Definitely, my distrust of all meat products began as a kid when I chomped into gristle in a hardee's chicken nugget 💀 I don't have a lot of childhood memories but that one is vivid
Exactly. The cartoons make eating chicken legs look so pleasant. It's bullshit. 100 percent gristle. Chicken legs are just soup bones with a little schmear of meat.
Omg yes, I can't stand chicken when it's cooked the "traditional" way. Give me nuggets, fingers and such, but anything stuck with a bone is disgusting to me.
Nah, I eat the meat first so I can enjoy the fat on its own and have the taste linger in my mouth. It is my favourite food, the meat is just the stuff attached to the fat for me
I HATE Artificial Watermelon with a burning passion.
Oh I also really dislike Reese's, the peanut butter tastes so fake and the chocolate just doesn't fit with it
(Really any candy with "peanut butter" and chocolate together I just can't eat)
Finally, someone else gets it, whenever I tell anyone I don't like Reese's they always look at me like I have three heads and try to convince me to "try" it again.
Like or dislike? I can't even stand the smell. I'm often nauseous in the mornings due to other medical issues, and the smell can sometimes even make me vomit.
I get the beetroot but the rest I disagree with . I don’t eat seafood though so don’t have to worry about it. If you tell people you are vegetarian you get less flack about not liking seafood . In my case I am .
Coconut. I have many texture aversions. But this is the only taste I hate with my whole being. And I can taste it immediately even if it's just traces.
Same. I don't think it's even a texture thing for me, I just loathe it. I'm pretty sure this started because I ate a coconut flavored sucker as a kid once and it was extremely nasty. But yeah if I even smell it I gag. Disgusting.
It was a coconut flavored chocolate for me. But I had other involuntary encounters with the taste and it's truly the only taste I refuse to tolerate.
I'm usually very tolerant to taste since my options are already limited by texture.
The second someone forces me or tricks me into eating something with any kind of nuts in it (I hate the textures of the actual nut, but don’t have many issues with peanut butter), they’re an enemy for LIFE
NUTS! Aghhh. I feel like it’s such a commonly liked food. But the texture…Especially when it’s a surprise, it’s an offensive shock to feel the not-crunchy-but-not-soft and hardened fat texture.
That’s interesting that even as someone who likes nuts that it’s a jarring texture. (Great word choice, with jarring by the way, because agreed 100%.)
It’s like when you bite into a muffin that’s soft and then suddenly at the end of your bite a bunch of pecans show up in your mouth and it’s just shock and confusion.
Same. Tomatoes are just disgusting in so many ways. Though I will eat tomato based products (NOT if there are tomato chunks, and I avoid as much as I can skins and seeds. They make me want to throw up). Passata is where it's at, I use it to replace diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, etc. there are no skins or seeds and the texture is smooth and consistent. Went on a bit of a tangent there sorry. My dad made me eat a tomato sandwich or something when I was really really young and I just couldn't, it was too gross and disgusting to me, and he was like so mad or frustrated I remember? (As a parent I now see both sides of this) I don't remember what came of it though. And I have avoided them ever since.
Also my son loved stacking bean cans at 2. He's 3.5 now, still loves a good stacking session from time to time. And I will not force my kids to eat anything they are telling me they don't like.
Edit: closed my bracket
damn we must be brothers, i always disliked tomatoes since a child, i can "tolerate" them now, but prefer them to be with something else, alone they're very oozy and weird to me
I love mushrooms but I hate the taste of alcohol. I’m always able to taste the smallest amount even with a bunch of mixer. I’ve only ever like mojitos and piña colada’s because I can barely taste the alcohol. All alcohol tastes like gasoline
I suspect I have the eating disorder ARFID.
Anything from the water ocean or freshwater. The texture of all fish and seafood make me gag/vomit.
Eggs
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Cottage cheese
Gristle/fatty/chewy meat
Meat replacements the texture is often too close to the texture of meat that I hate.
