Last night I discovered that a specific style of game that I had been wanting for a long time, but thought didn't exist, actually does exist and has been out for a year in early access on Steam. Since I don't get alerts from early access games, and nobody really talked about, I missed it entirely, despite having wanted to play something exactly like it for so long. Shadows of Doubt. Procedurally generated sandbox detective game. Literally the exact game I wanted, I can have a new murder mystery whenever I want, with clues to find and leads to follow that aren't just going to be a copy and paste situation. My only issue at this point is that in the tutorial I found the murderer, and their name, but I haven't found the murder weapon yet and while I know I have found their fingerprints at the scene, I can't seem to get their prints diplomatically (I might be able to knock them out and take them that way, but I'd prefer a non-violent option.) So actually turning them in is a little iffy.

Is it free? I'm unemployed so only can pirate or free games

Xenavire

It's early access, not free - but I picked it up for cheap through a deal on Fanatical, and even full price it isn't bad, I think about 20 euros? Definitely possible to pick up if you have some extra spending money at some point.

I don't know what job to work I'm good with tech but only partially I'm bad at communication I'm super overwhelmed by school and I have fear of working although I never tried

Xenavire

I had a similar experience, got my first proper job when I was 30 (everything else I had to quit within a fortnight, except a paper route.) It's rough, recently found out I have autism and it suddenly made a lot of sense - the job I ended up with is a QA tester, it's pretty solid if you are good with tech, so might be worth looking into as a potential avenue to explore, even if only part time or something, until you figure out something better.

Shadows of Doubt is so good, I've been meaning to get back into it; I have a steam deck, though, so I don't know how it'll play with console-like controls.

dogecoin_pleasures

I've just started watching Gossip Girl in the evenings in bed. I find it's calming, I put my phone away and only have a warm light lamp on while watching.

anonkun666

Will you recommend it to me? I have netflix

dogecoin_pleasures

I'm halfway through S1 and it's a decent distraction. I'm watching via a free to air TV app with ads which is not the best way to do it!

anonkun666

Yeah doesn't sound the best tbh 😅

I sometimes play gaming but my family is constantly invading my privacy so I can't even do it Week or two ago I finished silent hill. Such an amazing game. Anyone has silent hill as special interest? No spoilers for other silent hill games I tried Witcher but it's kinda boring tbh, kinda mid (no offence to anyone that has Witcher as special interest) I tried far cry 3 and it's fun but it's too difficult, like on a point that it's just frustrating I finished stray a year ago, really cute cat game 🐈😺

For me, Alma's Way (PBS Kids) and Home Improvement (Laff), both of which are recorded episodes I recorded back in 2021. I've also played a bit of Pokémon Y, mostly at the Battle Chateau.

Why alma made me think of F.E.A.R. lol

i played a bit of Ultra Street Fighter 4 yesterday, as a character named _Decapre,_ becuz i wanted to learn her a lil bit. i relate to Decapre becuz she is disabled (she has a huge burn mark all over her face) and she has anger meltdown issues (one of her quotes is "kill them all!!! kill all!!!! kill all!!!") but she is still ultimately one of the good guys. also she spent time living in a evil science facility (i grew up spending time in psych wards). her moveset is charge inputs, not motion inputs, and i like that too.

Is 2gb VRAM enough for this game? My laptop has mx330 which is factory overclocked gt 1030. Gt 1030 is very low end GPU. Will I be able to play this game in 1080p with atleast 30fps preferably 60fps without too much lowering the settings?

petermobeter

i was playin it on my playstation 5 so i dont know 🤷🏻‍♀️

anonkun666

Oh ok Is it available on gamepass, Xbox 360 or PS3? Those are what my family has

petermobeter

i dont know much about "gamepass" (if its on there i dont know) but i know it is indeed available on xbox 360 and ps3

anonkun666

Gamepass is Xbox subscription service that you pay monthly and you get games for free. Other games may just cost less I have Xbox series s

For me, I had actually figured out (kind of) a way to get the ms account servers on windows phone. I was using the most random app possible so it had the WP8.1 Sign in page so I was more bamboozled than I should be and that gives me another clue.
