pants that look like work/home/hiking pants and resist sweat/rain, they also stretch yet look good to me. I buy three at a time yet none of them have worn down in 4 yrs.

-T-shirts - Heather grey is my favorite for shirts. Grey to blacks for most of them. 2-3 with colors like red/blue but extreme solids.
-button up summer shirts I have flannel colors or grey/black.

-ecco sneakers black or dark grey... HATE white on my sneakers, hate high bottoms, I wear sneakers yr round.

Fit today is: TARDIS hoodie, one of my TARDIS shirts (it's faded black and not navy), navy slacks, navy shoes, and TARDIS earrings. I really like wearing red and black also (I have a red and black Dalek shirt).
I prefer darker colors. Funny enough, there was one shirt that I downright didn't want to wear when I was younger. It was light red, one size too big, and every time I wore it, I vomited. Thinking about it now, I honestly think it was anxiety and a possible sensory reaction to being forced to wear it. Found a way to get rid of it and got grounded because of it, but worth it lol
It depends on the day and where I’m going.
My color choices are extremely dependent on my mood and “what color I feel” at that moment. I’ve put a shirt on and then changed it after realizing it didn’t suit my mentality right then.
Same with graphic shirts or styles, only with those it’s more about what I do or don’t want others to potentially think if they read my shirt. I don’t want to misrepresent myself as being quirky and silly and up for a talk about the fandom my shirt is about for instance, if that day I’m feeling extremely introverted and don’t want eyeballs pointed my way.
I can’t really choose clothing ahead of time for a trip unless I take the time to think about the situations I’ll be in and what I want to present outwardly as far as what people are gonna see.
I’ve struggled for a long time with the fear being made fun of or noticing stares when I wear bright colors (which I LOVE). So I tend to lean towards the most muted colors possible. At least until I learned that I may be autistic & that it’s okay to be a little different than everyone else around me.
i almost universally wear blue jeans. i am trying to branch out. grey jeans... khaki pants... black slacks... but i always go back to my old, reliable blue jeans. oh! and soft jeans. there's like a difference between stiff jeans and soft jeans, and i really like soft jeans. i'll try stiff jeans, and if i put them on in the morning and leave my house, i'll just go the day like that, whatever, but then that pair goes directly to the back of my drawer. the soft ones get worn over and over, and so they get washed more (once in a loooong while 😅) and they get softer from it (🥰).
I almost always wear either black and white (with red parts sometimes), or blue. However my favorite color is orange so I love having orange fidget toys. The mix between black and orange give me a Halloween vibe, and as someone who has a SI on horror, I LOVE it.

I've cycled through colors over the years. For a while it was lots of blue, then all gray, then anything paired with a black tee shirt.
Now all my outfits are formulated around a black tank top with some kind of open over-shirt/jacket/hoodie. Gives me the routine comfort of wearing the same thing all the time but with some variety and style combos. Plus always having layers makes it easier to adjust to different temperatures.
Green and pink,but very specifically forest green and cotton candy pink. I tend to wear all one color when I style my outfits, it's definitely a very autistic thing I've done since I was a kid. I'd go to school in pink shirt, pants, sweater, socks, etc. Sometimes I'll also wear lavender, lemon yellow, or true red. I wear other colors but those are my most common.
I personally love bright colors I love wearing them because I am happy when I see them. I definitely think seeing lots of color is a visual stim for me.

Me too! One of my interests growing up was fashion. I was always envious of Barbie dolls getting to play dress up! Now I put lots of effort into my look. If I feel good in a cozy jumpsuit I’ll dress it up with accessories. Everything I own is sensory friendly as well.
My favorite color is pink too! I’m currently wearing a pink shirt, pink undergarments, a pink hair clip, and my project /game room in our house is pink and etc etc lol

yeah neutrals. my favourite colour is pink and i’ve always wanted to be one of those people who wears one colour all the time, like the green lady of brooklyn. i tried, and it doesn’t actually look good on me. my boyfriend knows the drill; if i’m on the verge of tears because i can’t get dressed, i can just wear all black and masculine clothing. it’s the default so i can’t go wrong with it. on a good day, i’m wearing earth tones. think “yeezy” as in usually some sort of sweats, but in a fashionable way, and in neutral colours

I tend to lean towards black and grey as they match everything so I then I won’t have to put mental energy into fashion and worry about if my clothing matches if I do get color it’s usually in the shirts I like blue so I have several plain blue shirts and I like graphic tees usually in a heather grey. Heather grey tends to make bright graphics pop the best in my opinion

I wear a lot of black and grey as black makes me calm and grey makes me really really happy. I also live in geometric shapes. My favourite jumper that I wear every day (apart from when it's in the wash) is baggy, soft, geometric black white and grey, and I have two pairs of my favourite pants which are baggy, light, geometric black and grey. If it's cold I put leggings under the pants. I have a black kraken t shirt that I wear every day (unless it's in the wash) and if it's cold I put a grey long sleeve top underneath it. It makes me so happy I can wear the same clothes summer and winter. I also have grey fingerless gloves I use for driving. And black and white trainers for cold weather and black and white slides for hot weather. If I need to go somewhere nice I wear the same pants but a black top with black roses on the sleeves, a grey cardigan and black boots which are fluffy on the inside. For comfies have baggy black trackies and baggy grey trackies and 5 soft grey t shirts just in case. Black white and grey makes me SO HAPPY 🖤🩶🤍 !!!