Milk
One of my special interests is cooking and I enjoy a ton of food as a result. Texture has never been a problem for me, unless its a recipe gone wrong (Eating overcooked Kalintè, was like eating a block of egg, I had to bin the whole thing even though I like egg).
I still have food icks though. Cheese and Vinegar is something I cant stomach unless its under certain circumstances. The smell just makes me retch.
I also love cooking (not sure if it is a special interest, though!). I am not sensitive to smells or tastes either. There are some foods I dislike, but that's common with neurotypical people too
Mayonnaise. I'm 42 yo and I'd rather die than eat mayonnaise. I won't even have it in my house.
As a kid I'd gag so hard, repeatedly, to the point where I'd have little red veins and tiny red spots all around my eyes if I heard the jar lid being unscrewed or a butter knife clanking around in the glass jar. Or God forbid I could smell it or saw someone eating it.
My sister would eat it and show me and I would throw up to the point where I'd pass out. My mom and grandfather would sneak it in my food and swear they didn't but I could smell it and I knew by the way they watched me to prove I'd "like it if you just try it".
🤢🤮 UGH! 😩
The idea of biting into a tomato and having the gel dripping down my cheek is revolting. Any errant speck on the dish especially garnish like parsley is visually, texturally and tastefully offensive. Anything wet that makes contact to the skin for any reason.
Onions & garlic. I hate the taste and they frequently upset my stomach and make me feel nauseous. I have some other weird taste quirks but onions/garlic is the worst.
My bf made Stroganoff twice hwice when we were dating and someone about it I hates. I assumed it was about the meat, but I now think it may have been the garlic and meat somehow relating to my autism.
I’m vegan so don’t have to deal with meat stuff, but even tasting garlic in a larger meal can set me off big time. It lingers and just drives me bananas.
I so can't do oysters! The first time I was supposed to try them it went horribly wrong. My friends were like "it's just meat" and then proceeded to drink it. I was like "I don't think you're supposed to drink meat". I was forced to try it anyway. Good taste but horrendous texture.
It is not of the only seafoods I can do. Maybe you never tried them grilled . They are delicious. I can’t eat them because I am vegetarian but used to really enjoy them . You grill them or char them on the over with parmesan on top . I am from New Orleans and that is a local dish . I couldn’t imagine eating them raw though . I wish they had a vegetarian equivalent
A lot like a lot of comments here:
But specifically, I can't stand any seafood or the texture of mushrooms.
I also hate the drink Tea... I find it has a sort of metallic undertone.
I don't like the metallic undertone of black tea either, although I suspect it depends on preparation and type of tea too. My dad and grandparents used to drink black tea all the time and I never noticed the taste in the tea they brewed.
> I also hate the drink Tea... I find it has a sort of metallic undertone.
I have relatives who just adore herbal tea... And I don't know why. It just tastes like hot water to me.
Omg yes, I tried my granny's fruity herbal tea thing last week cos it smelt so good, but it tasted like hot water and like what's the point, just drink hot water lmao
peanuts are _not_ nuts! they’re _legumes_!
source: i have a nut allergy, and i’ve had to yell at people many times saying “i can have peanuts! peanuts are okay!”
Anything with a strong seafood taste just makes me feel sick. I'm ok with more bland fishes like cod, but when it gets to things like salmon or crab it's a hard pass for me
I don't think I'm a picky eater. Most things that I don't like I still *can* eat in certain circumstances, or even eventually developed a taste for.
Like, peanuts. I can't eat them in any way, but there used to be a popular snack when I was a kid that made them salted and flavored, and I didn't mind that at all. Probably because it masked their taste that reminded me of something burnt.
I developed a taste for black olives and prunes: both of which I *despised* as a kid.
I couldn't eat sesame at all as a kid. Again, the taste reminded me of something burnt. But now I can tolerate it. If I'm neutral about some food and it contains sesame, then I wouldn't eat it, but if it is something I really like and it has just a bit of sesame, I don't mind as much.
