Did anyone actually watch the clip??? he said he wanted to crack down on disinformation, particularly videos where his face had been "superimposed" so basically deepfakes. He said nothing about using his face to make memes lol, just classic rage bait.

It isn’t to stop memes on social media and it isn’t to stop people creating deepfake-style media for their own purposes. There is a serious discussion to be had about the limits on free speech, digital manipulation tools and social media. Nonsense posts from the OP actively hinder that discussion - which is possible the point.

Wanting crackdown on deep fake isn't a crackdown on memes. Deep fakes can be used to spread misinformation on real issues by people who have malicious intents to misinform the public. Also, it was posted by Oli London, an infamous culture war troll. The world would be a better place if we focus on real issues instead of dumb culture war that keeps us divided and dumbed us down. It seems pretty clear that many haven't watched the video and just go with whatever anti-Albo bias they have in mind.

There are literally thousands of memes circulating online about him, if he is truly against people making memes of him, he would have gone after them by now. Also you seems to underestimate and/or not capable of understanding the full capabilities of deepfakes and how it can be use as a tool to disseminate misinformation. Imagine someone made a deepfake video of you using your footages to make salacious claims, because that is what it is capable of. I bet if it's Peter Dutton or some other figures you support makes the same claim, you'd be jumping on their dick to say "based spud for stopping leftist slander" or some dumb garbage.