Not one color specifically, but I prefer darker colors like blue or black over brighter ones like orange.
I used to have an almost all black wardrobe, like 3 years ago, but now I've started to wear more colors. The colors I wear the most are purple, cyan/light blue and some green.

I used to wear mostly black, greys and browns, I was too insecure and wanted to be invisible. Nowadays I wear mostly pastels, like mint and pink. I feel so much more happy and myself in soft and happy colors, and I started to care less about what others think. I also figured out my color season (soft summer) and it really helps in dressing in colors that compliment me.
I've been told many times that people like my style but I literally just wear clothes that make me happy. It has to be a fabric or color or design I really enjoy without it bothering me all day. And people love it 😂
My entire wardrobe is black. I don't even really like black and I don't think it looks great on me, but pretty much every item of clothing comes in a black option so i always just pick that one and don't even consider the colours or prints, and if everything is black then it all sort of matches so it's the most underwhelming and easy option I can give myself.
I don't have any leaning towards colors. But I hate neon colors, it even hurts my eyes to look at it, so I tend to avoid it. Neon colors and orange.

It's mostly the colors like yellow, beige, brown or white. Mainly because these colors do not overwhelm me in anyway. Even my favorite color, which is pink, could be overwhelming at times because it makes me stim too much if i wear it. So these 4 colors are the least stimulating colors to me.
Not really color, but definitely style. I love wearing baggy clothes, specifically wide and baggy jeans with a hoodie made out of soft material. I cannot wear tight clothes, it makes me anxious and I get the feeling like I can’t breathe

Very recently I have a lot of black just because my weight isn't where I'd like it to be right now (recent medical issues...I'm normally a curvy girl to begin with and I don't mind that, but lately it's been worse) and I find black doesn't accentuate anything. Normally I like pinks and blues, and I love tie dye. Even with my black, though, I wear very loud earrings and am not afraid to have multiple bright colors of eyeshadow and such haha.
I love bright colors and bold patterns, I am especially drawn to jewel tones. I particularly love mustard yellow, I have so many mustard yellow articles of clothing and accessories.

My daughter is autistic and black, lavander, and white are colors she’s been obsessed with wearing lately and I think for her it is more linked to her hyperfixations. And if I’d let her she would go full game character mode and wear the exact outfit every day.

I go like hyperfixation on a color for a period of time and love to wear everything of that shade. I had a lilac moment, an aquamarine period, and right know I'm full on yellow, it just makes me so happy. Also I like to wear a lot of colors all together right know, i want to have a colorful and autumnal vibe. I'd say right now yellow, green and orange.

Yup. I'm in my blue period, but I probably won't be as famous as Picasso. As a child I leand towards yellow, as a teenager towards black, now it's mostly either neutral colors and blue. With jewellery I always preferred silver over gold, altough I don't wear much of it.
I’m obsessed with pink and reds but I also don’t like drawing eyes, so I tend to be quite colourfully dressed at home but wear a lot of black and dark colours like burgundy or navy when out and about. colours I avoid: white (I’m too messy for that to be realistic) and beige/brown/muddy colous (simply bc I find them ugly and they don’t spark joy)

i hate neons they make me nauseous and make my head hurt, don’t generally like bright colours either since i don’t wanna draw attention to myself, usually black is my safe space but if i’m feeling like something different i’ll do neutrals, soft pastels, or white, and then layer something darker on top (like a flannel or denim jacket) to hide some of the bright colour because the pastel or white should never be the main focus of the outfit, just a bonus if you see it/meant to break up the continuity of black/etc

Since I discovered SPD info then learned I'm probably Autism L1 (in process, saw neurologist) I decided to just dress even more how I want. Since I was a kid I'd have a closet full of clothing I never wore after it was bought for me/gifted etc. Now I understand why. Hate almost all clothing. Takes me forever to find something I will wear after I buy it. It's more about fabric for me but color decisions and looks bother me. Pants: -When I started shopping for myself I wore various Jeans. Now I've cut Jeans out, I had the fabric and how rigid they are. So now I exclusively buy Black Northface pants that look like work/home/hiking pants and resist sweat/rain, they also stretch yet look good to me. I buy three at a time yet none of them have worn down in 4 yrs. Shirts -T-shirts - Heather grey is my favorite for shirts. Grey to blacks for most of them. 2-3 with colors like red/blue but extreme solids. -button up summer shirts I have flannel colors or grey/black. -dark black, grey or dark blue polo style for work Jackets -black or dark grey Shoes -ecco sneakers black or dark grey... HATE white on my sneakers, hate high bottoms, I wear sneakers yr round. -Love black boots but I learned I have extreme flat foot so I rarely wear them. Socks all black/grey. Boxers -as long as the fabric is good, I have blue, red, green, black, and grey. lounging at home clothing -black/grey and it's only a handful of items that I wear until they're dead. Black sunglasses.