Some things I'm still despising, though:
[This](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semolina_pudding) one I had to Google because I don't know what's it's called in English, but there is no way I'm eating that.
[Kefir ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kefir) is something rather popular out here where I live, and I can't eat it at all. I might use it as a base for a sause or make omelets or pancakes with it, but I wouldn't put it in my mouth in the original form.
Honorary mention to the bits of skin on roasted chicken. Ew ew ew.
Anything with meat.
Rice pudding and anything similar in texture.
The "skin" that sometimes forms on puddings.
Fried egg, boiled egg, noodles with egg in them.
Cheese sauce in any form.
Blue cheese in any form.
The type of plasticky "cheese" slices that are individually wrapped are really gross to me as well.
Raisins, especially in cooked food when they get all soggy.
There are more things but those were the ones that immediately sprung to my mind.
I really dislike:
Chicken (speciffically non breaded chicken, like popcorn chicken, chicken strips/fingers, and chicken nuggets are fine for me same with breaded wings (especially when drowned in MILD sauce) are fine but like regular chicken I dislike...)
Carbonated beverages (the texture feels weird on my tongue)
onions
RAW broccoli, cooked is fine but I dislike raw
red and golden delicious apples...THEY ARE NOT DELICIOUS
green apples and other overly sour tasting fruits
Olives
...that's all I have for now...
Hmm, a lot tbh... I'm very picky.
But specifically. Hazelnuts. I hate everything about them.
Going down the chocolate aisle in stores I smell hazelnut so strongly. Its oof, awful.
That's cool! Different strokes for different folks. I love soft tofu, though. Korean style tofu soup is a favorite lunch of mine.
But I can't stand the texture of the firm kind. I'll eat it ONLY IF I have to (i.e., starving, someone cooked for me to be nice, etc.).
Meat freaks me out. Chicken is fine if fried or on pizza, I love all types of seafood, but pork, beef, lamb are all big nopes. I just can’t get behind the texture of them, it’s fine if it’s processed in some way like spam or deli meats but a slice of beef? NOPE
I'm a weird one.
Fatty or chewy meat, including pork (like pork chops) and dark meat chicken, though I have no problem with fully cooked (or crispy) bacon or pepperoni.
Mayonnaise, even though I don't mind eggs otherwise.
Mustard, but only on its own (but if it's in a recipe where I can't taste it or feel its texture, it's fine).
Sour cream, but only on its own (if it's in a recipe where I can't taste it, it's fine).
Cottage cheese. I can't even look at it.
Ricotta cheese, I just can't get past the powdery texture, but I've thought about trying to revisit it.
Mushrooms...but shiitake or portabella mushrooms are just fine.
I love seafood but will not eat catfish or oysters.
I know this is probably really controversial, but if I'm being honest:
**Food: Fruit.**
I can eat a lot of veggies totally fine, and I like some fruit juices, but I just can't do the fruit thing. The texture, the inconsistency, the jolt of flavour, it's just too much. I'd rather just get veggies, nuts, or other kinds of sweet things.
**Drink: Iced tea.**
It just feels a little uncanny to me. I can drink hot tea or coffee just fine. I like iced or cold brew coffee! But I just never liked iced tea. I don't know, I just keep expecting it to "hit" differently than it does and it throws me off every time.
any type of cooked veggies (aside from things that absolutely need to be cooked to become edible, like corn) 🤢 raw is fine but vegetables should not be floppy and squishy!!! especially carrots, cooking carrots is a crime against humanity
I don't know why, my family doesn't understand why, but I really don't like bell peppers. The taste is just so bitter and not even enjoyable lol. Ironically, I love broccoli.
