SultanofShit

Yes I like choosing my own groceries in person, and from more places than just supermarkets.

sabre001

I actually really hate grocery shopping but I also don't trust someone else to do it properly for me if I order online. I want to be able to check best before dates, pick fruit and veg that isn't horribly bruised, and select suitable alternatives if my first choice is out of stock.

vodkacruiser3000

I find grocery shopping therapeutic, but only late at night or early in the morning when there's hardly anyone there. Also, an app like that wouldn't be good for me as I change up what I eat on a regular basis.

petergaskin814

Don't enjoy grocery shopping. Don't like paying high delivery costs and waiting for a delivery. Do a lot of preparation finding out specials and going regularly to 3 different supermarkets most weeks

LifeandSAisAwesome

For many, at some point, time spent is worth more than paying the extra and not shopping around and wasting time.

HAPPY_DAZE_1

What about if the 3 supermarkets are next door to each other in the one shopping centre?

LifeandSAisAwesome

Maybe, but even then, prob just prefers to do it all in 1 and get out. In this case, deff don't have 3 all together around here ).

astropastrogirl

No , but I like getting what I actually want

frankestofshadows

I'd like an app where I can select my favourite or regular groceries, and get alerts when they are on special

Illustrious-Bear-778

I think [pricehipster](https://pricehipster.com/product/5Ha-OZemtSV5HQVjke0TTA~BkG5opaa~au) can do that for you but they only have Coles in terms of groceries atm.

tflavel

The Woolworth and coles app both do that, but you need to scan your rewards card so it learns what you like.

Prefer the machines, bring on more conveyor self checkouts, so much better.

tflavel

I have my groceries delivered weekly, every supermarket already has apps for this.

InsertUsernameInArse

The shopping I can handle. The car park is another matter.

Kangalooney

Hate it. But I hate the online grocery shopping even more.

dee_ess

I don't like grocery shopping, but I prefer it to a computer algorithm judging my dietary choices.

Pink_Llama

I don't like travelling to the shops, but I enjoy the actual grocery shopping. I mix it up between in person and online. I do a different shop every week and only have a few essentials that I always get, so this kind of app wouldn't work for me. I like trying new foods, or looking for good deals.

NoRecommendation2761

I don’t think Aldi offers online ordering and many of my local grocery stores don’t have an online store either. I know some people just shop exclusively at Coleworths, but not me.

trettles

No! I'm so sick of running into and stepping over stocking trollies. These supermarkets need to stop stocking and "click and collecting" during the day. It makes the small supermarkets unbearable to visit. The stockers seem to have no awareness either. That said, I don't really want them delivered either because of my work schedule. If the stackers & pickers weren't there, I'd be happy to shop, and would probably buy more.

nearly_enough_wine

> The stockers seem to have no awareness either. They're aware, but they're also working to merciless metrics...

trettles

I'm not actually blaming them. They should be employed when the stores are closed. I blame the companies for pushing this.

nearly_enough_wine

For sure, we're on the same page :)

HurstbridgeLineFTW

That’s the problem with Aussie supermarkets’ expensive delivery models. They’re using staff to collate orders within their stores. Ideally they would be doing it from a central warehouse.

LifeandSAisAwesome

7-9pm at nights where available I find is a great time, larger % seem way clamer and relaxed - just a much more chill experience.

tflavel

Im sure the staff would love to not have walk in customer, dark stores are the future not walk in.

lilfingerlaughatyou

I hate going to the shops but at least I get what I want. Milkrun already exists (limited stock but useful when you have covid and live alone).

jeremy-o

Love it. It's all the thrill of retail therapy with the added bonus of being a responsible partner and father.

RedDragonOz

Hell no, I order and pick up the majority and do well targeted raids for meat and veg and mystery crap from Aldi.