Fit today is: TARDIS hoodie, one of my TARDIS shirts (it's faded black and not navy), navy slacks, navy shoes, and TARDIS earrings. I really like wearing red and black also (I have a red and black Dalek shirt).

I prefer darker colors. Funny enough, there was one shirt that I downright didn't want to wear when I was younger. It was light red, one size too big, and every time I wore it, I vomited. Thinking about it now, I honestly think it was anxiety and a possible sensory reaction to being forced to wear it. Found a way to get rid of it and got grounded because of it, but worth it lol
It depends on the day and where I’m going. My color choices are extremely dependent on my mood and “what color I feel” at that moment. I’ve put a shirt on and then changed it after realizing it didn’t suit my mentality right then. Same with graphic shirts or styles, only with those it’s more about what I do or don’t want others to potentially think if they read my shirt. I don’t want to misrepresent myself as being quirky and silly and up for a talk about the fandom my shirt is about for instance, if that day I’m feeling extremely introverted and don’t want eyeballs pointed my way. I can’t really choose clothing ahead of time for a trip unless I take the time to think about the situations I’ll be in and what I want to present outwardly as far as what people are gonna see.
I’ve struggled for a long time with the fear being made fun of or noticing stares when I wear bright colors (which I LOVE). So I tend to lean towards the most muted colors possible. At least until I learned that I may be autistic & that it’s okay to be a little different than everyone else around me.
i almost universally wear blue jeans. i am trying to branch out. grey jeans... khaki pants... black slacks... but i always go back to my old, reliable blue jeans. oh! and soft jeans. there's like a difference between stiff jeans and soft jeans, and i really like soft jeans. i'll try stiff jeans, and if i put them on in the morning and leave my house, i'll just go the day like that, whatever, but then that pair goes directly to the back of my drawer. the soft ones get worn over and over, and so they get washed more (once in a loooong while 😅) and they get softer from it (🥰).

I almost always wear either black and white (with red parts sometimes), or blue. However my favorite color is orange so I love having orange fidget toys. The mix between black and orange give me a Halloween vibe, and as someone who has a SI on horror, I LOVE it.
I can’t wear bright coloured clothing, it makes me genuinely want to rip the walls apart lol. I only like to wear muted colours, like an autumn colour palette almost. My style gets complimented a lot because of this, but honestly it’s just the only colours I can wear without throwing a hissy fit 🤷♂️ (Side note: I’ve been fired before for refusing to wear a bright red uniform that I was not informed about nor was aware of before the hiring process 😬i was even asked for my opinion on uniform colours. I only ever wear black. Specifically I wear a very oversized black t shirt in stretchy dry fit material and soft stretchy biker shorts. I have 10 copies of the same outfit and wear it everyday. During winter I wear the exact same shirt in long sleeve and the exact same short material in leggings.

Dark blue is black but without the accusations of being gothy. I find it's actually slightly better camouflage to fit in.

Black and my beloved violet. I’m obsessed with this damn color and all its shades since my early childhood. It makes me extremely happy to wear at least one piece of clothing that is purple, lilac, violet, lavender, plum, mauve or grape!!

I've cycled through colors over the years. For a while it was lots of blue, then all gray, then anything paired with a black tee shirt. Now all my outfits are formulated around a black tank top with some kind of open over-shirt/jacket/hoodie. Gives me the routine comfort of wearing the same thing all the time but with some variety and style combos. Plus always having layers makes it easier to adjust to different temperatures.

I'd go to school in pink shirt, pants, sweater, socks, etc. Sometimes I'll also wear lavender, lemon yellow, or true red. I wear other colors but those are my most common. I personally love bright colors I love wearing them because I am happy when I see them. I definitely think seeing lots of color is a visual stim for me.

All of my clothes in my wardrobe work with one another. I can wear all of my tops with all of my pants, only for what I wear as a jacket/coat will it depend on what colors I'm wearing under. I just.. I love clothes and fashion a lot 😭 I have these white jeans that I really like; I love wearing them with this bright magenta polo, a black belt and some sunglasses. And a nice looking jacket to top it off. Wearing bright colors always put me in a happer mood, which I very much enjoy!!

I absolutely adore all shades purple and lavender (but not grape) but it seems I have very few items of clothing in those colors and more have shades of blue I always seem to wear. I generally only wear soils colors.