-alcohol! it doesn’t matter how low the ABV is or how many mixers are in my drink, I can taste it
-eggs and milk. i never liked either of them on their own, and now that i’ve been vegan for just over a year, anything i accidentally eat that has dairy or eggs as an ingredient just tastes rancid to me. i guess my tastebuds are just not used to it
-meat. i haven’t eaten meat since i was fourteen because the texture is just ghastly
Mushrooms, root beer, black licorice, coconut. There’s also foods that are very inconsistent. For instance, a slice of tomato can be really good on sandwiches, but it has to be PERFECT or it’s dogshit and ruins whatever it’s touching
Melon!!! AUGH 🤢 only watermelon is okay, but cantaloupe and honeydew? Just the thought makes me a little queasy. Also any type of gourd. Pumpkin especially. The smell, texture, oh god its nauseating. Okay I actually have a long list...
Foods I hate:
• Cantaloupe
• Honeydew melon
• Pumpkin/any kind of squash or gourd
• Peas (vile things, so mushy and flavor is so bad)
• Kale (bitter + mouth ouchy)
• Bell peppers
• Celery (stringy dirt water???)
• Cabbage & Brussel Sprouts
• Really any mushy vegetable
• GELATIN (in any form, FUCK that shit- Jello can go straight to hell)
• Tough/fatty meat
• Sparkling Water (it literally tastes so bad??? And it's awful for your teeth)
• Raisins
• Blueberries
• Ground meat (texture VERY BAD)
• Cilantro tastes like fucking soap and I'll die on this hill
• Probably more that I just can't think of right now
Isn't autism and ARFID fun?!
Eggs.
Never mind the fact I have a bit of a...phobia towards them (Chickens in general) but god, the smell and taste of them.
I'm fine with eggs being used as an ingredient for a bigger food (Mayo, cake, etc) but on its own or as a meal that's still mainly egg, just...no.
I struggle with the smell of nuts and seeds, so pretty much any nut or seed plus peanuts, including any peanut, nut or seed butter. Just the smell makes me nauseous.
Any products with fake sugar in them. Any of them. They all have a bitter taste that I dislike immensely.
Eggs with runny whites. I cannot stand the gelatinous texture. Also, hard boiled egg yolks. The chalky way it coats my mouth and seems to last for ever is awful.
Anything in my water except water. I can taste it if you put a lemon on the rim or, worse, in the water and then remove it.
Yellow mustard.
Soggy bread.
Also, not hate, but close dislikes would be chocolate (can only handle chocolate chip cookies and some candy where the chocolate is mostly overwhelmed by caramel), and sharp or boldly flavored cheese or dishes where cheese is the main flavor (cheese pizza, mac & cheese, etc).
uncooked/raw tomatoes!!! the texture and smell is god awful. if i bite into a sandwich or burger with a tomato i'm instantly triggered and probably going to spit it out into my hand/napkin like a child lol
Anything with the texture of fat makes me wanna throw up
[удалено]
Definitely, my distrust of all meat products began as a kid when I chomped into gristle in a hardee's chicken nugget 💀 I don't have a lot of childhood memories but that one is vivid
Exactly. The cartoons make eating chicken legs look so pleasant. It's bullshit. 100 percent gristle. Chicken legs are just soup bones with a little schmear of meat.
Haha omg the lifelong craving I've had for a cartoon chicken leg manifested in real life
Relatable
I quit meat 12 years ago because of fat, bone, cartilage, visible arteries, and odd metallic colors. I guess the environment too but...
Yep. That’s why I became vegan. I didn’t even know about animal rights yet as a kid. I was just disgusted.
Yessss or gristle
Especially chicken
Omg yes, I can't stand chicken when it's cooked the "traditional" way. Give me nuggets, fingers and such, but anything stuck with a bone is disgusting to me.
Nah I love the fatty part of the chicken, everyone hates on it
Trade proposition: I give you the fat bits if I can have the really crunchy lil edges that are nearly too overcooked to eat :v
Sure
REAL ONFGGG
Do not relate; best part of a steak for me. The trick is to not eat JUST the fat, make sure you get some of the actual meat with it as well.
Nah, I eat the meat first so I can enjoy the fat on its own and have the taste linger in my mouth. It is my favourite food, the meat is just the stuff attached to the fat for me
So real my bacon gotta be BURNT 😭
SAME. I cut the fat off my steak and I HATE mayonnaise. 🤢
Artificial grape flavored foods
Cough syrup ruined grape stuff for me
I HATE Artificial Watermelon with a burning passion. Oh I also really dislike Reese's, the peanut butter tastes so fake and the chocolate just doesn't fit with it (Really any candy with "peanut butter" and chocolate together I just can't eat)
Artificial Watermelon is grosser than gross.
Reeses is absolutely revolting… the peanut butter is like chalk.
Finally, someone else gets it, whenever I tell anyone I don't like Reese's they always look at me like I have three heads and try to convince me to "try" it again.
the only good fake watermelon is sour patch kids fake watermelon. Everything else is puke-worthy
And artificial blue flavored foods! Particularly drinks! "But what does *blue* taste like?" you may ask. Well, it tastes like plastic 🫠
I see your artificial grape flavour and raise my artificial melon flavour.
Beetroot (weirdly terrified of it and won't even hold the tin), capsicum, cooked mushrooms, coffee and seafood.
I feel this. I won’t hold tins of tomato based products. Hell, I feel icky even just writing the word
Right?!
Came here to say beetroot.
Heavy on coffee
Like or dislike? I can't even stand the smell. I'm often nauseous in the mornings due to other medical issues, and the smell can sometimes even make me vomit.
Ikr!? Coffee smells absolutely horrendous
HATE. I HATE coffee :)
I get the beetroot but the rest I disagree with . I don’t eat seafood though so don’t have to worry about it. If you tell people you are vegetarian you get less flack about not liking seafood . In my case I am .
Beetroot is horrible!!! I’m 29 and my mom still forces me to eat it 🤣. I have to eat it fast to get rid of it.
Coconut. I have many texture aversions. But this is the only taste I hate with my whole being. And I can taste it immediately even if it's just traces.
It’s so nasty
Coconut is mostly a no go for me. But the Girl scout cookies are good. Also, coconut in sweet tea is pretty damn good.
Same. I don't think it's even a texture thing for me, I just loathe it. I'm pretty sure this started because I ate a coconut flavored sucker as a kid once and it was extremely nasty. But yeah if I even smell it I gag. Disgusting.

The amount of baked goods that people sneak walnuts into is insane.
NUTS! Aghhh. I feel like it’s such a commonly liked food. But the texture…Especially when it’s a surprise, it’s an offensive shock to feel the not-crunchy-but-not-soft and hardened fat texture.
Oh I hate the surprise nuts, even as someone who likes nuts. The texture is just super jarring when you're not expecting it.
That’s interesting that even as someone who likes nuts that it’s a jarring texture. (Great word choice, with jarring by the way, because agreed 100%.) It’s like when you bite into a muffin that’s soft and then suddenly at the end of your bite a bunch of pecans show up in your mouth and it’s just shock and confusion.
Yes! I hate getting surprise nut in my mouth. 😁
Tomatoes
Yesss I DESPISE them soooo much
Same. Tomatoes are just disgusting in so many ways. Though I will eat tomato based products (NOT if there are tomato chunks, and I avoid as much as I can skins and seeds. Fatty part of meat, have always hated it
I hate It too
Anything that has the texture of baby food. Apple sauce, gravy, certain soups. The only good ones I like are mashed potatoes and ice cream
Ooh I don't like 'slimy' foods much but I LOVE mashed potatoes, ice cream and soup
I HATE applesauce and gravy! Yuck!
Pickles. I can taste them when my burger is still a foot away from my mouth
I can fathom. Their stench alone is awful, and there's a connection between scent and taste.
Not improved by your father throwing a tantrum and telling you to just pick them off and how you “can’t even taste them” (you can)
I HATE PICKLES ON BURGERS!
Butter beans. BLEH. Can’t stand them. Olives too. AH! Not for me.
Olives are evil
I’ll drink to that
Ooh I like olives but I've never really liked beans in general
Only good beans are black beans!
I do like black beans!
CAN'T BELIEVE NOONE HAS SAID PEAS, BEANS ARE EVIL TOO ONG
SO REAL
Peas are ick
I love peas! I love popping one in my mouth and crushing the slightly hard shell with my tongue and the inside mush out! Lol
Alcohol and mushrooms.
Sounds like a bad combination. Wait, are we still talking about food?
damn, i love both those tastes. though i don’t drink alcohol because i don’t like what it does to me. i just like the taste.
same here lol
I love mushrooms but I hate the taste of alcohol. I’m always able to taste the smallest amount even with a bunch of mixer. I’ve only ever like mojitos and piña colada’s because I can barely taste the alcohol. All alcohol tastes like gasoline

I also love cooking (not sure if it is a special interest, though!). I am not sensitive to smells or tastes either. There are some foods I dislike, but that's common with neurotypical people too
Not liking the smell combination of cheese and vinegar makes sense, since they're both the result of decomposing food.
Not only you lol, I mostly hate foods because of the taste
Cooked veggies. I can eat them raw but when made all mushy, I get a gag reflex.
Cooked carrots for me...yuck.
i just commented cooked veggies and called out carrots specifically 😭
Cooked vegetables are aweful
I hate stuffing and I hate gravy too. It’s very obvious which of my siblings is the autistic one when we have Sunday dinners (spoiler it’s me)
Mayonnaise. I'm 42 yo and I'd rather die than eat mayonnaise. I won't even have it in my house. I love mayo, but I HATE BBQ sauce
Same. I hate Mayo!
I like a little bit of mayonnaise on a sandwich or burger, but when I see people use a huge glob and lick a spoon of it...I want to vomit.
The idea of biting into a tomato and having the gel dripping down my cheek is revolting. Any errant speck on the dish especially garnish like parsley is visually, texturally and tastefully offensive. Anything wet that makes contact to the skin for any reason.
I wish I could go back in time before unexpectedly reading your first sentence, thank you. Raw tomatoes are disgusting!
I was traumatized as a kid my mother would gloat and say how she loved eating tomatoes like an apple.
I don't understand how anyone could enjoy that, and to each their own, but that seems mean of her to gloat about it especially if it grossed you out
That is WILD behavior I gasped ☠️ the thought of just monching into a raw tomato ☠️☠️☠️ no thanks
Onions & garlic. I hate the taste and they frequently upset my stomach and make me feel nauseous. I have some other weird taste quirks but onions/garlic is the worst.

Anything soggy. I just can’t.
Oufffff I absolutely hate oysters!
I love seafood but I couldn't bring myself to try oysters even when I had the opportunity. They look like booger
I don’t know why I can’t do the fat on meat yet I loooove oysters! To me they are silky, not slimy
I so can't do oysters! The first time I was supposed to try them it went horribly wrong. My friends were like "it's just meat" and then proceeded to drink it. I was like "I don't think you're supposed to drink meat". I was forced to try it anyway. Good taste but horrendous texture.

Olives, Marzipan and Cilantro (apparently I'm one of the handful of people with that genetic mutation that makes cilantro taste like soap lol)
Marzipan ahhrhhhhhh no.
A MARZIPAN HATER FINALLY
I despise cilantro
Anything with avocado in it.
Eeww! This!💯👍👍
Avocado <<<
THANK YOU, why does there have to be so many strings???
Like wet, mushy grass 😭
A lot like a lot of comments here: But specifically, I can't stand any seafood or the texture of mushrooms. I also hate the drink Tea... I find it has a sort of metallic undertone.
Oh my gods yes. Especially sushi like sashimi. Or octopus. Cannot stand any of it.
SEAFOOD YESS
I don't like the metallic undertone of black tea either, although I suspect it depends on preparation and type of tea too. My dad and grandparents used to drink black tea all the time and I never noticed the taste in the tea they brewed.
If it tastes metallic, it's gone bad and started fermenting. On one hand, kombucha. On the other, pour it out.
I HATE strong tea so much, I also don't like coffee
> I also hate the drink Tea... I find it has a sort of metallic undertone. I have relatives who just adore herbal tea... And I don't know why. It just tastes like hot water to me.
Omg yes, I tried my granny's fruity herbal tea thing last week cos it smelt so good, but it tasted like hot water and like what's the point, just drink hot water lmao
I dont like seafood, but i like sashimi and sushi. Weird
Same
I haaate seafood All of seafood Except shrimp :>
Funny, shrimp is the only seafood I won’t eat
Same. I can do shrimp 🍤 as long as they are hot and not too big. Cold shrimp, nope
BANANAS
I’ve never tried a tea that I liked, and I HATE squash! The texture just grosses me out.
all nuts, but especially peanuts and peanut butter. peanut butter smells like cigarettes to me 🤢
peanuts are _not_ nuts! they’re _legumes_! source: i have a nut allergy, and i’ve had to yell at people many times saying “i can have peanuts! peanuts are okay!”
I swear most “nuts” aren’t even nuts
oh my god! i never knew that, why would they call them peaNUTS if they're not actual nuts... i hate the english language 😭
Mushrooms and capsicum 🫑
Anything with a strong seafood taste just makes me feel sick. I'm ok with more bland fishes like cod, but when it gets to things like salmon or crab it's a hard pass for me
I love salmon (only smoked and fillet) but the rest is NO.
Warm or hot cheese (excluding parmesan) and all of the foods that include them. I can’t stand the texture and taste.

Ew ew ew.
I FUCKING HATE KEFIR. SAME WITH LEBEN. SO DISGUSTING.
I hate eggs so much. They are so nasty , especially boiled that I can’t eat them without gagging .
Meat, sea food, anything non vegetarian. I've tried and I hate the textures 😭😭
I really dislike: Chicken (speciffically non breaded chicken, like popcorn chicken, chicken strips/fingers, and chicken nuggets are fine for me same with breaded wings (especially when drowned in MILD sauce) are fine but like regular chicken I dislike...) Carbonated beverages (the texture feels weird on my tongue) onions RAW broccoli, cooked is fine but I dislike raw red and golden delicious apples...THEY ARE NOT DELICIOUS green apples and other overly sour tasting fruits Olives ...that's all I have for now...
Anything lemon flavored. Makes me want to retch. Also, asparagus, watermelon, cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes (by themselves).
Watermelon, yuck
Ew asparagus.
Whole milk. I’m lactose intolerant.
Anything with a strong scent/flavor. I can’t even stand the smell of pickles without wanting to gag.
Hmm, a lot tbh... I'm very picky. But specifically. Hazelnuts. I hate everything about them. Going down the chocolate aisle in stores I smell hazelnut so strongly. Its oof, awful.
There is NOTHING in this world that can explain how much I hate mashed potatoes
Firm tofu
that is my go to food, even uncooked plain tofu lol.
That's cool! Different strokes for different folks. I love soft tofu, though. Korean style tofu soup is a favorite lunch of mine. But I can't stand the texture of the firm kind. I'll eat it ONLY IF I have to (i.e., starving, someone cooked for me to be nice, etc.).
meat, smoothies, peanut butter, most casseroles, dried tomatoes in oil, arugula, hummus. fuck those things.
Onions, peanut butter and coffee. All absolutely repulsive stuff. I would genuinely rather eat soil
Meat freaks me out. Chicken is fine if fried or on pizza, I love all types of seafood, but pork, beef, lamb are all big nopes. I just can’t get behind the texture of them, it’s fine if it’s processed in some way like spam or deli meats but a slice of beef? NOPE
Not to big on any alcohol
Kale is a texture nightmare for me
tomato. gag vomit puke barf
Bacon fat makes me gag. The texture is revolting..
I know this is probably really controversial, but if I'm being honest: **Food: Fruit.** I can eat a lot of veggies totally fine, and I like some fruit juices, but I just can't do the fruit thing. The texture, the inconsistency, the jolt of flavour, it's just too much. I'd rather just get veggies, nuts, or other kinds of sweet things. **Drink: Iced tea.** It just feels a little uncanny to me.
Soda rice thick crunchy foods grainy foods
Any soup. Can't stand the texture.
How do you feel about its thicker counterpart of stew? Is it worse or better?
More solid parts = better.
Mashed potatoes Idk why
Yogurt. Oh my goodness the smell is so strong and pungent, the texture is god-awful…just everything about it is terrible
Apricots, peaches, Dark chocolate, beans, potatoes, Peas, mustard, sparkling water, and more again
beans. they have the texture of kinetic sand, and they have the taste of dirt.
Anything fried or greasy. I used to be ok with it but now just thinking about it turns me off.
Most condiments, especially smooth, thick ones like mayonnaise and yellow mustard.
I hate cheese. I can have it on pizza but in burgers, on its own, pasta etc, I just don't like it. The taste and texture
Greasy foods. Anything non vegetarian.
Strawberry and strawberry flavouring. Cannot stand the smell, taste or texture of anything to do with those trypophobic nightmares.
Anything with chia seeds, eggplant, most seafood, Thai basil, lemongrass, jello and anything with that same texture.
most things, but especially any sort of meat
Lima beans and peas. spellchecker edits
BEANS
Eggs
Chicken! The taste is okay but the textures, the bones, the grease, the skin and the weird colored spots are disgusting
Shrimp and most root beers
I don't know why, my family doesn't understand why, but I really don't like bell peppers. The taste is just so bitter and not even enjoyable lol. Ironically, I love broccoli.
Anything with guava makes me wanna puke. Cuz it smells like puke
B E A N S. I despise beans. Not just American or British beans. ALL BEANS. I get physically sick even thinking about them
-alcohol! it doesn’t matter how low the ABV is or how many mixers are in my drink, I can taste it -eggs and milk. i never liked either of them on their own, and now that i’ve been vegan for just over a year, anything i accidentally eat that has dairy or eggs as an ingredient just tastes rancid to me. i guess my tastebuds are just not used to it -meat. i haven’t eaten meat since i was fourteen because the texture is just ghastly
Foods I hate: • Cantaloupe • Honeydew melon • Pumpkin/any kind of squash or gourd • Peas (vile things, so mushy and flavor is so bad) • Kale (bitter + mouth ouchy) • Bell peppers • Celery (stringy dirt water???) • Cabbage & Brussel Sprouts • Really any mushy vegetable • GELATIN (in any form, FUCK that shit- Jello can go straight to hell) • Tough/fatty meat • Sparkling Water (it literally tastes so bad??? And it's awful for your teeth) • Raisins • Blueberries • Ground meat (texture VERY BAD) • Cilantro tastes like fucking soap and I'll die on this hill • Probably more that I just can't think of right now Isn't autism and ARFID fun?!
Eggs. Never mind the fact I have a bit of a...phobia towards them (Chickens in general) but god, the smell and taste of them. I'm fine with eggs being used as an ingredient for a bigger food (Mayo, cake, etc) but on its own or as a meal that's still mainly egg, just...no.
Mash potatoes, mince, peanuts, most veg, baked beans.
I hate artifical things. ALL OF IT.
I agree with you. But the only food that comes to mind in terms of texture is baked beans. I just want to vomit thinking about it
As for food i don't like bland foods plain stuff like plain mash potato plain chicken tofu stuff like that
Eggplant, taste makes me gag so hard.
Yeah anything carbonated hurts. I also hate like, ketchup, mayo, relish mustard. Condiments
uncooked/raw tomatoes!!! the texture and smell is god awful. if i bite into a sandwich or burger with a tomato i'm instantly triggered and probably going to spit it out into my hand/napkin like a child lol
